Small, friendly neighborhood Avis. While it might be convenient if you're close by, the smaller location also means there are fewer available cars and fewer options if something goes wrong. When I picked up and dropped off my car, only one person was working. While they were very friendly and did their best, they could easily become overloaded when multiple people show up. When I picked up my car, I waited ~20min for the two parties ahead of me, which is reasonable, but I could also drive 20 min away to another larger location in that time. Avis cars are typically cleaner and have lower mileage than other neighborhood rental agencies. Check to see if your car insurance covers rentals, as it's certainly more expensive if you get it from Avis.

Good service. Smelly car. The customer service was good and quick. The car I was initially showed has a flat tire lol. Not a problem, just glad I saw it lol but I wouldn't have gotten far Lolol. The lady got me another car that smelled really bad. I had to use air fresher because it smelled like sweat. I don't know how thorough they are cleaning the car but I hope they do a better job next time.

Rented an intermediate SUV through Costco for this location. The rental they provided still had possessions from the previous renter inside and smelled strongly of weed and cigarettes. This makes me suspect that they DO NOT clean their rentals, and definitely do not clean their rentals up to COVID standards. Completely unacceptable. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because when I called to exchange, they did so without any problems. Considering how little they care about health hygiene and cleanliness, especially during this epidemic, I will not be returning.

LuLu will take care of you. Ask for her help! Man, I didn't know car rentals in Houston was so high in demand on a Wednesday. I think we called about 10 places and they had no cars to rent. We finally came across this Avis location and a lady gave us the good news that she had a car available. When we got there, she hooked us up with a discount and helped out with my financial issues. It all worked out in the end.

After driving off the lot, the tire pressure light came on. Thinking it was due to the hot and cold Houston temperatures, I planned to have it checked out. By the next morning (not even 24hrs) the tire was flat. I informed Avis of the situation and they sent someone out to change the flat and instructed me to return the vehicle. I was never informed of a possible service charge nor did I ask for the roadside assistance to be sent out. Avis made that decision on their own. I was notified by both Avis counter employees that I would not be charge ANYTHING since this was not my fault but a direct result of lack of maintenance on Avis' part. I was given a second rental and went on my way. Two weeks after returning the rental, I received a notice that I would be charged $87.17 for the total expense for services & repairs ($25 admin fee & $62.17 roadside/towing cost). The 1800 number was of course, not helpful and said it was my fault for not immediately informing Avis of the low tire pressure light and not returning the car that day. Luckily I always put my credit card on file with these types of services, so I contacted my bank and informed them of the situation and they labeled it as an unauthorized charge and took care of the rest. It's worth it to use Enterprise. I've always had wonderful, no surprise, & stress free experiences with them.

I've been coming to this Avis for a long time. I have had nothing but good experiences at this location. The staff is very nice and helpful. Mrs Tundra is awesome and took good care of us. She is always willing to help with anything we need or answer any questions we may have. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone who needs a car. Give them a chance you'll be glad that you did!

Worst customer service by Jasmine EVER!! I waited for someone to check out a car for 20 minutes and when she showed up loaded down with her Starbucks she had no sense of urgency. Also, she said since I didn't have a reservation at their site she didn't have to help me.
