Always a real treat to come into Houston from Spring and go to Barnabys. There were 6 of us (bunch of ladies) for lunch and the service was great. I think our server was Eric. Food was so good and there's always plenty of it. To go's are a must. Dessert was delicious.

So much to pick from on their menu! Service always seems friendly and great. Tough to give them 5 stars as the portions lean more quantity over quality (e.g their French fries are very average). I got the grilled chicken sandwich and it was massive. Tasted pretty good overall and toppings were fresh!

Barnaby's Cafe was just okay. The food wasn't anything special, and I don't think I'd return. My chicken was overly salty, and my daughter's chicken sandwich was very dry. The experience wasn't terrible, but with so many better options around, it didn't stand out. We had 2 babies and were not offered high chairs. I feel it would be obvious to a server that they are needed.

Great and friendly service! Spinach & Artichoke dip was especially tasty. Fresh food and a low key, casual environment. Went with my friend and his 2 year old, and the staff were all so amazing and helpful with the wee one! A definite regular hang out on our list!

Favorite Barnaby's location due to (1) the staff- while all staff across all locations are great people, the Heights local is my main stay. And (2), the chocolate cake. The heights location has the best chocolate cake of all others locals- this version has a creamy velvety chocolate frosting that makes me dream about this f'ing cake. Other locations vary and have more of a hard fondant frosting.,..it may be due to availability across all locations. I'll stick to heights in the mean time just because of... if you haven't picked up on the theme here yet... this heavenly to-die-for cake.

Barnaby's what has happened??? I used to go there 3-5 times a week before COVID. I still make it 1-3 times a week if I'm in town. Unfortunately I've seen a recent decline. They have hit the news with the server's pay getting cut. I understand you have to pay the bills, but it seems like they did it in a shady way. Stopped by today and found out they ended weekend breakfast service without notification. Now their new menu has gone up significantly. So you cut the server's pay and you charge the customers more? Over the past few years, some of the food items have gone down in quality (I'm sure for food costs). How can you tell me this isn't an ownership money grab? I've been a loyal customer for years, but I'm seriously questioning ownership's decisions and whether I really want to continue my patronage.

Barnaby's in Montrose is by far the best one! Service is top notch! The server was attentive but not overbearing, kept my tea filled regularly, and was watchful for my needs, bringing napkins, an extra plate, etc whenever it soared something was needed. And the burger - OMG! one of the best burgers I've ever had! It was almost too big but it was worth the handling issues. The guac was fresh and tasty. The fries are the thin narrow fries, which for me is a way to ruin a French fry bc they're just too small to get a good amount of ketchup in them. But they were good: crispy and peppered (maybe a bit too much). I didn't have room this time for dessert, which is a game bc their chocolate cake is amazingly good.

The food here is popping! They serve you great sized portions for the price, don't ever feel like it's a rip off! The servers here are all very nice, a little cute for my taste but still very nice! All the restaurants are clean and are laid out to give you the southern cafe feel. Plenty of space for you and your party!

How Could They Do Away With Breakfast?! The service and food is always a phenomenal experience at this location. I have never had a bad food item or received anything less than great service, going back to when it was on White Oak. However, this place was a breakfast mainstay for me, my friends, my family, and out of town guests. The increasingly poor decisions of management to first reduce the days breakfast is served to just the weekend, and, now, remove breakfast entirely is absolutely ridiculous. The fact that it is 9:30 on a Saturday morning at this very moment and I can't pop over for breakfast is absolutely mind blowing. Hopefully, whoever made this decision will bang their head a second time and their common sense will return along with reasonable breakfast hours.

The food was excellent! We ordered a guacamole appetizer, and the flatiron steak and salmon dinners. Everything was perfectly cooked, and portions were large enough that we had a second meal the next day from the leftovers. I was especially impressed that the asparagus and broccolini were crisp tender and delicious. Our server, Isabella, was very helpful and did a great job taking care of us. Barnaby's has a casual and relaxed atmosphere, which was exactly what we needed, as we were tired and hungry. Highly recommended.
