Having a car available that was promised , got an electric car, trying to charge it was a nightmare! We had preordered a Camry . Would never use them again!

I booked my rental for a mid-sized SUV i.e. Rav4 on a Monday for Friday morning of the same week. I showed up and was told that there weren't any rentals available other than a single Suburban because another location came and took their available rentals because people were extending their reservations. Bottom line: reservations mean nothing. They'll of course accept your payment in advance but there's no guarantee you're going to be able to get your rental. I called a nearby Enterprise as they were taking reservations for pickup today but won't have any vehicles until next week. These car rental places feel like a scam. If you're going to allow people to extend rentals, then add on hefty fees to disincentivize this type of behavior. You're screwing your customers.

I have rented from this location several times, and each time has been great! After having a bad experience with Hertz, I found this Budget and have been renting from them ever since! Keith always livens up the building and always has a smile on his face. I truly appreciate him and his customer service towards not only myself but my husband! I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS!!

If I could give this budget one star I would! The lady in the front I believe her name is Anna she is rude and misinformed she was being rude to the people in front of me as well but I honestly did not think she was going to continue to be like that being that I was not being rude to her at all! She kept making me move my car to different places because she didn't want to walk for like what?! Mam you work here not me! I've been coming to budget for years but today was my last straw seriously! SMH and she was also in there alone not being helpful everybody in there was confused because she kept going to back for some odd reason

I rented a vehicle from a Budget in Houston, Texas for a work meeting that I had to attend three hours away. I had rented before from the location twice and had one negative experience prior- but decided to give them another chance, as we all have "bad days" and they were the most affordable. When I picked up the car, it was not cleaned- appeared to have just come from a road trip and had a bad smell. I notified the rep and he advised that he would make a note so that I wouldn't be charged for any smell damages to the car as he had noticed them too. I wasn't exactly pleased but I had the car for one day so wasn't trying to be very picky. I immediately drove the car home and parked it. This morning when I woke up to drive to my destination, it was running. When I turned on the windshield wipers they did not work (smearing and screeching on windshield). I turned off the windshield wipers and tried to spray with the windshield fluid to clear off the marks to find out that it did not have any windshield wiper fluid in the car. At this point, I became very frustrated as I was not able to drive the car in the rain. The office was not open yet so I could not call in to where I rented so I called corporate. I explained the issue that I was having with the car and the representative was very rude, stating there was nothing he could do. I asked why would Budget even allow a car that is not fully functional on their lot and explained the scent and how I could not drive the car in the rain. Again, he told me there was nothing he could do and when I asked to speak to a manager he simply told me "I am not calling a manager for this to speak to you." To be frank, I was shocked. Usually with corporate companies, even if the manager gives the same feedback, a rep will call them to the line. I expected to not get refunded as that is the business but I did expect at least a good customer service experience (apology, discount off current rental due to problems). When I went to return the car, since I drove less than 75 miles in the car, there was a charge on my bill because I did not drive the car more than 75 miles away. Due to the poor customer service regarding the car and the rude behavior displayed by Budget corporate, I will definitely never rent at another location again. The behavior displayed was very unprofessional and when I notified the corporate rep that I would be posting a negative review about this experience, he simply stated "ok" so that shows the customer experience that they are comfortable providing. This experience has truly taught me that "you get what you pay for" and to utilize other companies in the future for this service.

So made a reservation for pick up on a Fri. The place said they opened at 8 & yes the door were open but still not ready to receive customers. The computers still had to be turned on & that was a wait plus the computer would not turn on properly. Okay fine things happen. Michelle checked me in & I was on my way. Now about an hr. Or so later I noticed some warning signals come on indicating tire pressure was low & some other signal light was on. So I brought it back to budget for them to either see what the issue was or get a replacement car. When i arrived Michele asked if the car was still full..i said yes. She came back in & said that the gauge moved a little bit so thst i eould be charged for gas.....WHAT!!!!!!!! I dont think so. That car should have been inspected before it was put on the lot for reservations & that i was yhe one being inconvienced so that i sho7ld have to pay for anything!!so that xhargw was take off..thank yoy...then i was told by Michelle that that car would be serviced so that I was being upgrade to a SUV....yeah great!!! or so I thought. This car had a headrest popped or & a bumper from another car in the back seat. REALLY?????? So I asked Michelle if they were any other full size vehicle that I could take because I didn't feel comfortable driving that car. She said No so I'm like okay so what's the next step because I made a reservation but because of service issue with the car & the other vehicle me not feel safe what other options do I have? SILENCE...so I suggested she call the next closest Budget to see if they have a car that they could bring over. She called & they didn't. At this point I'm looking for any input on how she plans to help resolve this issue, again silence. So I said where is the next closest one? Airport okay fine.. she said I could bring it over there & do a vehicle exchange. Fast forward...got to the location on airport & when I tell u the customer service is 100x better!!!!Had no issues at all & got a nicer car....No more Knight rd. for me.
