Terrible food. Sloppy preparation. The beef shawarma taste like it was sitting in hot water for hours and that's how they kept it warm. The texture was so chewy and just tasteless and by the time I got it it was cold! The mix zatar/ cheese bread was terrible. It's not a mix it is a half and half for starters. The cheese was just smack down on one side and not melted properly. Nothing felt fresh. This was my second attempt wit them and my last. Please don't waste your time supporting this trash.

I found here on American Airlines Dining website.I wanted to earn miles.I visited here on a Sunday around 9pm.Here was located in a " dead shopping strip".Most of the stores were empty.Actually, there was Happy Tea here.It was closed.The location is challenge. I opened the door.I had to smell "Hookah".I saw people who were smoking.I have not been a smoker in my entire life.I am sorry.I didn't like it.When an owner saw my face, the facial expression clearly says" Why a Chinese here?????" ( I am from Japan, But most people instantly regard me as a Chinese).LOL. Actually, most of the people here were Middle-Eastern looking persons. Anyway, I got a menu.I ordered chicken shawarna for $7.50.I got a check.I was surprised that it said" $16".I asked him 'Why?".He said you ordered two.I didn't say two.But I decided to eat one in the evening and the other one in the morning.He gave me a free water bottle. The food were okay.However, I had to eat french fries, which are one of the unhealthy food in the world.I heard that Mediterranean food are very healthy. Overall, this is a mixed review.I like the food.here is open after 10pm.But the fries and hookah are unhealthy.I may return to buy some food for to-go" after 9pm.,I can't eat in the smoke.If you like Hookah, please visit and here.

Cafe Awtar is a new Mediterranean restaurant and hookah lounge located on Richmond ave. close to Little India. I was invited to a private tasting to try a few things off of their menu and to check out the new space. I really appreciate that this establishment serves halal food and provides great service. Although I'm not too familiar with Mediterranean food - blame my upbringing - I truly enjoyed all of the flavors from each dish. The chef has a unique spin on Mediterranean traditional dishes compared to what I've had somewhere else. Their menu offers a lot of options. From my understanding this place is mostly dedicated to serving late club hours. Iv been 3 times and all time between 5/6am I believe they close by 7am ..... it's BYOB. They sale hookah and food only .. it free parking but but now they have promoters so occasionally they may charge $5/10 to enter . It's not set up for dancing. It's more for socializing. You can dance in your area that's cool. Because of the seating arrangement I say that . They have restrooms. They also have a kitchen . Me personally I tried the Indomie , Gyro, and Shawarma.. just Nasty . They Shawarma was ok but the other food was not good at all. It's a cool lil spot if you want to bring you a drink and a few buddies n just kinda chill or mingle and smoke .

I thought I would give this place a try for the first time because I really REALLY like Mediterranean food. I am very upset though about the taste of the Beef Shawarma plates. They were EXTREMELY salty, and if I say extremely I'm talking about inedible. The sauce or whatever it's drenched in just ruins the entire order. The meat is very tender and lovely, but I can't even stomach eating it because of all the saltiness/sourness found on the meat. Not to mention that the rice was damp and drizzled all over so it made it mushy.

Got to stop in and check out this new shisha chill spot, delicious food, great service, and the hookah hits! I come here regularly now to do my work, since the atmosphere is calm. It isn't dark and dingy inside like so many other cafes, instead it's welcoming and bright. The food is halal, the owner and staff are all really friendly and welcoming!

A very calm place with great ambiance. Music levels kept low for ease of conversations amongst individuals. Hookahs are very clean and each are used for specific flavor blends in order to avoid any cross-flavor taste. The owner and his staff are very hospitable and accommodating. Hookah order: peach mango mint (10/10) watermelon melon (10/10) Food order: Caesar salad with grilled chicken, seasoned to perfection (10/10) Mint lemonade (10/10) If you're tired of obnoxious music volumes and having to scream to talk to your friends, then try this place out. Calming and clean environment. Overall a great experience. We will definitely be visiting this place more often.

I visited this place for the first time and surprisingly, its a an excellent place. The atmosphere is very good with new decor. There is an outdoor and indoor seating. The folks that are serving are very nice and helpful. Ordered chicken shwarma and it was so delicious. Would not hesitate coming back again. Hopefully they will add some Indian cuisines.

Sadly the food was probably little worst then home cooked, the reason for two stars is when I took a bite into an appetizer it had the longest hair ever that somewhat traumatized me since it practically flossed one of my teeth. Had the sample platter and mixed kabob, wouldn't recommend either.
