Since 1994, over 40,000 people have been killed each year on US highways. The State of Texas has contributed at least 3,000 deaths per year to that total. Only California has had more people die on its roads. Since California and Texas are the two most populous states, this shouldn't come as a surprise. A better way to assess this data on a state-by-state basis is to calculate fatalities per 100 million vehicle miles traveled. In this regard using 2007 data, Texas is ranked right in the middle: 25th most lethal with 1.38 deaths per 100 million miles compared to a national average of 1.36. The data also tells you that you don't want to be driving in Montana or Louisiana who top the list with frequencies of 2.45 and 2.17 respectively. We take this very seriously and have zero tolerance for alcohol or drug use, not wearing your seat belt and talking on a cell phone while driving on company business. If you've ever flown into George Bush Intercontinental Airport from abroad, you're familiar with the incoming drill: get off the airplane, walk for a country mile, stand in line, go through immigration, wait for your luggage, go through customs, and emerge in the Terminal E lobby where half the people seem to be chauffeurs in black suits holding placards with names on them. When I enter the lobby, I just walk up and down the rows of dudes in suits holding signs until I see the one with my name on it. I've used them so much, I often get the same driver and they spot me before I spot them. I consider that a nice touch. A one-way trip to or from the airport costs about $90 (I live in the Energy Corridor). When I'm jet-lagged after a trans-Atlantic flight, this is a small price to pay for my personal health and safety (besides, I get reimbursed by my company for this business expense).

Have used this company many times providing lots of business mostly to and from the airport. Requested a quote to take our son to formal and was given a quote for the entire evening. Just needed a drop off and pickup. Wouldn't not budge on the outrageous quote of over $900! Unfortunately that will be a costly mistake. Poor business decision.
