More Viet food options!! I initially came here looking for com tam, but after taking a look at the menu, we opted to order the Bo Ne and Bun Rieu. Now, the issue I have with most places that serve bun rieu, is that they tend to be bland and missing the iconic pungent flavor. However, the bun rieu here is some of the best I've ever had. There was plenty of crab, and it was packed with flavor. I thought to myself: This is what bun rieu should taste like. As for the Bo Ne, I personally felt like the swerving of beef was a bit small. I got more onions than beef and relied on the sides to fill me up. Luckily there was bread, salad and pate to accompany the beef. The item that stole the show for today's meal: Nem Noung Cuon (Pork Sausage spring rolls. It was a tasy and refreshing switch up from the classic Goi Cuon, which comes with shrimp and pork belly. If you typically order the classic spring rolls, I highly reccomend giving this one a try. One of the servers got our order wrong, so there was a bit of confusion, but they quickly rectified the mistake and took care of us throughout our meal. Overall, 2 out of the 3 dishes we tried were really great. I'd come back to try out other items on the menu or come back to satisfy my bun rieu craving.

Com Tam Kim Vy was a spontaneous lunch stop after a quick visit to 85°C Bakery. The eye catching sign and the aroma of the grilled meat immediately drew us in. Before we knew it, we were seated inside the restaurant. The menu was straightforward with Com Tam being their specialty. We came with an open mind, ready to see if this spot lives up to its impression. The rice plate is usually piled on with a mixture of simple and customizable ingredients that invites you in. Unfortunately, the presentation here fell short. Each ingredients was spread out to fill the unnecessary large plate. The Bi (shredded pork), Cha (steamed egg) was especially skimpy, while the Suong Nuong (grilled pork chop) was thin and lacked charred flavor that makes a great Com Tam. A small soup on the side wasn't offered, that would've helped balance out the dryness of the rice plate. Service was another disappointment, the staff seemed disengaged offering little to no service. It's a shame because the restaurant is spacious and welcoming. The potential is definitely there, but the execution and service is left much to be desired.

Be aware their eggrolls don't come with fish sauce and also no vegetables to eat with It is the only place that charges us for those condiments These over charges are unacceptable. Sauce for nem nướng tasted awful, very runny and not fresh at all Nước mắm pha dipping sauce is salty and smell very strong ( must use cheap and low quality ingredients) I even texted to make sure all condiments were included before pickup the order. Never again.

New view spot that opened in my neighborhood and decided to give it a try! They're still working out the kinks, but overall the food and service were good. Located near the new car wash on 1960 and near Marcos Pizza bs Dirty dough they have covered a bustling spot with some construction near the area. Restaurants good for groups! We ordered the grilled pork rice plate and banh mi. I specifically asked for no cilantro but my sandwich came with a ton of it on the sandwich anyway, but they were nice enough to remake one without it. The baguette was crispy, but alot more narrow than most baguette styles but I just thought the sandwich was "ok." Their rice plate was better. We also ordered Thai tea at the end and didn't get enough condensed milk so we requested they add more and they did! Overall, I'd say it's ok! I'd be willing to give this place another shot to try a few other menu items

It is a breath of fresh air to have a new Vietnamese restaurant that does not only sell pho!! Vietnamese food is my favorite cuisine and I am so glad that this place can showcase that. The restaurant does NOT sell pho, but it has SO MUCH more to offer! Also, the rice dishes uses BROKEN rice, which is more authentic to the rice dishes compared to just long grain/Jasmine rice. Let me tell you that it seriously hits differently when eaten with the fish sauce. It is just so much better! The staff are all really friendly. The set up is you sit down, order food, and then walk up to the register to pay. Banh bot chien - the dish was good, but the sauce was okay. It was more salty than sweet (which is what I am used to and prefer). Com chien dat biet - This was so good! Flavorful, savory, and fragrant. The portion was great and loaded with protein. This is enough to share between two people. Com tam ga xoi mo - This was AMAZING! Don't be fooled by the quantity of food, because it was pretty filling, especially when eaten with the rice. The dish came with fish sauce on the side and I could literally just eat rice with fish sauce and be happy. The chicken was extremely crispy, like Korean double fried chicken. The flavor was on point, too! I highly recommend this dish!! The only discrepancy that I saw from the menu, was that the menu had a picture of red rice. Com tam bi suon cha - It is so rare to see this type of rice plate! Usually it's just grilled pork and that's it. The shredded pork may be weird to you if you're not used to it since it's gummy/chewy in texture. My brother ordered this so I can't attest to the taste. Bun thit nuong - Huge portion! I tried the meat and it was good, but not as flavorful as it could be. Overall, I'm excited about this place and so glad it is near my house. I would definitely come back again and try more dishes!

This restaurant, which just opened next to the dry cleaners, was surprisingly spacious and not too crowded when we visited. The food was delicious, but I only tried the rice pork dish #C7. The service was great; they added a bit more condensed milk to my tai tea, which really enhanced the flavor. The togo cup handle was also a nice touch.

No offense to the owners or staff. This is my honest review as a Vietnamese person. The restaurant specializes in Com tam (as it is in their restaurant name), and honestly... it is pretty lackluster compared to other places. My sister ordered Cơm Tấm Thịt Nướng Bì Chả (C8). Waiter brings the plate with just the Thit nuong (meat), missing all other components of the dish. Asked the waiter where everything else was and they corrected it. Truly, no problem at all. After bringing back the complete dish, the broken rice tasted dry (can definitely tell it was old) and the BBQ meat (thit nuong) was not good as well. It had a strange orange hue and no grill flavor either. The meat was probably cooked hours before, maybe a day before then reheated and served. My dad ordered from their special menu of the day, which was Pho Dac Biet. I did tell him that he is going to regret his decision because this place specializes in rice dishes... he was surely NOT impressed. They forgot to bring his side of rare meat and had to ask the waiter. Again, not a huge problem but worth mentioning. I suppose this is a PSA- do not order pho here and go to Pho Danh down the street if you really want to eat pho. I ordered the Bo Ne Dac Biet. It was okay. Nothing special. Sorry but we will not be coming back.
