Incredible. At first glance, the prices seem typical. And by typical, I mean high because barbeque has gotten pricey. $14 for a grilled cheese? No way... Well, in relation to portion size, this food is EXCEPTIONALLY well priced. That grilled cheese came with your choice of bbq meat and was enough for two. The brisket Frito Pie was the same. And the elote, considerably cheaper but still an exceptional bargain for its size. And that aside, everything was absolutely delicious. We will absolutely come by again.

We came here from out of town and the food was absolutely amazing. The best brisket taco we've ever had. The sauces were on point. Above all the amazing food, the owner, Alfredo (sorry if I spelled that wrong) came out and asked how everything was. You don't get that a lot. You can tell that he cares so much about his food, service and how people like it. The ambiance and atmosphere of the brewery lended itself to the food. If you're ever in Houston, do yourself a favor and drop by for some great food and wonderful people.

I went here after seeing rave reviews, and I was craving some tex-mex. This food truck did NOT disappoint. Every ingredient-from the fresh cheeses to the wagyu beef- combined into exactly what I would expect and crave from a tex mex location! The owner of the truck was the person that served us, and he gave plenty of recommendations because it was my first time here. The elote corn was spicy and sweet and perfectly balanced, and the quesadilla had smoked chicken that I could've eaten plain and still fallen in love with! Topped with cheese and spice, and it was the best chicken quesadilla (and the biggest) I've had in months. I don't usually opt for wagyu bacon burgers at a tex mex food truck, but when the owner said he grinds his own meat, I wanted to give it a try and WOW am I glad that I did. He warned that he doesn't add much in the way of spices, and I totally understand why; the meat was so delicious you didn't need to do anything with it! I sat at an outdoor picnic table, but I was offered to sit inside the brewery next door if I wanted to. Overall great service, delicious food, and worth the barely 15 minute wait! Give this place a try if you want fresh, satiating Tex Mex food in big portions!

On our last day of vacation, we decided to give El Pobre a try. What we ordered was the quesadilla, smoked brisket chopped sandwich, and a brisket sandwich with a side of curly fries. To say our experience was magnificent is nothing short of an understatement. Alfredo, who served us, made us feel at home, with his charming humour, and delicious food, our time at El Pobre was more than worth it. I look forward to coming back to Houston just to try Alfredo's cooking once again.

Food 4/5 Service 3/5 Honestly it was the only thing around to choose from. I had to get something for my mom but that was an encounter I could've done without. The guy was snappy af and that doesn't really drive customers to come back even if the food is decent. My mom said it was good. I don't know if he was having a bad day or what? Most likely I won't be back though.
