Absolutely quality tea service, noon is the perfect reservation. Minimal traffic and free parking on site, divine. Interior is elegantly understated and the menu is decadent without being overwhelming. Ashley made sure the occasion was personalized and memorable, will happily return for the extensive drink menu she previewed for us. Entirely too excited!

Wow! So I came across Emma Jane when I was grabbing coffee from Pavon next door. This place is adorable!! They offer high tea, brunch, and so many other options. The inside is so cute, cozy and just the perfect vibe for a girls brunch, a date, or anything really. We came on Father's Day because my husband is all about the fun vibes hehe. I did the tea service for 1 and he ordered himself an item from their brunch menu. The tea service is 60$ per person. It comes with 3 different kinds of sandwiches (chicken, cucumber and I opted for a steak sandwich), chocolate chip scone, jalapeño cheddar biscuits and a few pastries. You also get to pick 3 different teas and they bring it out to you in courses. The options for the teas were endless, and the 3 we got were delicious!! Wow it was all so phenomenal! My husband got the eggs Benedict and said it was probably the best Benedict he has had. The service was great- we don't eat pork so the waiter was amazing and subbed bacon out for me and replaced it with steak. The space is elegant yet cozy--perfect for a relaxed brunch or an intimate high tea (no white gloves here, just warmth and love). Service was friendly and effortless, adding to the inviting vibe. I enjoyed a glass of bubbles with truffle fries to start--crispy, flavorful, and indulgent. The French omelet topped with caviar was a treat, though slightly overcooked. The fresh spring salad alongside it was a lovely, light complement. A sweet spot for a weekend escape that feels special without being too formal.

What's going on with Emma Jane's ? We had a reservation today at noon, showed up and they were closed. Other people with reservations had showed up at the same time. Then later I noticed they cancelled our reservation on Open Table. I'd been before and enjoyed it, so hope they are not closing. Anyway ... we rebounded: did a quick booking at the new Queen Bee teahouse in the Heights and it was absolutely lovely.

What a fun spot, especially for a girly brunch or date! Ambiance inside is beautiful, definitely feels like a spot for a special occasion or just to treat yourself. Service was pretty friendly and very professional. The tea, spritz, and food I had was all delicious and something I would order again. I will absolutely be coming back for their full tea service, the taste I had and ambiance during my recent brunch was enough to convince me to come back and give it a shot.

Emma Jane is a beautiful little space to have a girls' brunch. While we didn't order the tea service, my friends and I ordered cocktails and individual dishes. I had the Quiet Life cocktail and loved how refreshing it was and the vibrant color from the beets. Their Steak and Eggs were pretty good, not the best. It came with a nice crispy potato cake as well. One star down for the service as my friend's drink was almost forgotten and was very delayed. The parking situation can be tough, but valet and limited street parking are available. Would return to try their tea service.

What kills me is that Emma Jane's is channeling an upscale British ambiance. This has so much potential for a perfect brunch setting. However, they may have a little work to do on waitstaff and details. Anytime someone has a vision to revive these older Houston bungalows, I'm grateful for them. I'll lead with the good: the fries and ketchup, short stack, and monte cristo were all excellent. Once problems started to unfold, the manager (?) came over and reassured me that my order would be taken care of and she offered to bring finger sandwiches. The problems: we had a reservation and were seated in an empty restaurant. Our drink orders were taken and we were assured our waiter would be along momentarily. Granted, they are going for British vibes, we waited an uncomfortable amount of time before our drink waiter came back and took care of us. After we ordered, I ran to the restroom and was met by soaplessness. When my bennys arrived, I discovered a hair and that was the end of that. The waitstaff seemed unaffected by anything, really, so they could use a bit more training. The benny's was not removed from the bill and gratuity was already included. Dessert was not offered, so I cannot speak to that. Sadly, even though I love the ambiance, I can't recommend.

My friends and I went to Emma Jane to celebrate Galentine's! We had a party of 9 and it's a small space so we were sat at two separate tables (near each other). We did have an issue with our reservation but they let us know in advance and were accommodating. We ordered 2 pots of tea, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We ordered the empanadas to start and they were very good, I'd recommend them. For brunch, I had the steak (medium) and eggs (scrambled with cheese). My eggs were so good... best eggs I've ever had maybe? But my steak was undercooked. It was rare in the center and there was red all over my plate. Also, highly recommend the fries. They're a huge portion, and the cut is perfect. I definitely want to come back and try the tea service.

A beautiful establishment!! I kept saying WOW at how beautifully decorated the restaurant is!! And the tableware is exquisite!! BEAUTIFUL is the only word to describe it. The food is also pretty good too, especially for afternoon tea service that is often nicer on the eye than tasted. The scones were top notch! Where did it go wrong? The service is incredibly SLOW and was rude when we would ask about the teas. I was so thirsty waiting for the teas!! First she said she couldn't find the teas (which is weird since they didn't have that many to choose from and it is a tea service restaurant!), then she got snappy explaining she was the restroom (for which I was taken aback because I wasn't rude or accusing of her being slow), then she said each pot needs 6min to brew (which is actually a long time for teas). Any inquiry from the table was met with slight scorn and it was a bit uncomfortable to request even basic items (such as milk - which they had a container for on the table but did not fill). I will probably give this location one more try before writing it off as maybe the server was new or having a bad day. The restaurant is so beautiful that I would love to try it again!

My rating would probably be in the 3.5-3.75 range but rounding up to a 4. There were great things about Emma Jane, including the tea selection and ambiance, but they could work on service and timing. Parking: There is valet but it wasn't clear on the cost and there was no person there so I parked on the street. Out reservation was at 930am, so there was still street parking available though it was limited when we left. Service: The staff was all very polite which was lovely. That being said the service itself could use a step up to match the rest of the vibe. Between courses, only half of our small plates and used silverware was removed. We also waited a long time for the server to come back and see if we needed anything else or wanted additional orders. This caused us to be there over 2.5 hours. Timing: The timing was defintiely an issue. Between waiting a while for our server to come around, to the timing of our dishes (1 came out way before the others) it was a bit awkward and left us staying for a longer time than necessary (we had good company but it was quite noticeable) Food: The food was tasty! I had the short stack which was delicious but had to ask for syrup on the side (which I'm glad the person who brought the food out told me I could ask for). We also had the avocado toast which was good but a smaller than expected portion. The eggs Benedict was delicious. We did switch the bacon for smoked salmon for an additional $5 which seemed a bit much when the avo toast came with salmon and was a significantly lower price. The empanada appetizer was probably my favorite! There weren't a lot of appetizer options to share unfortunately, but the empanadas were recommend to split (though it only came with 2 and there were 4 of us which wasn't clear ahead of time) Other things to note: you need to reserve the tea service menu 24 hours in advance. That wasn't made clear when I made our reservation and was one of the main reasons we came. We still had a good time though and you can still ororder from the tea menu - you just won't get all the tea service menu foods. Overall it was a good gals brunch but there was defintiely room for improvement. We are planning to come back to get a chance to do the tea service menu
