A small but mighty museum, full of inspiration and history of social injustice. The founders of the museum visited five Gandhi museums in India and shaped this one to promote nonviolent conflict resolution. The museum walks through Gandhi's life and shows how his views were shaped by his experiences. There are examples of how to use logic and quiet resistance, which can still be used in today's time. The museum also highlights the visions of Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela. The last room has some nice interactive computer stations that teach kids how to inspire change in their own lives. The museum store is well curated with a nice selection. There is an auditorium and a library also located inside of the museum. The location is a bit outside of the museum district, but definitely worth the short drive.

This is such a great museum. A super learning experience. The staff is so attentive and helpful. I've been there with a large group with a tour guide. Next I went with my brother and used the app for a self guided tour. He was so excited that he's going to read Gandhi's book again. Both were great. Would highly recommend.

This is the best museum in Houston. The location is a bit far from Downtown Houston. But it is worth while visiting. The admission was only $15. The inside was super clean. I visited on Thursday February 22nd. The museum was empty. One of the staff guided me. The exhibition was informative. I learned Gandhi's life and Indian Indepndence movements. I watched a short film. Then I enjoyed an exhibition of his legacy. I love Gandhi!

The Eternal Gandhi Museum is located in an easily accessible corridor of a major freeway in Houston with plenty of free parking, already a win. I arrived to an excited tour guide who walked several of us through the museum and shared insights about Gandhi I had never known. The visit takes about 1.5 hours and I learned more about Gandhi's childhood and adulthood, non-violence, all of the influences he had in his life, and the people he influenced. I came away asking myself about my own role in promoting non-violence and if I could do more. (I can. We can.) A must see for anyone curious about the world or the great people who helped change it.

My 18 year old grandson who lives in California was visiting us in Houston. One of the places we took him to was this museum, and it was a highlight of his trip. One doesn't have to be Gandhi's religion or nationality to appreciate all he did for the world. It was an amazing, quiet place, and the 2 people who worked there, Neel Wani and Jeanette Rodriguez made our visit even more special. They embodied all the virtues Gandhi stood for. They were there to explain, demonstrate parts of the exhibit, ran the movie when it was most convenient to us and even took pictures of our group of 6 so we had pisc of all of us to share with others. The museum was fabulous, but those two made it even more so. I'm so glad we went.
