Black mold in the windowsill, rust on the refrigerator, microwave, and hood. There were no seal around the linoleum connecting to the bathtub and the linoleum was curled up exposing a lot of crude underneath. There was also spit/hark in the face bowl and curtain covering closet looked as someone threw up on it...awful. After reporting the mold, two days later, nothing had been corrected. The room upon entrance, smelled like mold and mildew. When I finally found the mold I took photos. I was finally moved after showing the photos. Now that I wrote a review on their page, the manger said the engineer said it was rust. This was black mold, not brown rust. I know the difference.

If I could give less than one star, I would. It is NEVER OK for a woman traveling alone to be made to feel unsafe in her hotel room, and that is EXACTLY what I felt. The female manager was kind to me at checkout and did refund one night for my experience, however, I'm still shaken up; I wanted to make other women traveling alone aware of what I encountered. I was speaking at a conference at the hotel next door to Extended Stay America, and decided to save some money rather than using the host. I had reserved through Booking.com, and when I arrived, I was told that they would upgrade me because there were no more queen suites available. This was kind, and looking back, maybe this was where the mistake occurred (?). I had paid to stay Wednesday-Saturday. My first impression of the room was that the kitchen was the amenity more than the bed; blanket was thin, no comforter. Reminded me of when you are staying at a relative's pullout couch and you get the last blanket in the house, if you're following. Here's where the infraction truly occurred, though: on Friday night, we had a 4-hour break between our final session at the conference and the party. Many of us returned to our own rooms for rest (seemed I was the only one staying at this hotel from the event) before we would reconvene for the closing party. It was about 5:30pm and I laid down to take a nap. I had my sound machine on because there were people walking up and down the hallways, and about 10 minutes later, I woke up to the sound of someone opening my door. I had the chain on the door, which was what stopped this person from coming in and it made a loud sound as the door hit the full extension of the chain. I hoped that maybe it had been next door; I couldn't really tell because of the sound machine. About two hours later confirmed what I had heard. This time, I was in my pajamas getting ready (very relieved that I was not more undressed!) and I heard my door open and stop at the chain. I poked my head around the corner and could see the outline of a man in the door. Yes, I was TERRIFIED. I asked assertively, "Why are you trying to get into my room?!" As I got closer, I could see that he had the crest of the hotel on his shirt. He asked, "Do you have a reservation here?" I stated, "Yes, through tomorrow." He asked for my last name, I gave it, he left. I was shaken; this man had not called to confirm my reservation, he had not knocked to announce he was there, he just attempted to barge in. I called my husband and told him where I was staying and called another friend and asked if she could walk me home after the party. On my way out that night, I passed the same man in the lobby, who was now behind the front desk, and I made eye contact with him to ensure it was the same one who had tried to enter my room. I returned that night around 1:30am with my friend and her husband, who had agreed to walk me back. It was now after hours, so there was no one at the front desk. When I got up to my room, I tried my key in the door several times, but it didn't work. We went back to the lobby, and my friend called the after hours number and explained the situation. Shaunya was working at that time and was empathic to what had occurred, assuring "Of course I will let you into your room." I learned that the employee that had barged in was named Brian and that the computer showed that I had paid for my stay through Saturday, but when Jahquill had checked me in, the system reflected that I was only there until Friday (I'm still confused by the details of this part). When my friends walked me up to my room with my new key, they lights were off (I had left them on because I had been scared, and didn't want to return to a dark room). I later realized that my A/C had also been turned off, alerting me to the fact that this Brian character had been in my room with my belongings. I felt incredibly unsafe that night and slept with a chair in front of the door in addition to the chain latch. Every time I would hear anyone in the hall, I woke up, afraid that someone was trying to get into my room. Needless to say, I did not sleep well between the trauma and the threadbare blanket. When I came down the next morning to check out, I saw Jahquill, who had checked me in. He was kind and apologetic, and his manager also worked to rectify the situation immediately. I will not be staying in another Extended Stay America in the future, and I hope that any women traveling alone will read this review as a cautionary tale.

So I booked this hotel through hotels.com at around 3am. The app made it seem like I could check in right away. But when I got there I was advised because it's the day of, I'd have to wait til 3pm to check in. I just wanted a place to sleep in town because I was tired and in no condition to drive 49 min away to try family's home. When I explained my situation, the wonderful attendant, Leslie, took care of me. I canceled through the app and paid them directly. Not only did she let me check in she gave me a large room and I didn't have to leave til the next day. That kind of service is so rare. Thank you fir taking care of me. This place is reasonable and close to the Galleria. Don't be fooled there are two. Stay at this one.

I was booked this hotel by the owner of the house I was renting. The house was not ready for move in so they booked the hotel room during COVID-19. When I arrived at the front desk I asked the staff woman what procedures were in place regarding COVID-19. She looked at me like I had two heads then said " I don't know what they do during the day". I just stared at her and after a pause she said " they clean the rooms". I hesitantly took the room key and proceeded to my room. When I arrived in the room. I started pulling out the chairs so I could spray them with Lysol ( because I had two young kids who would inevitably touch or sit on the chairs). When I pulled out the chairs, there were crumbs in the seats! So, if they really cleaned the rooms and wiped down the furniture- why are crumbs in the seats. I immediately called Priceline to attempt to get the reservation canceled as I could not sleep in the room knowing that it had not been cleaned, nor did I want to sleep in any other room since all confidence in this hotel was lost. I was told by Priceline not to check out formally because if I did it would remove their ability to seek a resolution so I left the hotel and did not sleep one night in the room. After spending over a week contacting Priceline and trying to make contact with the location manager to no avail, I finally heard back from Priceline that the finally made contact with the location manager who refused to provide a refund. I had previously spoken to someone from the hotel who said she would request a refund from the manager but once the manager refused, that employee would not respond to my email. I had requested in the last email that the manager call me, which never happened. At a time when COVID-19 is on the rise and this hotel is purporting to take customer safety seriously, that is not the case. And there lack of integrity shows in their refusal to provide a refund due to lack of public safety and fulfillment of their promise to provide clean rooms ( as stated on the website).

AC didn't work like it was supposed to constantly turning off and on off and on. Told the manager he said he would have someone look at it never did. The bedding was awful, I was left with a thin sheet and what I am thinking was a duvet cover. Not sure went and purchased a blanket. Not because I was cold since the AC only worked half way. My room was not the cleanest either, bath tub had obvious wear and tear and the finishing was chipped. I found CHIPS from who knows how long in the cabinet. I was given half a roll of john Wayne toilet paper. My advice is to stay next door at Sheraton. Or any other place. This place is a dump.

This hotel is not clean, charged extra for early check in. I asked for handicap room, did not receive it. I did not see the little white sign that tells you to ask for Silverware, cups, plates, and ice. Tray was empty. No ice machine on first floor! I am Handicapped didn't want to walk with walker and ice bucket. ( not one in room) Just empty blue tray in freezer!! Paid for early ck in, they say there is breakfast??? There was oatmeal packages and coffee. No fruit, no cereal yogurt,or juice for my 8 y/o child! Extended stay, are u kidding me? NO THANKS!!!!

First, advertised continental breakfast, but was told it was grab-n-go pre-packaged foods. Okay, not a continental but it will do. Now, I paid extra for the breakfast and no breakfast was served or received. We were told it was first come first serve yet breakfast was until 9:30. Therefore nothing was provided. Then morning staff (two women) were very rude and disrespectful. Rooms were also very old and rundown, had musty smells and things were painted over to hide the walls falling apart. Also, we could not get fresh towels or bathroom items unless we paid extra. Nor could we get trash or hotel room cleaned unless we paid extra. Wait, what?! Lastly, the pricing for two nights and lack of quality is outrageous and disappointing. My family and I stayed two nights. I have had way better stays with the quality of facilities and amenities at a La Quinta Inn in El Paso, Tx. and several Motel 6's across Texas than this visit here. I paid $300 for 7 nights at La Quinta Inn and although paid for, I was provided a continental breakfast with waffle machine with maple syrup, bagels, fresh muffins, toast, oatmeal, coffee with several options for flavored syrups, tea, milk, apple juice, orange juice, 3 options for dry cereal, boiled eggs, cream cheese, jellies, and peanut butter. This is a decent continental breakfast. Don't advertise unless you will provide. The only good thing was Mr. Charles who checked me in and helped provide blankets and plates and silverware. He was the only friendly and helpful person there. I will not use this location or Extended Stay America ever again.
