Great food and delicious burger the place has good atmosphere neighbourhood bar. Its very hard to find parking i recommend taking uber .

Just one drink available for cocktail week, and it was the Mexican Martini! Very different from what I'm used to, but I did enjoy it! It's a perfect balance between savory & spicy. There was good music playing, & the staff was very friendly & attentive.

A fun and cozy spot for hangout with friends or date night! I had never heard of this bar before coming here. There are booths next to the window and a pool table in the corner on the other side. They have a booth to order tacos from too. If you go out the door behind the bar, you can access the outdoor patio, which has a few tables and a large area with comfy looking red couches. Going up the stairs by the front entrance, you gain access to a second bar, a big circular area with seating around it, a few more tables, and an outdoor balcony. Now that I think about it, this place has it all. I tried one of their daiquiris which was poured with a heavy hand. Bartenders and staff were friendly. Parking is the only challenge here. There is street parking all along the street, but you may have to go further down on a busy night.

The vibe was nice but the service was terrible. The photo-booth went out of service after charging us and said "Ask for attendant." When we asked an older male bartender for help, he completely disregarded us and acted annoyed that we even asked, saying he won't do anything about it. I really wanted to like this spot but I can't see myself coming back. Betelgeuse Betelgeuse down the street is a MUCH better option for drinks and service.

Visited Grand Prize with a group of friends on Saturday night to see the Nerds lecture upstairs. Very cool vibe with great bar and draft selection downstairs.

Just updating my review to write what I though of the Umbrella Fella's fare, which I just tried for the first time, as an addendum to my previous review. I had the Monterrey Hotdog with a side of fries. Personally, I thought the Monterrey could have had some more punchy flavors, but I really liked that it came out fresh and hot.

My partner and I have been to this bar multiple times and used to love coming here. The cocktails, food, and vibes were great. In the past the crowd had been diverse/eclectic. We stopped by last night and it was VERY apparent that kids with fake IDs had found this bar. There was at least 60 kids in there that looked about 19 years old, and as we were leaving there was a very young kid slumped over on the steps outside the bar alone. Clearly over served. When we tried to help him get an uber, he in fact had 2 IDs in his wallet. He kept falling over and then proceeded to throw up on himself. This bar used to be so good but last night I was extremely disappointed in the bar staff.

I love this bar! The vibes are great and the bartenders are cool and attentive. This is the perfect spot for a chill night out to get drinks, and I love how it's a local hidden spot!

Great ambiance, with an upstairs that also leads to an open-air patio overlooking Bell Park. Bottom floor is definitely on the darker side in terms of lighting with ample bar seats available. As for food they work with a variety of Food Trucks who contract with this bar, but there will only be 1 truck on a given night. Drink prices are what you'd expect from this area, I'm not sure if there are drink specials. Another thing of note is they are about a block or two away from another chill Bar/Restaurant 'Betelgeuse, Betelgeuse' which runs along Montrose if you want a late & to keep the party going.

Came here after Christmas because we all need a break from the holiday. Met up with some old friends and did happy hour. I had not one but TWO of the outdoor couch, which was dangerously good. Got a little hungry so we ordered food from umbrella fellas. I had the hotdog with the Houston toppings. The cheese fries weren't bad but need more cheese. Service was alright, the bar was packed so it took a while to get drinks ordered. Parking was a bit difficult, read the signs and make sure you don't block any residence or business driveway/parking lots. If you come here on a Wednesday night, there's a little show upstairs at 9pm.
