Janie is the absolute best. I informed her that it was my first time visiting the restaurant and she was extremely helpful.she explained the portion options and their rewards program. I was here July 4th and have been back 2 more times ever since. The food is very good and fresh. They have a very nice menu. I would definitely come back again. There is plenty of parking and seating indoors and outdoors.

I stopped by today and tried for the first time, the food was good, but cold and not fresh. I ate the food there at the store so I would've hoped it would've been nice and hot. I couldn't put it in the microwave because there was hummus on top and who wants hot hummus.

The food was solid--nothing extraordinary, but the friendly staff and generous portions made it enjoyable. I ordered a regular rice bowl with turmeric rice, and I appreciated the option to add lettuce on top. The bowl was overflowing, providing enough for three meals for me and at least two for a typical eater. I opted for the gyro meat, which my friends recommended over the spicy chicken as they ordered half and half. The fries were just as expected--nothing out of the ordinary, but topped with paprika and freshly fried. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area, but I probably wouldn't make a special trip for it.

I first tried Gyro Republic last month at its grand opening in Missouri City. Despite being a chain restaurant, they are 2 for 2 on food quality. They offer the most options out of any gyro place I know and even better, a lot of them are free! For $12, I ordered a regular bowl with ~8 toppings such as chickpeas, corn, and pickles, none of which added extra charges. To all my fellow spice fanatics, I would be careful with overdoing the spice level. I chose every spicy option -- spicy rice, spicy chicken, red hot sauce, you name it -- all of which were easy to tolerate except the red hot sauce. I asked for 3 lines of red hot sauce and ended up sweating the entire time. Choose carefully! Great value, great food, and great employees too. I took an extra minute or two deciding what I wanted and the workers were very patient.

I am so picky with gyros and this place did not let me down. I am so glad I found Gyro Republic on DoorDash. You get a LOT of food for the amount you are paying. And I just absolutely love the option to swap out rice for lettuce. I wasn't expecting the hot sauce to be THAT hot, but it was still delicious. Can't wait to eat here in person!

I was introduced to Gyro Republic at a Yelp event, and it's become a place that I like to swing by and grab food whenever I want something a bit different, but without any table service or ridiculous price points. For those who haven't been, you build a bowl or wrap like you would at Chipotle, but instead of a Tex-Mex theme, you're building a Mediterranean dish. Much like Chipotle, I swear you get more if you order it as a bowl, so that's become my go-to option. I love the gyro meat, but my wife prefers the chicken depending on the mood she's in. After you select your base (rice/greens), protein (gyro, chicken, falafel), you move on to various toppings and sauces to really customize your dish. The majority of the toppings are free, though certain items, or double-items, come with an additional charge. Prices are reasonable, and I recommend going with the large size bowl; if you portion it correctly, you basically get two meals.

This was our first visit to a Gyro Republic. The food was very good and the service provided by Sasha was informative and friendly. My wife enjoyed the small salad bowl with tons of veggies of her choosing and some classic hummus. I enjoyed a gyrito with spicy chicken (it was!) and spicy rice (it was!) and a plethora of veggiess i picked....it was almost too hot for me....nothing a second trip to the soda fountain couldn't fix. I overachieved by snarfing some baklava.

Solid late night option for that area. Food is fresh but I wouldn't consider it seasoned well. It'll do in a bind but it's not true Mediterranean by my tastebud standards.

After being at the Halal Fest Saturday and missing my chance of getting a bowl there, I decided to stop in for one at the Fondren location and support. Big shout out to Ted for taking great care of me!!! Can't wait to be back soon whenever I'm by Sharpstown/HCU. We need one in the Heights if possible.
