Let me start my saying that Hilton properties are my normal go-to when I travel for work or pleasure. On this particular trip I was traveling for work and having never been to Houston before, I can't say I have any interest in going back. This hotel was convenient to my meeting location but not much else. The area surrounding the hotel is sketchy and not someplace you would feel comfortable waking around. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated so it was relatively clean. The common area was pleasant and well maintained. The rooms were well appointed but the beds were hard as hell. I would have slept on the floor but judging by the color of my socks after walking on it, I feared what I might find if I got any closer to the floor. I've stayed at worse hotels, but I've also stayed at better. Can't say I would choose this property again.

Don't plan on doing an event at this hotel and expect them to be hospitable. it has been anything but that. Their maintenance guy Melvin is great, but the heads of banquets and meetings are argumentative and stringent to a fault. You have been warned!!

We were guests May10 through 12. The second day we left the room at 11am and removed the do-not-disturb. The room had not been touched when we returned. We called to request housekeeping but were told the housekeepers had left. They did knock on rhe door to hand us some towels.. I felt somewhat itchy driving into Houston but I thought it was some springtime mosquito activity. By the third day I could feel bumps and welts when I scratched When I got undressed at home in Florida my wife was horrified by the dozens of rows and patches of bedbug bites on my back, arms, neck and chest. Neither Orbitz nor Hilton Honors seems interested. If you are ever forced to stay there avoid Rm 207. I am attempting to post a picture of my arm only. My back and neck are not suitable for viewing.

First stay. This Hotel is about 1 & 1/2 yrs old. It has the current Decor of the grays and modern updates. Even their elevator is very Euro Modern. Checking in the young lady at the Desk was friendly, informative and provided all the goodies that come with the Hilton Honors, etc. I "was" booked at the end of the hallway on the top floor. Yes, king size. ***THE KEY WORD HERE IS END OF HALLWAY*** Trust me on this One It NEVER WORKS. The END of The Hallway Rooms. Are Most Of the Time THE WORST. Why?? Yellow Stained Sheets(Yes, I took Pics) long Hair from Housekeeping(?) Even Pet Hair. Surrre Enough:-!! Had to Change Rooms. FYI: I Reduce The Lighting & Turn On The FLASHLIGHT on My Phone And It's YUCK-IDLY Amazing. What You Would Rather Not See. I am Not into Taking Any UNWANTED SOUVENIRS WITH ME. ***NO Definitely "Not A Prissy Prude". Don't know who's "Party" It was Don't Want it*** New Room, Closer to the Elevator. No Problems. Big Difference. The Staff is friendly, very good people skills. Checked in rather late last night. Breakfast they offer is very, very simple. Took a small to go bowl of plain Oatmeal and a smaller portion of fruit. Rosario was attending the Breakfast Area. Lovely lady, friendly eager to assist. Nice to speak to such a pleasant lady very early in the morning. Fresh to go Java. Not WOW ME:-/ Just ok. More like the Economy Quality. But, not Muddy Melt paint Of A Battle Ship, either. That I would pass. No longer do the Grave Yard shift(While I Practiced Nursing LOL). So far so Good, New Marriott is Currently Being Constructed Now. In the Same drive almost across from this one. (Source disclosed to me. That is Owned by The same people(Franchisee???). All in all will fly back home in 3 more days. I do thank them for their hospitality. The downstairs Staff puts great effort to accommodate your needs. Safe & Happy Journeys:-)

I want to start off by saying the worker Michael was great super friendly and made check in and checked out a breeze. Now we were only in the room for like 2 hours and I fell asleep on top of the covers finally I decided to get under the covers. What is this strange bug I am greeted by when pulling back the covers..... Yep you guessed it a bed bug and multiple stains on the cover. We packed up so quickly headed down stairs told Michael what happened and showed him the pictures and checked out. Besides that the location was nice close to a lot of eating places and shopping within driving range. The room was nice also.

I did not actually make it to the hotel due to severe weather (hurricane Dorian). I was notified at the gate on Friday night, 30 minutes before my departure, that my flight was canceled and the next available flight was not until Sunday at 9 am. My return was to be Monday, so there was no point in going to Houston anymore. I canceled the whole trip. When I attempted to get a refund from the hotel, I was told that I needed a 48 hours noticed to receive a full refund. I tried to explain that I was forced to cancel my trip due the weather, but I was told repeatedly that their policy was 48 hours. I asked to speak to a manager, was told there was no one there working at night. Asked for the number to corporate, they didn't have it. I understand there's policies, but there should also be a policy for severe weather, hurricanes, and unforeseen situations. They follow the strict policy of canceling within 48 hours and God forbid you're forced to cancel your trip or else you're stuck paying for a hotel in a city you weren't even able to travel to. Will never again book with Hampton Inn. Maybe I got lucky not staying here, seeing all the reviews on Yelp about the bed bugs!

I am a diamond HH member and have spent two weeks in this hotel. I have never seen another Hampton Inn where the manager has a reserved parking space closer than diamond parking. Give me a break you are not that special. I asked for a bottle of water after staying in the hotel for 2 weeks and they wanted to charge me for it and the clerk was offended when I told him it was bullshit. Fuck this hotel.

Bugs bugs bugs, staff discounted my concern. NEVER any hot coffee in lobby at night. Stayed 3 room , two floors over 3 weeks! Nothing but bugs and hotel staff acting as though I offended them. 2 dr visits later, and burning pain in all welp areas, nothing but the front day manager deciding she was an insect expert. And why does the general manager have the first parking spots and then Diamond members, and employee of the month?? Really, no care for clients health, safety, well being or courtesy for parking. To lazy to keep warm or hot coffee over night. Nope , skip this one ...convenient location is not all its cracked up to be!!! LE redirected me to other hotels as they laughed when I told them the series of events, they said never stay there. Yes I have photos and Dr visits

I travel to Houston often to visit my family. Every time I'm in town Hampton Inn I-10 East is my Hotel of choice. The rooms are clean and it's close to family. We have visited this hotel multiple times a year, the manager even recognizes us when we check in. That a nice feeling. However there is a staff member that is absolutely the WORST. Myra attitude is absolutely hands down the WORST employee they have. No welcoming attitude, doesn't smile when she greet you, speak very fast when explaining the amenities. She is hands down RUDE. I really like this place but her attitude to really pushing us away. During our last stay 12/19 I came in to book a room and you guess it Myra was at the front desk. I tried having a conversation with her and even complemented on how beautiful the Christmas tree was. She NOT one time said THANK YOU or welcome to Hampton Inn or Thank me for the compliment. All she said was "can I help you ". Long story short, I booked my stay and left. My fiancé came in shortly after I left out to use the facilities. He asked Myra where the restrooms are and she completely ignored him. I mean she didn't point, didn't say, didn't direct him at all. He had to locate it himself. One thing for sure. You can have the nicest hotel in the area and the majority of your staff can be friendly and kind. But when you have ONE bad Apple it can spoil your entire team. Lastly for the record when we returned that night from visiting our mother. Myra was sitting in the front talking to someone. I really hated seeing her at the front desk because I was happy from visiting family and I didn't was her BAD attitude to spoil my spirit.

I've been going to Hampton Inn for many years now, and I enjoy the rewards program, the nice breakfast, and the amenities they have. But this one in particular had horrible service at the front desk. I walked in with two other people in front of me and we all waited 15 minutes for a person to come to the front desk and the man at the desk (michael) was rude to me and the two other people in front of me. When you can tell someone wasn't happy to be there to help guests, then dont work there or change your attitude. After I checked in, I was looking to see if there was some sort of water fountain to fill my bottle, I roamed into the seating area and Michael decides to raise both his hands up and ask me what I was doing, after I told him, he raised his voice and said to me the dining area was closed; well obviously Michael, the lights were off, I already explained that I was looking for some water. I don't need that kind of disrespect in a hotel I paid good money for. I was just grateful that he wasn't there for the next two days I was staying.
