Definitely needs a lot of updating but the positive was the shower was good pressure. The AC unit in my room was so loud I had to turn it off at night. It woke me up once when it turned on. The breakfast was fine. The location is good because of the proximity to the mall which has a lot of good shops. The bed wasn't bad. The room was clean. Overall just needs some refinements.

Not good some bad. Nice sized room, but you can tell the hotel is dated, the pool was out of service and the gym was too small to benefit me. The breakfast was Almost non-existent and a waste to wake up for BUT The staff came off friendly and the location to the mall is fantastic. But for the price of the room the location is not enough to have more than 2 stars. (A hotel room is the bare minimum, the location is why I picked the location but if that's all I get it still feels like a loss)

If you like being chased by rabid pit bulls, being told there are no quarters or laundry detergent, no waffles because the machine has been broken, and no pool despite it being advertised... then this is the place for you!! The best part is overhearing an elderly man tell the hotel desk about his experience with the same dog that terrorized our 9 year old only to be told by front desk that they have a "pet friendly" policy. Front desk is hit and miss. Some are friendly, while others adopt the complete lack of emotion or empathy face until you walk away frustrated. But one or two friendly desk people can't erase the frustration of this experience. (Mary the breakfast agent is WONDERFUL... not her fault the waffle maker can't get fixed) We stay only at the Hilton, this is a huge disappointment. UPDATE: Went next door for quarters and was told the lady at the front desk could have gone upstairs and gotten quarters from the laundry machines if she is out at the front desk. The front desk agent was not busy at all. I went and told her what the Hampton lady said and she told me she DOES have quarters, but didn't have change to give me.... If she had just said that I could have offered a smaller bill (I gave her a $20 to pay for detergent they don't have plus quarters, but since there was no detergent, I could have given a smaller bill, or charged it to my room..) She just clearly didn't want to be bothered.

The location of this Homewood Suites is great! There's a mall right across the way and tons of shops and restaurants that are in walking distance. I felt safe walking in the area and it's convenient. There are plenty of spots for parking at the hotel and it's free. The rooms are older, but comfy and spacious. The suites have a well stocked kitchen with a full size refrigerator. The complimentary breakfast from 6a-9a during the week is great! I'm very happy with the healthy options available including fresh fruits (plenty of bananas unlike another Homewood I've stayed at), oat meal and toppings. There was 1 room I stayed in where the water didn't drain well, not because of a clog, but because of the angle of the tub, which caused standing water during a shower (ew). That was really the only downside to staying here. Some rooms have windows that face a brick wall, but that doesn't bother me. I really enjoyed our stay here. The beds were comfy, the pillows were good, the free hotel breakfast went above and beyond, I did not have to touch the thermostat and still stayed comfortable. The kitchen setup was nice, but I did not use it. If you are a shopper, Willowbrook Mall is right nearby. Very convenient to restaurants as well.

The receptionist is kind. The room is unbelievable. Kitchen is amazing! The floors and carpet spectacular.

The folks running the front desk have no experience in the hotel industry. I think they were the high school kids of the franchise owner because they lacked maturity when dealing with guests. I made my reservation the night before and got my confirmation. Even got to pick my room on the app and did the digital key request. It's interesting because they have a couple smoking rooms on the 1st and 3rd floor and no one wants to be near that so I found one on the 2nd floor that would work. Now everything is practically booked now because Houston isn't set up to deal with snow. We had no power at the house or running water like the million other Houstonians. I was excited to have a warm meal and take a shower because sleeping in the car with 2 kids isn't fun. Got there at 3pm and was told my room wasn't ready. That's okay. There was a lot of people on the lobby and people watching is fun. We choose a spot, plugged in our tablets and phones and waited. It was a little chilly too so we kept our jackets on. The alarm system kept going off and I was like maybe this isn't a good idea. But I kept telling myself there's water (so I thought) and electricity and heat. I don't care about the alarm. Turns out some other guests rooms were flooded due to pipes busting. Noticed some of the guests and employees weren't wearing masks either and they weren't eating but you know what. Choosing my battles. Doubled up mine and the kids because we are in a pandemic and not sure why Hilton isn't enforcing mask requirement. I was like wow, they are dealing with a ton. Let me be patient and kind about this and my room because at least I have a room right? Nah One of my kids needed to go to the bathroom but the lobby bathrooms were out of order. I figured because of the busted pipes. I asked the front desk where he could go and she said "They work. We have the signs up so people won't use them. He can go in." So they have signs up saying out of order but they aren't out of order because they don't want people using them. Okay. Almost 2 hours past and still no room. I was trying real hard to be patient. The people that came in a little after us went to the front desk and then she started yelling at them and left. That didn't feel right. Then some other people were asking about their room and they were just like sorry there isn't one. Red flags. Maybe they just forgot about me? I mean there's 4 of them. Surely one of them will notice a family in their lobby with suitcases just sitting. I even talked to them a few time. I went up to ask and was told I don't have a room anymore. They gave it to someone else who was in the room where the pipes burst. WHAT Okay so I was a little annoyed. They knew about it when I walked in because the pipes bursted way before I got there. That's why people were hanging in the lobby. What gets me livid is during those 2 hours I could have tried to find another hotel before the roads start icing because the temp was dropping again. 2 were talking over me anytime I'd ask a question. and one started raising her voice. It took all the power in the world not to blow up because the one raising her voice at me for their mistakes started talking real condescending to me as if it was my fault I didn't find out. I asked if my card would be charged and it has been too so I have to deal with that. Would suggest to hire folks with front desk experience and not have kids work it unless they are properly trained.

These suites are pretty decent being this close to Willowbrook Mall. The prices are moderate and the security has a definite presence. Call and talk with Sandy. She was very informative and helped me with all my questions I had about availability and pricing.

Had a good stay here. Was in town for two days work a work event at the Willowbrook Mall. The hotel is literally position within malls parking lot so I was able to walk to and from the hotel and mall within 5 minutes. Since I wasn't familiar with the area, this was very convenient and don't have to worry about calling a taxi etc. The suite/room was large and included a one bedroom with connected bath and common/living room with connected kitchen which included a stove, dishwasher, and full size refrigerator. The room was comfortable but there there were signs of aging like dents here and there. There is an executive office which was useful as I needed to print a couple documents- access with key card. The gym was small and could use more space - it had a strong smell - so when I walked in I was punched with it in my face. I could not figure out where the source of the small could be and can't really describe it, but it wasn't a pleasant one. Breakfast is served from 6-9 with a good choice of scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with cheese and spinach, Canadian bacon (essentially slices of thick ham), veggie patty, potato hash, cereal, make your own waffle, fruits and beverages. Dinner is also served for free from Monday through Thursday from 530-730p. Unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of this. Good thing there are several restaurants near by within 3 minutes walk. The staff was super friendly. I had a couple boxes shipped and all made it safe and sound.
