I absolutely loved this tour experience! I did the downtown tour for my birthday and I'm so happy I did. It was so much fun, we had a wide selection of foods, and the guide, Christine, was great. She was sweet, down to earth, and knowledgeable. It's definitely a good amount of food. I was so stuffed by the end I couldn't finish certain dishes. I really liked 6 out of 8 of the dishes which I think is a good proportion considering everything was a surprise. We went to 4 different restaurants. I think everyone's least favorite was the last dessert, but it was okay because we had so much yummy food before then. I highly recommend the tour! The walking was nice since we were eating so much. You also get a little history tour as you walk. It wasn't too much walking so I think it's suitable for older adults and kids (I heard some of the other locations are more walking so be sure to ask if you're concerned). It's a little pricier than some similar tours I found ($70/pp), but they were much more responsive and easier to plan with compared to other places.

Wow!!! The owner reached out to us within hours! How many people do that and care enough to check on us even days after things have resolved??? She refunded our monies paid and made sure my sis in law was ok. Her dedication to her business and genuine concern for her patrons speaks volumes and I would recommend and return. We had a lot of fun! Highly recommend. We met new people & learned a lot about Houston history. I loved the food menu at each place and the portions were great. Drinks are not included, but depending on the day of the week you go, some places had happy hour pricing from 4-7 (the same time as the tour)

Our guide Heidi was terrific. She had our whole group feeling comfortable and well looked after. We all had a memorable evening. And the food (and cocktails if you get them for yourself) were very very good.

The Heights food tour was a great experience for me, a Houston native, and my girlfriend who is rather new to Houston. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable, had a great personality, but also wasn't annoying, which I appreciated. All of the restaurants served great food with generous servings. It was a great way to meet new people and try some of the diverse cuisine from the Houston area. I highly recommend taking this tour- I'm definitely going to do the Downtown tour.

This was a very well Run Tour. We loved every restaurant. We had a great time getting to know the tour guide and the other people on the tour.

A good experience but not amazing. The Heights tour took us through: - Revival Market for a sampling of meats - Melange Creperie for a crepe - Tacos-a-Go-Go for a taco and guacamole - Coltivare for cauliflower and pasta - Gelazzi for gelato The good: - Great concept - a good mix of light walking, indoor/outdoor, and sitting/eating - Lovely weather (in late November) - All places had good ambiance - Friendly tour guide The bad (or less than impressed): - Quantity of food. It was enough to fill me up, but because many of the stops were family style (the guacamole, the meats, the cauliflower and pasta), you always had to watch what and how much you were eating. If you were sitting at the end of the table, you would usually get less (those in the middle could reach to the platter on the left or the right). Some people took more than their fair share. - Quality of food. The food was good, but nothing mind-blowing. The only place I think I'll be back to is the gelato place. Honestly, I think some of that had as much to do with the food selection as the place. They picked the veggie crepes at the creperie -- turnips in my crepe instead of some meat? And I actually order veggie crepe a lot at Coco's Crepes, but this didn't do it for me at all. And I'd been to both Revival Market and Coltivare before too, and left with a more favorable impression than this time. - The lack of unique "tour" points. I did learn a few things from the tour, but I spent much, much more time talking to the person I came to the tour with. There was a lot of "down" time with no tour explanations at all. I don't feel like the tour guide added much value over just doing a short circuit of those places on my own. If someone offered me the tour for free? Sure, I'd try to find some time to go. But $150 (tickets plus tour guide tip) for two? I wouldn't shell out for this.

Loved it! The food tour in the Heights was so fun. We went to Revival Market, Pho Binh, Happy Fatz, Coltivare and Gelazzi. You eat A LOT so try to come hungry. I would recommend to any foodie. Great gift for friends and family. It was cool to learn about the history of the area, as well.

A very enjoyable time! With Heidi as our excellent guide we hit up very good eateries ranging from Mexican seafood to lamb tacos (the best) while learning about Houston's history. One of the restaurants offered free beer - for the other places drinks were extra. Given the general sprawling nature of Houston I was a bit concerned we would be walking for miles but fortunately all the restaurants were fairly close to one another, clustered around Market Square Park in the Historic District. Go with a group!
