I will start with what I have loved about HGA. Coach Tessa has been great with my daughters' class. She is involved and a great cheerleader for the kids. She is invested in the girls and their routine. The reason I gave it a 3 star: 4-5 star for coach Tessa 1-2 star for HGA and this is a cattle call for revenue when they have classes and there are so many kids it feels like daycare. Plus they have competitions but there is no format for the kids to practice. If your child needs extra assistance in one skill, there is no format to do a private to master the skill. They run this like a business and are not invested in developing and growing the children.

I'm not sure if these people are having a pool party or taking care our children in a diligent way after we spent hundreds of dollars to put them in camp. That's overwhelming scene to watch inside the gym. Disservice to our children. Neh... dealing with Misty at the front is pain. Very disqualified facility. All should go.

First rate birthday party; exactly what you want to get in, get kids tired, sing happy birthday, and get home. Everyone had a great time, room was clean and helpers were very attentive. My daughter takes weekly classes here as well, and the quality of the instruction is much better than her previous gymnastics location.

Great class engagement and administrative support when I called to discuss my daughter's special needs during class. Val, the director and coach Sergio were extremely understanding and supportive during my call and during follow up. My daughter loves her gymnastic classes and is interested in the ninja offerings at the location. Invest time communicating with the staff about any of your concerns s and they will respond in kind. The instructors and staff have been great and offer everything we expect from such a program.

Enrolled my daughter. When taken to class. My exited 4 yo was asked to be removed from class. She was sad and cried out. The funny part is that I paid for the class which I had enrolled her. I called back. They explained it was an error in their part. When it was my turn to talk the girl on the other side of the phone started to talk over me. I told her it was rude to talk over people. I told her at least an apology. I wasn't offered a solution or money back. I didn't want to talk to her anymore because it was impossible to talk on top of other person. There is no kindness, or any customer policy on place. It was rude. I think the people need more training in how to keep a conversation. Allison was rude, talked constantly over me and an understanding could not be reached. My d daughter was crying. I asked to be called my manager. I hope I can have a conversation. They owe us the class. The receipt from my transaction when I enrolled my kid said she was supposed to be in the class my daughter was taken out from.

Houston Gymnastics Academy made people pay in advance for multiple adult gymnastics classes, then ended the program without notice and refuses to issue refunds for prepaid classes. Absolute scam/fraud.

The facility itself is great, nice equipment and very clean. However the coach made me dislike it. I have toddlers and it is clear that the coach responsible for teaching the 2-3 year old class had no idea or patience for teaching kids these ages. She was constantly rude to my 2.5 year old, resulting in his unwillingness to participate. She played favorites and made going to gymnastics miserable for my kids. When she was unable to teach class one day, she told the substitute coach that my child was difficult- yet when she wasn't his teacher that day, he did amazing! Kids can tell when an adult doesn't like them and it was very evident. Definitely was not worth the money.

New Carpet has been put into the observation room. My son attends weekly classes. He also comes here for camps when school has vacation days. This is a real gym not a kiddie school. All of the equipment is 1st class. The instructors work with small groups of kids and rotate them through out the gym. I see reviews about the condition of the gym but remember there are hundreds of kids every day coming in and out. The observation room might need a coat of paint but the actual gym area is first rate.

We used to take our kids to the Parents' Night Out here and stopped doing so after our kids confided in us that "the staff acted nice and polite" when we (or any parent was around) but "one woman yelled at all the kids" and "punished all of them" when a few misbehaved. We were horrified. There is a clear lack of training, experience and number of staff for working with kids. We reported the incident and never went back. The stress and worry of our kids in that environment was not worth the date night.
