Came here as part of a paid-group experience. We each bought a separate ticket and got our own servers with some foods + unlimited wine/beer. It was a hot day and a bit unbearable to be outside as the food became high attractive to flies, the charcuterie and some finger foods were meh, the open bar did make up for it. The setting itself is unique, almost reminded me of going to an outdoor wedding reception, with a beautiful green landscape... Parking is plentiful, though it can get busy, so arriving early definitely helps make things smoother. I'll admit I didn't really understand the sport too much and watching it from our designated viewing pavilion wasn't exactly the best view. It was mainly a networking opportunity for our young professionals' group than a sporting event. The fashion was fun to take in. A lot of fancy derby wear (floral dresses, hats, sharp suits for the men) Definitely a good spot for people watching and seeing a bit of the local wealth on display.. Overall glad to have done it, not sure if I'll go again outside of corporate or group events.

Had a great time exploring a new sport here this past Sunday! The process was seamless. We purchased our tickets online. Parked and walked over to the viewing area. One side is reserved for members and the other for visitors. You're able to host a private party if you'd like or just come with your own group or solo. Seating is available on the lawn or patio sides. Food and beverages available for purchased. We had champagne, The charcuterie board and potato wedges. All good options. Truly enjoyed watching the game but couldn't tell you the "teams". The experience was about 2 1/2 hours long , 3 if you include arrival time to park etc.

My first experience at the polo club and will definitely be back . It was a very relaxing event for a relaxing birthday. I love that no matter the ticket you have a place to sit and the view is pretty good no matter the seat. The drinks were tasty and menu is pretty extensive. The announcers recognized there were many people new tool so he was really helpful throughout giving pointers of how to enjoy the game. I really appreciated the golf carts to get guests back and forth to the parking area. I still don't really know what's going on in the game but I really enjoyed myself and a great family outing!

Lovely experience attending the Polo Club last week. We were greeted with lovely service! We did not eat here however the staff was very attentive. If you are looking for new things to do in Houston, put this on your list! I was very excited to learn how to play & watch my first game!

This was my first polo match and it was such a fun unique experience. The food is kinda expensive for what it is ($17 + for cocktails & food $9+) but that's expected at these type of events. There's no reserved seating even if you paid for a ticket so getting there early is a MUST. Luckily, we didn't have to park far but I could see how one might get unlucky and have to walk a lot. I'll definitely be attending more polo matches in the future.

If you're looking for a unique experience, stop by Houston Polo Club on a Sunday evening when they are in season. This little oasis in Memorial makes you feel like you're not even in Houston. As you arrive, you'll be surrounded by greenery until you're directed to park on the grass. Polo is a sport where the athletes are on horseback. I don't understand all of the rules but there's an announcer during the match which was helpful. But make sure to arrive before the festivities so you can grab a good seat (if you have general admission tickets) and to enjoy some food and drinks. While I was there on my most recent visit, Ketel One and Tanqueray were posted up giving free samples. Always a plus! At halftime, they invite the crowd onto the field for a champagne toast. So cool! And make sure to dress up for the experience. We're talking Kentucky Derby gear. Preppy, formal wear with pastel or seersucker for the fellas. Colorful, floral dresses and hats for the ladies. It's something different and a great way to spend a couple of hours with friends or with a date.

Polo club needs help. If you happen to sit in the back of the covered pavilion you cant really see much going on and cant see the right 1/4 of the field due to the concession stand in the way. Move the concession stand to the back and tier the tables so the matches can be watched better. Not that many were watching the match as most wanted to be seen. The concession line took 30 minutes which took most of the match so getting a drink was a waste of time

Great experience but the loss of a star was due to the food/catering. I rented a box and ordered food and drinks but the waitress didn't offer a small table, napkins, or serving plates. We had dishes on our laps. The biggest turnoff was when you get your bill it's not itemized they just show you the screen with the total which already includes a 20% service charge. When you pay it has a section for a tip, in other words you double tip. It just felt a little questionable to me. I'll definitely go back but may choose not to order food and drinks to avoid the questionable practice.

So I was invited to a Derby day event here and must admit it was pretty awesome. If you are in the Houston area and have never experienced it, you should at least once in your life time. There was a Polo match going on as well, which I found interesting almost like playing golf on a horse with a hint of soccer. Nevertheless the horse were beautiful and majestic and of course they made the riders look good. Seriously, this was a really great event motivated me to look into a membership as well. Love their Sunday matches. You can buy tickets online or on Groupon for a slightly discounted rate. There is plenty of parking, but if you arrive late, there might be a longer walk through the grass (wear chunky heels or wedges!). There is usually a Ketel One cart serving samples, and The Lymbar caters on site, however, the quality of their dishes is much lower than at their brick and mortar location. The games are usually 2h long, with a break in the middle, where you do a champagne divot stomp. They hand out small cups of complimentary bubbly at this time. There is live flamenco guitar too. Overall, a great way to get some fresh air and sunlight while watching the talented athletes and horses.
