Houston Towers is an unexpected jewel! Tucked away at the edge of the Museum District my mom and I were awed by the beauty and character of this marvel. Our host Nick was gracious beyond measure and we felt welcome and cozy in our room. Coffee, yea and snacks were always available and the room amenities impressed. we hope to come back soon!

I really enjoyed my visit here and the two managers I had contact with were both very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. It's in an old renovated house and I like old historic homes.

This place oozes calm. It takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the busy downtown environment. Space is limited and that is a plus. The use of technology, the decor, and the friendly staff. I will be back. They have coffee, tea, and bottled water all day. If your kids are loud and you are not a good parent, if you are loud and not a good person... don't come here and mess this wonderful place up for the rest of us. If you are local, this is a great place for a staycation. I am very disappointed with the terrible service received at the Houston Towers Inn. What could have been a neat and unique bed and breakfast experience, ended up being the worse customer service ever. As a B&B that has only been around since January of 2018, they have much to learn in this business. My girlfriend and I spent a night at the Towers Inn as a romantic staycation. Immediately we were surprised at the bad neighborhood it is located in. This is definitely the hood and not the friendliest side of town. Next to Houston's infamous 3rd and 4th wards. For this reason, the Inn is gated and you have to tediously manually open and close their gate in order to park your car. Once at the Inn I was greeted by a gentleman who asked for copies of our IDs and made us sign our paperwork. He, went over a wide array of rules that we needed to agree on. This place has to be the strictest B&B I've ever stayed at. The inside of the building is, interesting, to say the least. There is a lack of historical value inside the Inn, since most of it is newly remodeled. Once we made it to our room, we realized it wasn't very spacious at all. The Inn has a poor excuse for a pool, which is more like a small fountain. There are also two outdoor patios.All these areas have a 10pm curfew. That night, we had an issue with our restroom door, which would not open. We called the number provided and another employee came to us. He was an older man, gave a creepy vibe, and was very cold to us. It seemed as though he was irritated to help. In the morning, a pitiful breakfast was provided to us. Anyone that has stayed in many B&Bs, knows that breakfasts is supposed to be something that stands out (hence the name Bed and BREAKFAST!). It was all self serve and similar to the continental breakfast you would find at a cheap hotel. Nothing with substinance, no eggs, no bacon, nothing! There were frozen crepes, cheese, and fruit. Check out was at 12pm, so my girlfriend and I packed our things and said goodbye to the staff. It was after our check out, that the disrespect began. I received a call from the first employee of the Inn that we had stolen a towel and would have to pay a $25 fee. After, I told him that we would not do such a thing, I asked him if he had checked the bathroom door where we had hung our towels. After checking, the weird man embarrassingly apologized. Later on that same day, the older and cold staff member called me and said that I had smoked in the room and would be charged $500. This came to a surprise to me, as my girlfriend and I are lifelong non-smokers. The man insisted that the room smelled like smoke and that he found tobacco in the garbage can. Once again, I explained to the incompetent employee, that we were not smokers and it was impossible for him to have found tobacco in the room. He called me at least five times that same day and accused us of smoking in his room and ruining it. His tone became loud and he then began to threaten me. He told me that my two options were to have the police called on me for smoking "marijuana", or return to the Inn to "settle things". He continued to make his false accusations and would not listen to me as I told him we were not smokers. At this point, I told the man that I would not return to the Inn, since his tone of voice and words were direct threats to me. He said to pay the $500, and I told him I would not do so. Now, I have received an invoice by email for these false charges. Do not, I repeat, do not give these people your business. The city of Houston has many great B&Bs where customer service is at the helm. We have stayed at many of them before. The Houston Towers Inn has employees with a cold demeanor, they are not eager to help, and are looking for any excuse to get money out of their customers. You would think that their $150 a night would be enough! While I work on resolving the situation, all I can do is warn others of the poor service provided. In summary, the Houston Towers Inn, is a poor excuse for a Bed and Breakfast. They are located in the most run down part of the city. The locale is unsafe, has rude/cold employees, provides a tight space and a poor breakfast. They do not value their customers. Avoid at all costs.

Let me start off with all the things I enjoyed about this b& b. The location was close to downtown and my child's college UH. There's free gated paved parking. Code access to the front and room doors. I'm really bad about losing a key card or demagnetizing it with my purse so that's a plus. The look of the outside of the building is like a fairy tail castle. Around the back is a new design pool, and I loved the decor and relaxing atmosphere. The inside of the building decor was not really my taste but I could appreciate it. Very historical older decor and clean. The rooms were so very nicely decorated, you could tell someone took a great deal of time and talent with every room detail. Bed and pillows were very soft. Now let's go over the not so great things. Rules rules rules. They were posted on the walls of every room even the bathroom. This is an adult only hotel so really some of this stuff is just plain commonsense. Other than that there's a normal extra charge for any visitors which is weird. The older man at the office, honestly was not the most friendly. He kinda tried to sound happy but it was pretty forced. Also not the fastest wpm typer either. I guess that's too be expected. My sleep was pretty nice until the morning. I could hear all the footsteps going up and down the stairs. Also all the footsteps from the room above me. Literally it was like elephants dancing around. My private room balcony was nice but had a connection to some other room and a larger community patio, so I know someone was in my area bc there was a cigarette on the floor. I don't smoke. There was an employee smoking later in the front parking area so I assume it was him. All in all more good stuff than bad. I like to try out new places rather than keep going to the same so probably won't be returning. Good experience though.

Nice, clean, and classy. Breakfast wasn't at all what I expected, especially going off other reviews. It was Swedish pancakes, eggs over easy, sausage, croissants, yogurt, pretty simple but not my taste. Overall it was a lovely stay that was super quiet and relaxing.

Simply incredible! Inside and out Houston Towers is spectacular and the service and food are similarly wonderful. It looked like an interesting place to spend a night but photos don't do justice to the in-person experience. The rooms are unique--we stayed in the Captain's Quarters--and the common areas are vast and have surprises around every corner. So stop messing around and book yourself a trip that's a treat!

This is my favorite place to stay while in Houston. The home is amazingly beautiful with a collection of artwork that will impress, very comfy beds, and space to find a quiet corner to read. The location can't be beat, especially if you're visiting the University of Houston (or your daughter who lives nearby, which was the case for me). The owners are so friendly and make you feel like you're visiting with an old friend who happens to also live in an elegant home. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
