We stopped at Hubcap Grill in the Houston Hobby airport during a recent layover while traveling home. It is about par for what you'd expect from an airport hamburger/beer bar. It took awhile to be seated because the hostesses up front could not handle the amount of diners showing up. Plenty of open seating in the restaurant, the hostesses were simply moving slowly. The service was decent. Angela was our waitress, and she did a good job. The food was decent enough as well. The grilled chicken salad was fresh and ample for a meal. The chicken wings were a bit undercooked and fatty for us, but the buffalo sauce was good. All in all, a decent meal in a crowded airport. We try to avoid airport food, but this was an extended delay day at the airport. Hubcap Grill is decent food if you need to each at Hobby Airport.

My mom and I had a great meal here prior to boarding our flight. It's a sit down, our meals were hot and fresh, our hostess and waiter were pleasant and attentive. Great place to relax away from the stress of the airport experience.

Hubcap is located inside the Hobby airport. The employees are working hard to services customers. The interior of the restaurant is very dirty and check your seat before sitting to make sure you don't sit in food. You are at the airport and the prices reflect that. This is a decent burger. There are other burgers in the airport that are better, but I wanted to try the food at this place since I have never eaten here before. Beer: hopididdo is a great IPA. Service: young lady was working hard and lots of tables. Order quickly. Food: cheeseburger basket. The burger bun is a very soft fluffy bun. The bottom bun was stone cold, so I removed it and ate the upper bun only with fork and knife. The burger patty is very thin, but had a good flavor. The onions, tomato, lettuce, and pickle was very fresh. The French fries were hot and abundant.

For airport food, this isn't too bad. We ordered from the Togo counter which was a lot faster than waiting 20 mins just to get a table. The service gal at the Togo counter was great. Our order took about 12 mins and she brought it out with a smile and packed with all the condiments, napkins and utensils. I ordered the spicy grilled chicken sandwich. It was just ok. It did have good flavor but I prefer a real chicken breast patty that is breaded, rather than a chicken nugget patty. Hubby ordered the bacon burger and he said his was 3 stars as well.

We had a long layover at the airport & wanted get some lunch while we waited. Hubcap grill had plenty of seating with ample space for our luggage's, we sat pub style table. Our waitress was really nice, got us started on waters & gave us time to browse the menu. After a while we decided & our waitress came back to take our orders. I opted for the classic cheeseburger with tots, and partner got the bacon cheeseburger with fries & the kiddo got the hangover burger I believe with fries. The wait for the food wasn't too long, about 10-15 minutes. They have music playing & tvs in the bar area. Our food came out, everything was hot & fresh. The fries were delicious & well seasoned. My tots were lil over cooked for my liking but still good. Our burgers were juicy & seasoned. It was nice to have a space to eat, sit down & enjoy a meal.

This place, just a few weeks ago, was the location of a Pappas Bros. joint. They were booted from the airport because ... probably politics. But I digress. Hubcap Grill had a location in my hometown for a minute, and their burgers are some of the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating. This stop, however, was merely a beer run prior to hopping on a plane. The burger menu here is somewhat limited, which is understandable at an airport. The beer menu sufficed. The staff here was very polite. The joint was also clean and welcoming.

I was a party of one and the host and hostess sat me at the bar even though there was a plethora of open tables and no wait. The service was a solid 2/5. I asked for a water and ordered a seltzer and bacon cheese fries. I never got my water even though I was at the bar. The staff was more interested in each other and tasting drink samples than anything else. My fries were cold and so the cheese coagulated almost immediately after I got served. I did not ask for a redo bc I couldn't even get the water I had ordered initially. So it was cold hard fries, cold yellow cheese, and sprinkles of bacon I really enjoyed my hard seltzer. I would recommend this place for drinks and drinks only.

Pretty good. Food comes medium rare. But great. Ask for well done. Or get the Texas food version. Service was super fast. The taste was great. Burger with bacon. French fries were cracked pepper and salt. Tasty. My taste buds boomed. Refills fast. Quality att3ntion from the waitress. Great spot for a burger or chicken while at Hobby International Airport. Prices are a casual fair.

So the food was OK - I had a Hangover Burger, which was a good choice. Don't bother with the bacon and cheese fries - they're mediocre at best. I'm sad to say the service was subpar as well. The burger was supposed to come with cream gravy. It didn't. I asked for the cream gravy and some ketchup. The waitress said she would get it but never did, and the place was not that busy. I suspect they were out of gravy and didn't want to tell me that. The drinks were another story entirely. I ordered an Old Fashioned. I'm not sure what I got, and it was good, but it was definitely not an Old Fashioned. Seemed like a combination of some kind of whiskey (either bourbon or rye, most likely), lime juice, and possibly simple syrup or agave nectar. Is the food bad? Not really. But it's not great, and there are better choices at Hobby Airport.
