Stopped in for a quick breakfast with coworkers. Nobody else was really here, but I've been to other locations and had good experiences. Space was clean and we ordered at the counter and sat ourselves. Honestly there's nothing to write home about for the breakfast we had. My two buddies got Meat Lovers omelets that had really a thin layer of egg that held together some other breakfast proteins. Omelets didn't look fluffy like you'd hope. I got the Island Breakfast and I mean, it was eggs, deep fried bacon, not crunchy potatoes, and toast from a bag. The order came out correctly and the food was hot, that's the bare minimum. I imagine the lunch options are probably a little more flavorful, but the breakfast downtown is always like this; just convenient at best.

Not sure why such low ratings, outside these downtown prices I have found the food pretty good. Chicken kabob i am really impressed with since most places chicken always seem a bit on the dry side. Chicken here always seems cooked well and juicy. Gyro, beef kabobs, hummus...nothing to complain about.

Island Grill has been a stable go-to in Rice Village, this location is just as friendly, efficient and tasty menu as the other.

Although I got 20 minutes before closing, they still had a great selection and variety. The food servings were tasty and of generous portions. I will definitely return next time I am in Houston!

Breakfast, vegetarian, fish and beef options. This place is located close to work and I have been wanting to try it. I like the variety on the menu. For lunch, I had a California cod pita sandwich. This sandwich was very good and was offered at a fair price. I did opt for the combo at $4.50 additional, but the size of the tabouleh side was awful, only a few bites. The self-serve drink machine is nice. Island Grill was serving a happy hour until about 6pm, but they unfortunately now close now at 5pm. I do want to return and try breakfast sometime, maybe a gyro for another lunch.

Decided to try again and still terrible. Way overpriced for the food and quality received. I spent over $40 for a pita sandwich, salad, and some side small shrimp. If I had known how little value it was, I would never have ordered. Quality was subpar. Shrimp was small and tasted dirty, salad was minimal and cod in pita was small and unflavored. My co-workers asked me what I got when returned to office and were shocked at the food quantity and value and when I told them the price. After eating, I was even more unimpressed. taste wasn't even good, co-workers said they won't ever try it and will let others know and I also decided I'll never go back to to this franchise again.

I had been told this place was good for lunch. I tried the Angus burger and it was very good. Cooked the way I ordered, but I will order medium next time. I will definitely come back and try more things. Staff is very friendly and courteous!! A serious drawback is that the AC is not running, I order to go! The AC is the reason for the low score.

First time here. Food was tasty and ambiance was small but inviting. Staff was attentive to our needs and very friendly. They offer a breakfast menu as well. Both breakfast and lunch have veggie options. I'll try this place again and try something new. It's in the Total building so no parking except on street level. Another place to eat if you work or are visiting downtown.

This place is so cute! The food is extremely fresh and you even get a free ice cream cone if you're a paying customer. I recommend any of the pitas!! For breakfast, try the crime brûlée French toast! You won't regret it!

This is a great downtown restaurant. There are a million items on the menu. They offer great breakfast and lunch options and the staff are friendly and welcoming. It's much larger on the inside than it looks from the outside and is a great place to have a team lunch
