Please read the reviews about this place carefully. The reason it is a 4.6 is because of the family friendliness and it is great in that regard. There is an enclosed outdoor space and an indoor arcade. The whole premise of Little Matt's is to be kid friendly. That being said, the food itself is maybe 3.5. Truly nothing special. Fries taste like they come from frozen but honestly if you are coming home from a long day and need a place that the kids can be a kid. Come here.

Little Matt's is made for families and I'm glad we found it for our "2 boys and a little lady" brunch we have with my BFF our 9, 4 and 3 year olds. The food was good. We have the kids chicken tenders (large portion), kids hot doc (huge wiener), Little Matt's Hamburger, Cobb salad and the Burrito bowl. We had the Thai wrap but the chicken was dry and hard. The froze are amazing. My fave part of the meal. However THE BEST PART overall is they know parents will need strength so they give FREE margaritas! Yep you heard me. We didn't realize this until we went back for a second one! Whoop! There is outdoor seating and an arcade if you want brave those areas. We kept them out of our kiddos' sight to limit our stress levels lol. They have lots of candy and frozen treats for the littles if you're interested. We chose to go down to Milk & Cookies for dessert

Why 4 stars? Because the food was fine, but it was fun for the kids. --- --- --- We have had Little Matt's bookmarked for quite some time, so when it came to choosing a place to meet up with some family in Houston, once we thought about Little Matt's, we made our decision very quickly. With three kids between 4-7 in the group, a restaurant with tons of food kids love and an arcade is always going to be an easy decision. The burgers themselves were perfectly fine, but I wouldn't really need to rush back here to order them again. My wife and I shared a bacon cheeseburger and the Santa Barbara Sourdough. I'd go with 3.5-stars on both. My favorite part of the meal were the garlic fries. We had one order of regular fries and one order of garlic, but I definitely wish we had just gotten two garlic. They tasted great, but I avoided the intense after taste that usually follows garlic fries, so these were really the best of both worlds. Oh and the fried pickles really hit the spot too. We hit up the arcade after we finished eating. To be honest, it was fun, but it's a really tight space in there. And loud, even with just a few kids. My wife mentioned that there is a really nice backstory behind why this place was created, which definitely makes me really wish for continued success for these fine people. I visited Little Matt's on a Saturday night with my wife and our 19-month-old toddler, curious to see why it was named #1 Kid-Friendly Restaurant in the Nation by Yelp for 2025. The restaurant's story is touching. Founded by Bill and Cindy Lillard in memory of their son, Bobby, proceeds benefit Texas Children's Hospital and other local organizations. When we arrived, the restaurant was packed with families and kids of all ages. There's a small outdoor patio with four tables, a back patio with more seating, and inside you order everything at the counter before they bring it to your table. The staff, mostly younger workers, were friendly and playful with my son. Entertainment options are everywhere. There's a mini arcade room, iPad stations, a candy counter, and a photo booth. If you have young toddlers, they have high chairs available as well. [KIDS MENU] +Hamburger for $7.95 - Served with fruit and fries. My son enjoyed it all, and the fruit was grapes. - 5/5 [SALADS] +Caesar Salad for $11.95 - Very basic, with ranch dressing provided on the side. I would skip this. - 2/5 [BURGERS AND SANDWICHES] +Little Matt's Cheeseburger for $11.95 - Cooked medium with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion on a toasted bun, served with seasoned fries. A decent burger, but not particularly memorable. - 3.5/5 Service was friendly and quick, and the whole place felt like a neighborhood hangout where families spend hours. Overall, Little Matt's is about the atmosphere and community more than the food. If you're local, this is the kind of spot your kids will grow up with and never forget. If you're coming from further away, it's worth experiencing once for the family-friendly vibe and cause, but the food for adults is just okay.

You know I'm upset that I've been in Houston for 8 years and I just now found this place. The food was amazing! The burger was perfect. Service was great! And ambiance was chill. Can't wait to come back.

The food was amazing, the service is counter service and the ambiance is very very family friendly. Lots of kids and families. It was packed so get there early. They close at 8:00 pm so plan accordingly. Definitely read the about us story on the website. It was such an inspiration and really one of the many reasons we wanted to come here. So this place some love and go enjoy some good food. Fun, happening, casual dress kid friendly spot. Good job Little Matt's

Great place to take the kids for a meal and some fun! Food is delicious although not a lot of options BUT that's not a bad thing. Service is great, friendly and fast. The restaurant is really catered to keep the kids busy and entertained. There is an arcade in the back, tons of candy and sweet treats, a cool positive message board that folks can write down and place on the wall. I haven't been since before COVID but adults use to be get a free "adult beverage " Highly recommend!

Excellent food - To start with had chips with salsa, queso and guacamole which was awesome. Ours burgers were delicious and prepared just like we ordered. Had regular fries and garlic fries which were delicious also. The service was very good and cannot say enough about the owner and their staff - very friendly and so accommodating. Will definitely be eating there again. Oh yes, it is really great place for children, saw a game room!

They've done a good job of utilizing the overall space, with lots of seating for both their interior and outdoor courtyard space. Everything from napkins, utensils, condiments, boxes and water are self serve and adults can enjoy the various TVs playing sports and news, while the kids can enjoy the arcade area. The bathrooms are clean and youngins are free to roam around freely. Their claim to fame has been their burgers, which have garnered some acclaim both locally and nationally. They're hefty and plenty filling, but I tend to prefer my patties to be less well done and more on the rare side. The chips and queso + salsa are basic, but I appreciate the amount of chips provided, which is perfect for a group to share. The fries have a strangely salty and addictive quality to it, but I can't put my finger on why. If there was a lowlight, it was going to be for the pastas. The mac and cheese was soft boiled noodles with some cheese sauce and the penne in marina is really aimed at young children looking for a little sustenance before running around the place. The wait staff are all young folks and the management is very good about keeping things efficient and constantly going. They made such a wonderful impression on me that I intend on making Little Matt's a regular stop whenever I'm feeling like burgers and a little bit of food coma.
