Easy five star review! I noticed some low reviews but that was simply not my experience. Angel was great, his customer service was top notch and the food was great. I really don't get the recent low ratings but we really enjoyed everything about this place. If you are connected with me on yelp and live in town, I challenge you give them a try. I was very happy. Food: the tacos are great! The barbacoa are to die for. The best I've had in downtown. They reminded me of Gerardo's drive in off Patton. It's close to that taco I had to ask if they got it from there. That's a compliment. The breakfast tacos are amazing too. Very happy with the food:m, the service and location. The low reviews do not reflect my experience. Easy 5 stars. They also stay open late and open early. What else could you ask for? Thanks again! I'll be back for taco Tuesday!

Great food fast! For our first time there, servers explained the menu and made recommendations. Food was tasty! The place was clean and plenty of room to accommodate a large group. They also have a full bar.

It's Texas. Make sure the AC works. Nice big corner in a busy section of the hood. Seems to have nice looking drinks. But the AC was a real downer. If it had worked, we'd have stayed. So we got tacos to go. Breakfast served all day yall!

Wife and I decided to stop and try the Lone Taco. Inside was nice and laid out well. Staff were great and very friendly. We did breakfast tacos. We had Dallas , Royal flush and chorizo tacos. They were good and each one was on fresh tortilla. My wife said the Chorizo was the best one. Only negative is the ham in one seemed a little old. Worth a stop and try. Remember this is downtown, so the prices are accordingly.

The food is good and the sauce is excellent - BUT -this morning, when we asked to get our breakfast taco put in a burrito sized tortilla - NOT with extra filling, just a larger tortilla - we were told the charge would be $12.55 (the same as a beef fajita burrito!). Almost 8 dollars more for a slightly bigger tortilla. We left.

Stopped by for a late evening dinner, Brian greeted us the moment we walked in and also helped us out with the menu. Brian was very knowledgeable and professional. I personally ordered the steak quesadilla and the Picadillo taco. Both were very tasty and delicious, and the portion was perfect. I will definitely make this place a stop everytime I'm in Houston. Good job and two thumbs up

Got food to go for in-laws who were tired after a walk around the downtown. Got chicken tacos and dynamite queso. The queso was great, the chips were ok and so were the tacos. The spicy salsa was really nice. Their ambience is great and I wish I had the time to sit down for a margarita, may be next time. Good in a pich, but there are better places around if you have time on hand

Was staying in downtown Houston and looking for a quick lunch spot...and stumbles across Lone Star Taco a few blocks from my hotel. They have a wide election of tacos, a few burritos and nachos. I opted for a couple of tacos from the all day breakfast menu...went with egg bacon and cheese and jalapeño cheese sausage, egg and cheese. Both were good but the sausage was exceptional. Comes with some red and green hot sauce...delish. About $10.50 for 2 tacos , soda and a tip...not a bad deal!

I went to the Lonestar taco on Sunday afternoon. We saw that the ratings were only like 3.4 don't understand because the food was very, very good. If I stay downtown again, that'll be one of my first points to go eat out again I ordered two Barbacoa tacos and one ground beef taco And a breakfast taco with egg, bacon and cheese For all four tacos, I use the homemade flour tortillas We had some guacamole and chips, which would be the best I've had in a long time very well seasoned They have a large menu to pick from I recommend you look at it before you get to the restaurant When you walk in, you had to go to a counter like most fast food places in place your order and then they bring you the food when it's ready They do have a full service bar there with all kinds of TVs showing sporting events I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing. The service was great very moderately priced considering downtown Houston can be pricey for restaurants.
