Oh, I wish they sold their salsa in giant vats. A friend my sister suggested this place, and she was so right. It was love at first chip. I ended up getting the spicy chicken tacos, which was great, though messy. Quick and good service, received my food and my check in a very reasonable amount of time. It was pre dinner rush when I got there, so it wasn't super crowded, but it seemed like a good place to hang out. And the prices seemed pretty reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET FOOD POISONING! We ordered the grandioso plate to share at our table and everyone (INCLUDING OUR 1 YEAR OLD) got sick from the food that same night! We spoke to the manager Levi to let them know their kitchen needs to pay better attention to food temperature and he had the audacity to say we were all probably sick before eating there. The arrogance is not only insulting (we know we weren't sick before eating their food) but also DANGEROUS!! We took our baby to the doctor and she said it was 100% food poisoning and the timeline she gave aligned with eating dinner at this location!! Take responsibility and fix your kitchen before others get sick. We frequent multiple Lupe Tortilla locations and this manager and their kitchen are a danger. We have never experienced such terrible service at any other location! Causing food poisoning and not even attempting to admit and apologize for their mistake or correct their mistake can lead to many other families and babies to get sick. Stay away from this location and their rude, arrogant manager!!

This review is directly related to how incompetent, annoying and lacking of self awareness the manager at this location is. He needs to go back to training class on how to treat repeat customers and handle simple situations. His jokes are also not funny and him coming to check how my meal was makes me want to bang my head against the table because he lingers. I tolerated this to be nice. I've been going to Lupe's for 10 years, spent someones tuition on fajitas and have never had a horrible experience until last night. Me and my girlfriend were asked to leave out seat on the pattio because our 3 pound dog was barking at the waiter that walked by and a guest complained. We are on the patio where dogs are allowed. We had just ordered our meal. The manager didn't deescalate the situation or offer a solution. I left to avoid further conflict but this is unacceptable . Do better

Not worth the price; went for lunch. Chose chicken fajitas and a chicken fajita salad from the lunch menu both had water. The final price was $50 which is ridiculous because the fajitas that came out were not at all sizzling or even hot and the chicken in my salad was just cold cubes of pre-cooked chicken salsa comes in tiny little bowls,you have to beg for more The rice at a very odd and unpleasant flavor, and the beans were cold and not smooth ,as refried beans should be. Too much to pay for mostly inedible food. Waitress was very nice although it took over 25 minutes to get our food when they were only for other tables busy in the restaurant. We won't be going back again.

First time at a Lupe Tortilla and it was a nice lunch! The inside is festively decorated and bright-- definitely a Tex-Mex feel. There's complimentary chips and salsa + beans to start, and I loved the beans! Warm and nicely flavored without being overly salty. The chips themselves were on the thinner side and the salsa was a little spicy. Beef fajitas (4 out of 5) are tender and tasty! Not overly salted and I loved how they weren't super chewy or in a puddle of oil. It came with tortillas, guacamole, cheese, salsa, and sour cream. Half a pound was enough for a meal that wouldn't set you into a food coma. Would order again! Barbacoa tacos (3.5 out of 5) came as a set of 2. Their flour tortillas are very thin and large, so felt like there was an excess of tortilla compared to the meat, which was tender and was savory, not spiced much, and okay. Would be fine eating again but would probably try something else next time. There was an option to substitute the rice and beans with vegetables: street corn and green beans. The street corn (4 out of 5) was sweet and had cute tiny kernels, but the dollop of aioli tasted like tartar sauce and mayo so we scraped that off. The green beans (4 out of 5) were young, not too crunchy or tough, and tasty. Although it came With cheese and cilantro sprinkled on top, it didn't taste too differently than just flavored with salt. Our server, Donny, was enthusiastic and nice, although he seemed stretched as it gets pretty busy during lunch time (so go early!). Definitely a little pricey for what it is, but still nice to try Lupe! We'd come back for the fajitas!

THE RIBS!! I know it is Mexican but this is one of the best places for BBQ ribs. They have a rich savory flavor with a slightly sweet sauce. The meat is tender and juicy, with a good amount of fat that adds to the overall flavor and texture. The service tonight was excellent. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I just moved to the area from N Dallas. Over the past 8 years we have become huge fans of Lupe Tortilla. There was one by my corporate office, and they built another by our home in Allen, TX. Lupe is not cheap but their food is excellent. Top quality beef, the best flour tortillas outside of Mexico, and the beans and salsa they serve to everyone are just awesome. Well.. we stopped in a month ago and convinced a big group of friends to come with us. A few of them said they weren't fans of Lupe which frankly astonished us. They had only visited the one in Kingwood. We decided to go the Kingwood location as it's not far from where we live in Spring. All of the restaurants are the same, or built very similarly. The restaurants feel nice, well decorated, great outdoor seating, etc. We were seated after a 30 minute wait on a Friday night which wasn't bad. The server was rude, slow, and over the next hour while we wait we all complained of how long we'd go with empty glasses. The beans which are usually a bit soupy (ranchero style) were dry. Very dry. When I complained to the server he shrugged his shoulders. I told him that I've eaten at Lupe some 70 to 80 times, they've catered to my businesses, and I've never had beans like this. I asked him to get us new ones. 20 minutes later he brought us better beans. The fajitas which are normally perfect, were overcooked. The tortillas were not as fresh as we're accustomed to. My wife and I left embarrassed that we convinced our friends to spend 80-$100 a couple for such a terrible experience. If nothing else, the Kingwood restaurant is a perfect example of how important a good restaurant manager is. No wonder this place as 3 stars. I really hope they get their act together as we'd love to go back. Until I hear better.. there's no way.

Let me start by saying that I love Lupe Tortilla! Any time I think about having fajitas, It's my first choice. Unfortunately, it's been twice I've ordered food to go/ curb pick up and they do not honor the service. Today I ordered some food around 8 o'clock. I arrived to spot #1, send a text twice and nobody brought my food. I figure they are too busy. I walked in there and the place is empty. If you guys don't offer the curb pick up service, it should be posted somewhere.
