I'll admit I didn't know that this theater and spot existed. Consisting of 4-5 different rooms/theaters in a larger complex, MATCH is a great place to see plays, art installations, comedy and other creative works. We came to see Midnight High, a really good immersive play experience. Arriving early, we bought some drinks from the cafe. Outdoor seating is good, covered and plentiful. I look forward to coming back for another play or to see an exhibit. Check them out.

Super small and very intimate stage where every seat is a good seat. I went to go watch a limited time experience "Untamed Soul". Really cool and unique experience that I will definitely remember. Ti gets were also moderately priced along with the drinks sold.

This was my first time visiting the Midtown Arts Theater Center Houston. It was my pleasure to watch an immersive dance production called "Someone Is Always Watching" performed by Panopticon. The show was fantastic and the space inside the theater complimented the flow of the story very well. In this type of production the environment transforms around the audience and the performers. There is no separation from the viewer and the dancer which allows you to really connect with the performers. I was really moved by the story and am looking forward to attending other such productions. MATCH is located in a fairly busy part of Midtown so street parking might be difficult. There is a parking garage directly across the street from the theater which is another convenient option for parking. There is also an onsite cafe that sells snack and beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic). The grounds are quite nice and the staff on site were very helpful with getting tickets and directing us to which theater room to enter. All in all an excellent experience.

This is such a great environment with outstanding entertainment. The shows are intimate and well-performed. Parking is available in the parking garage right across the street. Safe and secure.

This is by far my favorite venue for plays and musicals! It is smaller and more intimate, but yet there is still enough room to not feel claustrophobic. There are multiple theaters as well which makes a nice venue for many shows to happen at the same time.

This unique well constructed theater is located in Midtown at 3400 Main Street. 5/5 There's a large, open, and airy breezeway with seating to enjoy prior to performances. 5/5 Clean women's restroom has ample stalls and a mural feature wall. 5/5 A concession stand is also available onsite. There are 4 MATCH box theaters to accommodate multiple events. Before the performance, there was an event backdrop for photo ops which is always a plus to capture the moment. I chose a paid parking garage nearby. The entire evening was an enjoyable experience. I'm looking forward to returning.

Youth Theatre production with the grandkids. Fancy Nancy! Fun and funny! I love attending live theatre. The Houston Midtown Arts and Theatre center is a splendid assortment of venues. The parking was easy and inexpensive. The Sunday traffic for our matinee was light and inconsequential. Lots of restaurants for late lunch afterwards in the area. The acting and singing and staging was terrific! The theatre has a capacity of 500 and it felt intimate and cozy!

This arts center is a hidden gem. Having several sizes "matchbox" styled theatre's with rotating shows. Clean, modern facilities with a fresh air outdoor walkway between theatre areas. Just not sure how they advertise what is happening because after 2 years I stubbled upon this place.

My daughter and I have attended 2 shows in Main Street Theater's youth theater lineup. We love it! The theater isn't too big, and they have plays/musicals geared for different ages - some are recommended for pre-K and up, others for kindergarten and up, others for bigger kids. No one under the age of 3 is allowed in the theater though. One thing to note- if you sit in the first couple of rows with a child, they'll have to kind of look upwards to see the play so I'd personally recommend row D or E or higher, rather than rows A/B/C for the younger set.

Bravo!! My niece turned and told me " this is so entertaining " she is 11 !! Do you know how hard it is to impress an 11 year old!? Yooooo, this place is all I imagined besides taking my niece I was Uber stoked!!! And this play made me gleeeeee even more. Nice setting , friendly staff, clean venue.
