I have no idea why this place has three stars, because I really loved it! They have a good selection of foods and I ordered the Birria tacos and the Al Pastor tacos. Both of them were really good. The consommé that came with the birria was one of the more flavorful ones that I've gotten. The al pastor had the right seasonings and pineapple. Very flavorful and with the salsas provided they are even more amazing. This might be my new go to place when we are in the theater district. Not to mention it is inside of the lyric market food hall so it's easy to go with a group and everyone can get what they want. There's a bar right next to this place with great drinks. The workers were nice and the service quick. The assortment of salsas that come with your meal are all so good. As a Mexican American myself, I was pleased with my meal and have no complaints. I will definitely come back.

I was hesitant to try Mexology because some of the recent reviews weren't favorable, but I was craving Mexican food and decided to give it a try. I ordered at the counter and was given a pager. You can also order online or place an order from your table in the food hall. It didn't take long for my food to be prepared. I had the quesabirra tacos. The order came with three and a large bowl of consommé. I honestly wasn't expecting much with the flavor, but these tacos were so good! The tortillas were crispy and cheesy and the brisket was tender and very flavorful. The consommé was sooooo good! It was a tad salty for my preference, but it really elevated the flavor of the tacos. I was happy that they put a spoon on the tray because I was able to sip on the broth with each bite of taco. The onions and cilantro in the consommé elevated the flavor! I also enjoyed the pickled onions and cilantro on top of the tacos with the lime wedges. There was so much going on with the flavors and the portion was perfect. I've eaten at a couple of food stalls at Lyric Market, and I have to say that Mexology is currently one of the better options.

This place needs more attention! It was so great. We ordered online so it would be ready by the time we got there. It was ready even quicker than the estimate. The staff was super friendly. Everything was packed really nicely. We ended up eating at the lyric market which was a fun atmosphere. There was live jazz music and a great bar. The food was absolutely delicious. We loved everything. The consommé for the birria was amazing. The Al pastor was phenomenal. I loved the sweet plantains as well. The sauces were spicy and complimented everything really well. Great little spot!

I came to check out this place inside of the Lyric market in the theater district. The offered yummy mexican food and I got the elote! It was super tasty! I would have liked a little bit more elote since the plate was a bit small for the price. The cashier was very friendly and mentioned that if we parked in the Lyric garage and bought something in the Lyric market, you get 2 hours free parking! Definitely visiting again!

Great spot in the Lyric market. I loved their salmon bowl - it is quite a large portion and includes salad, rice, beans, guacamole, and protein of choice. The salmon was a tad on the dry side, but overall, the flavors were excellent. Takes about 10 min to make. There is plenty of seating in the food court, and they sometimes have live music as well.

The queso was probably some of the worst queso I've ever had. It was basically melted Velveeta.

Gross. We stopped here before a show. The chips & queso were just horrible. The chips weren't too bad, but the queso tasted like nacho cheese sauce out of a can. We got quesadillas and they were greasy and the meat was tough. Wish we could've asked for our money back. Won't be back!

Lunch special is solid! Super filling tacos with plenty of meat to make your heart sing. Black beans are pretty great and so is the prickly pear lemonade. Only downside is the rice. I can't stand minute rice. Otherwise, affordable and yummy.

I wasted $41. Lured by an IG post that had the good looking amazing. PRICKLY PEAR LEMONADE Had a strange aftertaste. Drank two sips then tossed it. STEAK TACOS $19 for three tacos. Food trucks that come a dime a dozen and for a ay cheaper do more justice than these. Took one bite and threw away. No sauce was included in bag as accompaniment so it was very tough and dry. PLANTAINS Good and ripe but I ordered early so when I got them they were cold. Not their fault. Could have reheated but I love them fresh off the oil. MEXICAN RICE Was expecting better than this. ELOTES I had high hopes for this because of the pictures. Also a let down.
