If you were expecting to eat Colombian food, avoid this restaurant. There was very little about this experience that wasn't disappointing. Not only was the service terribly mediocre everything that they tried to pass off as Colombian food was a joke.. An easy example of this is the beans. Having been raised in Columbia I am a huge fan of Colombian beans and rice. To my disappointment, what I got instead was charro beans claiming Colombian heritage. If this were just a Mexican restaurant it would be considered mediocre at best but as a Colombian restaurant it is a complete failure!

DEEELICIOUS. We were one of the two groups dining in, but it took at least 30 min for our food to come out. Even the tostones took at least 20 min, and that was the app... despite the slow service, the food really hit the spot. The tostones were phenomenal and were served with a tangy, sweet sauce. The bistec a caballo was filling and satisfying. The meat was tender and flavor. The yuccas were crispy. I enjoyed every part of the dish!

I love supporting local business. So glad they are open for breakfast. The lady was cleaning when I arrived. Love how clean it was. She was so nice and my spanish was not so good and she was able to take the order in English. I started with arepas chorizo and Chicharon and had to get the empenadas. All was hot and good i asked for the green sauce and she brought normal Verde and a amazing salsa chimichurri that I put on everything. I got the pedeja combo to go for lunch and I did not let me down and could not finish. All was good and will be back.

Mi recuerdo is a fav local spot in the NW Houston area! It's a Mexican/columbian restaurant with traditional vibes from the food to the colorful walls. If you visit you must get the Bandeja Paisa! It's such a classic dish with all the fixings (steak, sausage, rice, beans, plantains, and corn bread). If you're thinking about getting an appetizer, the columbian cheese bread is the best!! Everything is made fresh to order and you can taste the quality! The service is also great, and feels like everyone is family. I am sad that they recently changed their hours. They used to close around 8:30pm, and now close at 4pm, so my husband and I can't catch them for dinner. Other than that they are a must visit for breakfast & lunch!

I stopped for lunch. There are not many pescetarian items. The booth I sat on had a slightly dirty table. It had not been wiped completely. Music playing was a fun salsa and merengue mix. I ordered a soursop drink with water. The serving is generous. It didn't disappoint. I had a side of white rice and beans. Though the beans were flavorful, the serving is small. There is an upcharge for using a credit card. I wish I knew before paying as I would have paid cash. If you check in on Yelp, you get a free canned soda with an entrée. This restaurant is a mixture of Colombian and Mexican dishes. And there were two of the countries' flags on the wall.

The service was great, very friendly. I got my usual bandeja paisa but it was missing flavor. Most of the food needed salt and although it was well priced, it was still significantly smaller than most places I've been to and it's my favorite dish. The place itself was big enough to dine in but it could use some better decor. Also, they had a "salad" on the plate which I was not a fan off, it made no sense and it had absolutely no flavor.

Que estafa tan brutal. Este es un restaurante netamente falso. Primero que todo nada de lo que sirvieron era Colombiano. Lo único Colombiano a mas de las decoraciones eran las gaseosas y la colombiana. Llegue al restaurante con la esperanza de un deleite gastronómico y sali con una decepción astronómica. No se de donde es el chef pero de colombiano no tiene nada. Lo único que medio semejaba algo era el chicharron y aun eso lo cortaron muy fino y lo sobre fritaron. No desperdicie el dinero, a 20 minutos hay mejores restaurantes Colombianos. Yo pedi la bandeja paisa porque no tenian una simple cáusela de frijoles y lo que me llego parecía un plato genérico de cualquier país latino, algo que se consigue a dolar en un almuerzo. Imaginese una bandeja paisa servida en un plato común y con la mitad del plato cubierta por una ensalada. Quien carajos ha visto una bandeja paisa con ensalada? Los frijoles también pura estafa, lo que nos sirvieron eran frijoles charros (mexicanos). Dejen de ser mentirosos. Son un restaurante mexicano... mediocre pero netamente mexicano que esta tratando de pasarse como si fuera Colombiano. El chef ha de haber leído 100 años de soledad como su entrenamiento culinario y de ahi no paso. HORRENDO!

First, the one negative. There's a big neon sign in the window that says "Breakfast" and there was nothing breakfast related on the menu. Maybe it was a time of day thing, but we went at 11am on Saturday so I figured it would be available. Not a big deal. Menu has lots of options. We got the bistec al caballo (the closest thing to a traditional "breakfast" I saw as it was steak and eggs) and the enchiladas suizas with chicken. Both plates were excellent. Not a traditional steak, more like a thin piece of flank steak that had been braised until tender, but not quite to the point where it was falling apart under its own weight. It paired well with the fried eggs and the salsa criolla. All served over a bed of white rice that absorbed all of the flavors nicely. I added a chile toreado on the side and chopped it up with the rest of the salsa criolla on top of the steak to give it a bit of heat. Highly recommended. The enchiladas were also excellent. Chicken looked and tasted like it was cooked in the same sauce as the beef. The chicken was a bit dry but the cheese and green sauce that covered the enchiladas more than made up for it. Served with beans and a bit of rice with peas and carrots, everything on the plate was great. If you don't speak Spanish, you may have trouble communicating with the server. I can't speak for everyone there but I'm fairly certain the server working when we went did not speak English. But they are on DoorDash, so this is also an option if you want to order delivery or takeout. Sign on the door said they were BYOB, but we didn't ask what the restrictions were or if there was any additional charge for this. It looked like they had a good selection of aguas frescas as well.

Original owner is no longer there and the new owner provide very poor service and the food is not the same, fried food are over cook, rice is dry, they didn't include beans in the paisa dish, the sauces are expired and sour. Extremely sad and disappointing
