I currently work at MD Anderson, but in my younger days, Methodist Hospital was my first big boy employer. One thing about that hospital that I miss is their variety of food options other than the hospital cafeteria. Miller's Cafe is located on the 1st floor of the Scurlock Towers. If you have a doctor's appointment, you are likely going to be in this tower. You can smell the wonderful aromas from the second floor even. I would treat myself to a meal here especially on the weekends when it was mainly an employee eating spot. On the weekdays, you will for sure run into a lunch and dinner rush. The house are limited to 8 hours on the weekdays and 5 hours on Saturday. You're not getting a burger from here on Sunday. I've been coming here for years and customer service is hit or miss depending on how busy it is. Odds are you either work at the hospital or are a patient at Methodist so you are already park. They do have other locations if you must have it otherwise. If you are looking for a quality, basic burger, Miller's is a good option. Don't get me wrong, they have options here, alot actually. It's just that it's slight variations from a regular hamburger. My go to is a regular bacon cheeseburger. It's a substantial burger as a single and they don't skimp on the bacon. It's topped with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mayo and mustard. It's all piled high on a poppy seed bun. Basic, but delicious. Reminds me of a homecooked burger. I like some of the fancy burgers you can get elsewhere too, but sometimes I want basic. Besides burgers, they have sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, chicken tenders and chili. The sides of regular fries and sweet potato fries are delicious, but their onion rings are outstanding, and I'm not even an onion ring guy. After all these years, I still like to take a nice stroll through the medical center and visit Miller's from time to time to get my old fashioned burger fix. I will be back.

No joke that this place is exactly the same for the past 20 or so years. They serve American food.... big fat burgers, frito pies, chicken strips, etc, all the food you shouldn't eat but will anyways. They mostly serve medical staff, patients and visitors to the hospital system in the Medical Center. Its not somewhere you are going to typically come if you aren't already in the med center. I know about the place, its a bit hidden inside the scurlock tower along the light rail line, 1st floor behind the elevators. I came from Hermann Park to check it out and was suprised its still here and looks exactly the same inside and out. The place does close early-ish, around 5pm I think.

I came here months back bc this used to be one of my favorite burger places before 2015. However, my last togo order consisting of a Cheeseburger with Onion Rings was pretty much awful. The onion rings were crunchy, fresh and tasty, but the burger patty was very under-seasoned and just not good quality. I don't know if it's new cooks, ownership or both, but it was very disappointing.

Always loved eating here and the burgers growing up.... Came today in the medical center for lunch very disappointed the Pattie's were paper thin frozen not thick and fresh/ homemade as I remember and prices are higher. I know beef has gone up and the increase but don't cheat your customers of the quality they they are accustomed to. Why is a BLT $10!!!!! More than a burger

Super convenient lunch spot as it's in the hospital I work in! We've come here multiple times and I have always enjoyed their food! It's fresh and made to order. They get super busy at lunch rush -but they do take phone orders for faster pick up. Super affordable for what you get. It's def more on the heavy side for lunch lol but if you're hungry it's a great spot!

We came to this restaurant after a family member had finished tests at the Methodist hospital. The reviews looked good on the Yelp site so we stopped by around 4:45, after noticing on their website they were open until 6 but their sign on the door showed they closed at 5! When we showed up at 4:45pm they were happy to serve us and said don't worry that they would be there for awhile as they needed to clean up anyway. I got the double burger with bacon and onion rings and I must say that was a delicious burger and the onion rings tasted homemade!

Juicy burgers and crispy onion rings. What else can you ask for? This place has been here for the 12 years that I've visited. It may be older. It says it's been around since 1980. They've also got the vegetarian Beyond Burgers! Thats a plus in my book.

So good! Burgers are big and tasty. The fries are good. They aren't super fast but it's usually packed. But it's worth the wait. They take their time with the burgers and they are very very good.
