Aside from the potato and egg tacos that were inedible due to being over salted, everything was pretty okay. Barbacoa taquitos were great ---not too fatty or greasy. Corn tortillas are mini sized so get at least four if that is all you're ordering. Pupusa was very filling with carne, frijoles, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. I ordered a plain pupusa and think I was given a sope. Bacon and egg tacos on flour were small, but tasty. Three flour tacos was enough for a light breakfast. Price is great to make me come back again. Hopefully next time the cook will be more careful with the salt.

I've passed by Mister Tucan at least 2-3 times a month for the last year and not sure why I haven't stopped in before. I'm guessing it's due to when craving tacos, I've had a reliable taco truck on Lockwood closer to the hospital I work at and it's just been my go-to. But on a visit to the post office yesterday (3/22), which is a block down from Tucan, I decided to stop by and grab something for "dinner". As I walked up to the window, I was immediately greeted by an energetic young lady that seemed eager to whip something up for me! I explained it was my 1st time and she gave me time to review the menu. After reviewing the yummy looking photos and asking a few questions I decided on the Torta Cubana. (she speaks English/Spanish and you can tell in her tone she is confident in her cooking) Unfortunately, I didn't take pics of the Cubana as this thing was LOADED. I was planning to take them when I ate it at home for dinner (I had lunch 1.5 hours before ordering). But as I returned to the office, I decided to inspect and take a bite. I did, put it away and minutes later I was pulling it out to have another bite or two. Put away and repeat several times and next thing you know my container was empty! The Cubana is as equally flavorful as it is loaded. Today, I didn't pack a lunch and already knew I was going to try out Tucan again. This time I phoned my order in and it was ready within the 7 mins it took me to get there. I ordered #24 Gringas (although plural only comes with one) and a #17 Torta Mexicana. The Gringa was filled with chopped fajita and white cheese and was delish! I could easily eat 10 of them! The Mexicana wasn't as loaded as the Cubana the day before but was packed with flavor. Unfortunately the bottom bun was a soggy from the spread of beans and fajita meat juices by the time I returned to the office (Cubana was not). The top bun was crunchy outside/soft inside as a torta should be! Overall a delightful lunch and great back to back visits to Tucan. My only issue with Tucan, as with any restaurant/food truck, is a menu with no prices. I will be a repeat customer thanks to the great customer service and the tasty treats Tucan is putting out. Next up on my list is definitely the TucaBurguer!!!
