The pho broth is a little on the bland side but they offer fish sauce condiments on the table so you add it to the pho for more flavor. I enjoyed the mi quang. The restroom did not have a changing table, which most restaurants in Chinatown do not have changing tables. I hope this will change in the future.

I saw an Instagram post for this place and knew I had to stop by and try their signature Huế dishes from the Vietnamese northern region. We stopped in for a late lunch around 3 PM. We were told to seat ourselves anywhere so we picked a table with menus already set. There are photos of every menu item, definitely a bonus so there's no doubt about what each dishes are. For our party of three, we ordered: * Combo Appetizer Plate - comes with cha Huế, Bánh bèo, Bánh nậm, and Bánh bột lọc. All were good but was served last after we were halfway done with our entrees. * Bun Bo Ocean - served in a hot stone bowl with the noodles and veggies on the side. You just add the noodles as you go so they don't get soggy if you don't eat fast enough. Meats were tender, done just right. The soup was a little too sweet for our liking. * Bun Bo Original - exactly like the Bun Bo Ocean but with two less meat. * Com Ga Roti - this was my favorite dish here. Served with yellow rice and a super juicy chicken leg quarter. It was crispy on the outside and the dipping sauce went well with the chicken. I wish the rice was hot rather than lukewarm. This came wish a small bowl of soup on the side. There is a lack of service here. There was only one waitress working on a Sunday afternoon. We kept having to walk up to the counter to ask for things like status of the appetizer, the check, sauces, to-go containers. Aside from the service, the restaurant was clean and the food is solid. The prices are reasonable, cheaper than other places on Bellaire serving similar food. I will come back to try the pho and chicken salad.

This place is a hidden gem with plenty of seating and a clean environment, complemented by friendly staff. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese dishes from Da Nang, this restaurant has it all. This was our second visit. During our first trip, we ordered the Bun Bo Hue served in a hot stone bowl. On our second visit, we decided to try some new dishes. We started with Banh Beo as an appetizer, which was delicious, and the fish sauce was spot on. For the main course, we ordered a chicken specialty that came with rice, chicken salad, a side of soup, and dark meat chicken. Everything was flavorful and unique. My husband tried the Bun Rieu served in a hot stone bowl. Although he's not usually a fan of Bun Rieu, he ended up finishing the whole bowl, and the soup was served piping hot. We will definitely return to try more dishes!

Came with our family to try this restaurant and it was delicious. I never had any stone bowl noodle soup and I was very impressed. I ordered bun Bo noodle and the broth was flavorful. My noodle soup stayed hot for long time, they served with lot of fresh veggies. I would recommend this restaurant. The service was excellent, our waiter came to take our order quickly. I will definitely came try their pho next time I am in Houston.

We stopped by Da Năng Quán for their $9.99 per dish dine-in promo and ended up ordering pretty much everything on the menu. What really impressed us were the frog Quảng noodle soup, fried pork intestine, and chicken salad. The flavors were solid, and the price was very affordable. Service wasn't great, but given the promo and casual vibe, it was somewhat expected. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for authentic "Trung" food at a reasonable price.

Great customer service. They're so friendly and will answer all your questions enthusiastically. Com Ga Len Mam 10/10, go early because once they sell out, it's done for the day. First time having this dish and they were informing us on how to eat it and what sauces go best with it. Egg Coffee, pricey but in a huge cup. Rich enough that when you mix the egg in thoroughly, it's still strong in coffee flavor. Can't wait to come back!

Ocean Da Nang Quan may not look like much from the outside, but once you step through the doors to this restaurant you will be captivated by the colorful paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the smell of traditional Vietnamese food being prepared in the kitchen. Tucked away in a shopping center in Bellaire, Ocean Da Nang Quan serves traditional Vietnamese food including banh nam and noodle soups served with fresh vegetables. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, and, unfortunately, the restaurant appeared understaffed. Our server seemed over-worked and very stressed out. Despite our server not being in a good mood, the service was fast. We were seated right away, drinks came out quickly, and our food was not far behind. My partner (who was born in Vietnam) had nothing but good things to say about our experience. He thoroughly enjoyed every dish that we ordered, and he claimed that this was the most authentic Viet culinary experience he has had in Houston outside of his mother's kitchen! As someone who is much less familiar with traditional Vietnamese cuisine, I enjoyed certain dishes more than others. The appetizer - banh nam - was not my favorite. It was very fragrant as it was prepared in a banana leaf but otherwise had little real flavor of its own. Also, the consistency is very mushy, almost like a Vietnamese tamale. My entree, however, was delicious! I ordered the Mi Quàng Ga - a noodle soup with turmeric chicken. This dish was filling, flavorful, and topped with crunchy peanuts which complimented the flavors of the chicken and noodles well. Avoid wearing white if you plan to order this dish as the turmeric will stain your clothing! My partner ordered the Ocean beef noodle soup and sang its praises throughout the whole meal. Our drinks were also very tasty. I ordered the Coconut Kumquat Dua Tac. At first, I felt the coconut really overpowered the taste of the drink; however, as I continued to drink it, the flavors started to blend well. Overall, this was a great dining experience! I will definitely go back to Ocean Da Nang Quan. Side note: ALLERGY WARNING! Many traditional Vietnamese dishes are prepared with peanuts. The restaurant even has warning signs posted.

We came in during lunch on Saturday with 15 people and were able to get a seat within less than 30 minutes. The staff was great. Service was really good. Ambiance was cute with lateens overhead. The owner put effort into the decor. Food was a 3/5 star. I wanted to love it because it has all of my fave Viet regional food. But the broth in the bun Bo was meh. Pho broth was ok. Probably the best dish. Got mi Quãng (shrimp and chicken variety) and it was not good. The noodle was very mushy and broke apart. The ong choy chicken salad dressing was way too sweet. For the price, I would give it 4 stars for $9 menu.
