Just a major no for me. Not sure what about the bakery is "Parisian". They had no croissants, not one. Of all the options from butter to almond to chocolate croissants, none in stock. First red flag. Coffee, looked like something setup in the back of a gas station on Route 66. It was coffee, just couldn't tell what type. Folgers? Decaf? Bold roast? Who knows, just drink it - $1.50 was steep for this dark, mystery substance. I beelined to the smoothies. At least a fruit smoothie should make this trip worth my while. I got the soursop smoothie - $4.25. The color was white, milky, but soupsop is thick white milky in appearance. I left after spending $6.75 in that place, not sure how it added up to that. Later, first sip of my soursop smoothie and all I could taste was MILK. Blehhh lactose intolerant defense kicked in. I called the bakery, "does the smoothie have milk?" She added matter-of-factly "all smoothies have milk..." DUH! Well, that's a first for me. All the soursop I have eaten in my life, to embark on my first soursop smoothie experience and be let down like this. Why did I think I would be getting a fresh blend of soursop? Why didn't they point out dairy inclusion? What did I expect? Service, I can't blame the lady, it's a small Vietnam sand-which shop in a strip center. She's doing the best she can with what she has. She was quiet and observant without much to add. This is not a bakery. It's not Parisian. There is no coffee. I will never come back here again. It likely has a niche of clientele- but serves me none.

A very good array of delicious bakery goods. All fresh baked. The ambience was very nice, very clean and the displays made every item tempting. Bought more than I intended, but it all disappeared when I got home. Service was good, very accommodating. Prices were acceptable given the quality.

Not to be confused with the Parisian Fakery, which is a surgical office located in the French Capital, which I'm sure Barbie and I will be interested in. This is the wonderful little Vietnamese bakery, a key part of Vietnamese Town, and it doesn't get frequented as often as others perhaps, because it's right by the Westpark Tollway. It's next door to the gas station we frequent, so we stopped in here for a sandwich on a couple of occasions, and they are excellent!

I was impressed to learn this week that this place has been around for 10+ years. And no wonder! The bread once toasted is heavenly flaky, and that in turn turns into one amazing bbq pork banh mi. So good! Not a fan of their croissants, but I do love their banana Q. Not sure how a Filipino recipe (toron) made it into a Vietnamese bakery, but no complaints. Think flaky dough egg roll with plantains inside with syrupy sweetness and just the right amount of oil to zap it all. Amazing. $10 for two sandwiches and two banana egg rolls? Also amazing. Git sum!

Low key spot that I've been coming to for 3 consecutive days! Their Banh Mi are so delicious!! The best part about it is that they are only $3.50!!! There is a lady that works there for 9 years and she is the sweetest person ever. They have Fruit smoothies, different juices, fresh or canned juice, different meats in sandwiches, variety of croissants, and cakes! This spot I would never even looked without word by mouth! I'm now a client!

Wow. Their pate chaud is chefs kiss! The flan is lovely and the sandwiches was delicious.. oh and their pork rinds are the best I've ever had. They didn't miss with their deliciousness.

I've been coming here for almost 12 years. They make fresh french bread in-house and it's made daily. For $1.00 you can get 5 small rolls or 3 big ones. It's the same french bread you eat with your banh mi (vietnamese sandwich). If you like vietnamese sandwiches, they have a deal where you can buy 5 and you get one free. Make sure though when you're taking the sandwiches to go, ask them to put the veggies on the side. There are four other things that I love from this eatery: pate Chaud, almond croissants, vanilla cream puffs & fresh sugar cane juice. It's a nice little hidden gem next in the SW part of chinatown.

A much, much, much smaller location compared to the one on Bellaire (Yes, I emphasized on "small" because it's THAT much smaller) and they don't sell as many pastries, or desserts as the other location. However, I frequent this location for mainly for the purpose of getting the BBQ pork banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich). Just as the BBQ pork banh mi at the Bellaire location is awesome, his location offers the same awesomeness but at a slightly higher price ($3.50 vs $3.00). Why? I'm not so sure, but since this place is a lot closer to me, I'm willing to pay that extra $0.50 for the convenience and the time saving. I also get their egg rolls which is also being sold at a slightly higher price ($0.75 vs. $0.50). But I think the higher price tag is justified because the size of the egg roll is bigger than the other location. The sugar cane juice = so good. You should try it if you've never had sugar cane juice. If you like sweet stuff, you'll love it!

Being a native Haitian I know all too well about sugar canes. I grew up on those bad boys. I have fond memories of my dad carefully peeling off the bark and cutting up the sugar canes in child friendly bite size pieces. Sooooo when I heard that this place serve fresh sugar cane juice, my mouth instantly watered. I ordered a small just in case I wouldn't be a fan...and boy were my instincts correct! Initially it tasted salty, as if they didn't cut off the bark of the sugar cane and juiced the cane WITH the bark. After the initial shock of the salty flavor, the after taste resembles sweet sugar canes. Rather disappointing, so much so, I couldn't finish the juice. Sad face
