Great patio bar tucked back on Patterson near the Heights on Houston. Great place to get the pups out. Plenty of great drinks including thc options for those abstaining from the sauce which is what I went for! One of my favorite happy hour spots for sure!

I've been to Patterson about 3-4 times now. The first was with my best friend when it first opened about 4-5 years ago. It was busy then and can still get busy on trivia/steak nights. It makes for a full parking lot. There's gravel lots added in the grassy area next to the concrete lot. You can get towed with the street parking. If you live nearby, you can also walk the trail along the bayou to get here the back way. I've done that trail from near Taylor and I-10 to here. The place itself is a cool treehouse concept. The stairs can be a little steep. The hazard tape is peeling, and the painted stairs can be slippery when raining. Be careful going down to the food truck or walking up/down to the top level. The top level has great views of the city/downtown. There's indoor seating with A/C and patio seating on all levels. When it rains though, inside is best. I've tried a variety of their cocktails and mocktails, and they're all pretty good. Bartenders are always friendly. Easy to place an order at the bar. I wish they had NA options from Ritual and Seedlip or something other than juices for their mocktails. Trivia nights are fun and busy. All size groups participate. Steak night is pricey compared to other Heights locations who offer it. It's about $10 more because the steak and side are separate, whereas other places give you the steak and 2 sides in the $20-25 range. Steak night here offers more variety though. You can either get ribeye, filet, salmon or shrimp brochette ranging from $17-28. Sides are $4. It's served by Culinary Creations by MER food truck. The steak and potatoes are flavored so well. I had the 14 oz ribeye because they ran out of 12 oz. It was a little hard to cut with plasticware. My friends' filets were easier to cut. For some reason, every time I try to upload the steak photo, it doesn't stay posted here. I get that it's from a food truck, but other food truck photos are posted on the Patterson page. You should see how great the steak looks. Patterson is a cool, chill place that everyone young and old can enjoy. The clientele was varied as all enjoy a good drink, food and trivia/board games.

Not a bad bar or lounge area. Parking is good. They have food truck outside that's different every time so check their schedule. They have a lot of interesting areas decorated, to chill. Bartenders and the servers do a good job at getting your drinks to you quickly. We went during a slow time and there was barely anyone there. Hoping it was going to be a lot more lit.

You've been warned that this is a Philadelphia Eagles bar with the Eagles flag and swag displayed outside and inside. So if you root for any other NFC east teams, you may be met with some friendly hostility (depending how the birds are performing). With that said, the set up of the place has indoor high tops, lounging tables and couches, and outdoor seating with soft chairs/couches and tvs playing. There's also an upstairs area that gives an overview of the surroundings. As with most Houston bars in the Heights area, the focus is seasonal crafted cocktails. For the winter, there's a couple of good ones such as the grinch (cucumber, lime, mint, tequila) which is refreshing. The pumpkin ol fashion is also a popular one; sadly they're always sold out of it whenever I try to order it. Bartenders are attentive and do a solid job getting your drinks to you. As for food, there is a food truck outside with a rotation schedule on their website. Reminds me a lot of other bars in the Heights area with the set up, parking situation, and location. Not a bad bar.

Patterson Park was an unexpected cool game watching spot. First, this is a Philadelphia Eagles bar so in game day expect there to a bunch of Green and black talk s$&itting go on. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. I sat at the bar, but these plenty of seating everywhere with three stories to choose from. They had a decent cocktail selection for a sports bar. Pro tip- either come belly full, watch sports and drink/ or not. Or be open minded to choose from the few food tricks that they have on site. Not sure if they rotate them or not. There's no kitchen in this establishment.

Came here back in December 2023, just before Christmas. The place was all decked out in Christmas cheer. Including Christmas trees, drinks, staff, and lights. Located on the white oak bayou trail. It was a pretty large group of Yelpers + other folks that came here for some fun casual day drinking and celebrate the holidays. Sort of an informal UYE. We started out by the bar on the first floor, but eventually, our group went up to the tree house to perch out. It wasn't a super clear day, so views of skyline were just ok. Parking - I easily found parking, but I was there very early, way before the crowd. I like that they have a designated lot. If i return, it would be during daylight hours again, so I don't have to fight to figure out parking outside of the lot. Drinks - I like that they had a festive drink menu. My first drink was "Mrs. Clause", probably my favorite of the 3. My second drink, French 76B, is not on the seasonal menu, but on there regular menu. I know this is a little nitpicky, but all the pics from the reviews it seemed like a darker shade of purple than mine. Almost like I had too much champagne and not enough gin/lemon, so it wasn't as well balanced. My third drink was back to the seasonal menu, "It's Giving", it was fine, not as good as the first. I think all the drinks would be worth it for happy hour. Service - was fine. Different bartenders each time I ordered downstairs on the first level. No one stood out, but no one ruined the vibe either. My first bartender did offer suggestions, which I appreciated. The crowd picked up the longer we stayed. I like that they had a water cooler upstairs in the tree house, so we didn't need to ask for it, self-serve. Tons of in and outdoor seating all over the establishment. I would say great for groups. Overall, I think our group had a good time. Would I come back? Sure, if friends suggested it again. But with the caveat of during the day for ease of parking, to enjoy the patio and its outdoor activities.

This is one of the dog friendly places I researched. One of my favorite places. We always go early to mid-afternoon so we've never encountered the parking or crowding problems others have mentioned. The employees have always been cordial. Not overly friendly but not standoffish either. They let you have your space but don't pester you. We take a dog or two. Sit up on the second floor where there's usually a breeze. We get the vegetation from the bayou behind and the spectacular view of downtown to the fore. Bartender lady makes a perfect Campari spritz. BF is not as picky as I am about what to drink but again is also harder to please, does this make sense? So I'll usually grab him a Crawford bock. Food trucks almost always have something I can eat (I'm celiac) and are almost always presenting tasty fare. If not, I can have french fries. If they have tacos, I've hit the jackpot. Sometimes there are other doggos to say hello to as well as their owners. Love this place. I think I'll go there tomorrow afternoon. Here's hoping there's a breeze.

I was visiting some friends in the Heights and we decided to finally check out Patterson Park. I waited till the hype died down before coming in. Like all reviews prior, parking was a little tricky even though we did find a spot in the lot. They do offer a discount if you bike in. I'm guessing that is their way to alleviate the parking issues and get people to return. Walking up, it really does looks like a tree house in the woods. Pretty cool. Customer service was so so. It took awhile to be acknowledged at the bar so we found seating outside and got help from our friendly, but slow waitress. They have multiple levels with seating. I'm not sure if their is service on the bottom level or does one have to go to the bar and order. The first level also had fun lawn games to play. It was too hot for that nonsense when we went. The second level, which I would say is the main level had a huge patio as well as a very nice inside bar. There is a third level with a nice deck as well. The patios are spacious and dogs are welcomed. I had the Bark Park Punch which was a frozen vodka or rum drink I believe. Flavor wise it was ok, but it definitely wasn't blended enough as I kept getting chunks of ice in every sip. My friends had similar situations with their frozen drinks, all of which were different. That made me not want to order anything else for the night. Overall, this is a pretty cool bar that I believe has potential to be great. If the parking, customer service and consistency of drinks improve, I would consider coming back.

Atmosphere is cool and perfect place to watch a game. We enjoyed our visit with a nice cool weather today. It's mostly outside but half of it has roof over. Also, dog friendly. Food seems to be only by a food truck. Has full bar. A little loud with the game and being outside, but wasn't bad for a game day.
