We had a wonderful dining experience. The staff was very courteous and knowledgable. Our meal was delicious. I had the grilled trout and my husband had the salmon. Nice wine selection. We will definitely be back.

I went for a business dinner in a private room at the Post Oak. I had low expectations because of the reviews, and they were far exceeded. The filet was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and actually really reasonably priced. The bread pudding dessert with ice cream was surprisingly good too. This place was a pleasant surprise. I'll need to go back soon for a date night.

We had dinner there last night and I have found my new favorite Resturant. They haven't been open very long and I was surprised to see how everything was so smooth. The waitstaff were attentive, food delicious and surroundings just perfect for a night out, or lunch with my friends. It Is a little off the beaten track which means plenty of parking and quiet surroundings. Worth finding! My out of town guests will be going there. Just right for a nice quiet visit And excellent food.

I am not sure what has happened, but my husband and I were the only diners in the restaurant at 7:30 on a Friday night. Later a group went into the wine room. It was bizarre. My Manhattan was shaken, no, no! Food was tasty and presented well. Crab cake was good, fish was ok, steak was good as were the sides. Limited wine list and they did not have the one we ordered. The waiter had very poor English. I thought he was a bus boy, but her waited on us and served us. He was pleasant. I sadly think that this once fine restaurant has limited time left.

Post Oak Grill reminded me of old fashioned, traditional "hotel food." The ambiance of the restaurant was a little dated, and the food was just ok overall. We didn't hate it, but we didn't love it either. There's free parking in the garage at least, but walking in through the back entrance is a little awkward because there's not a host stand in the back so you enter and feel kind of lost until a server is nice enough to help you. We came here for HRW lunch on a Wed around 12:45pm, it was very crowded, but we still somehow managed to get a table immediately. $20 for 3 courses is a steal in my book value wise. But overall the food was underwhelming to be honest. 1st course we tried their creamy pepper bisque, caesar salad, and mushroom ravioli. Portions are small, but the pepper bisque was the best tasting option. 2nd course we tried their barbeque trio, chicken scallopini, and their slow roasted pork tenderloin. All the entrees were just meh overall. Typical "hotel food" that consists of a protein, mashed potatoes, and simple roasted vegetables. Everything was good just nothing to be impressed by. Portions are relatively small. 3rd course we tried their carrot cake, key lime pie, and supposed to be mango sorbet. I say supposed to be mango sorbet because it was actually a lemon/lime sorbet instead of mango as advertised. Surprisingly though, the citrus sorbet was the best thing out of all 3 courses we tried. The sorbet reminded me of a very tart frozen lemonade, it was refreshing. The key lime pie and carrot cake were ok, but they were the thinnest slices possible portion wise. Service was good though. They took our order and food came out surprisingly fast. My only WARNING is that they don't honor the Yelp check in offer for a free iced tea or soda. In fact, the manager who's been there for 25 years, and the head chef were confused when I showed it to them. They thought it was a scam and told me no. Which I was ok with, they just made it sound like I was trying to scam them out of a miniscule $2.50 iced tea. I didn't really care about the drink, I just thought it was odd how they handled the situation. Would I come back? Ehh maybe.

We came here for a work lunch in one of their back private rooms - I thought the service was quite good. Our waitress was very friendly and did a good job with keeping everyone happy considering we had a pretty large group (15 people). When it came to the food, it was fine - nothing spectacular, but generally plated nicely. I had the grilled chicken sandwich that was supposed to come with cheese, bacon, and avocado - the avocado pieces provided barely added up to one slice. Disappointing for the price. Parking - valet out front or park in the attached garage; they will validate.

My spouse and I, as well as 2 other parties, all had reservations for 5 pm. We all saw the the restaurant was closed. Lights off and parking lot empty. I called several times and no answer. We all waited until 5:20 before giving up. Since they didn't update their hours anywhere, we're now stuck trying to find a place that isn't packed on a Saturday night and can't find any restaurants that are taking people before 7:30pm. Why take reservations when you're closed? Really unprofessional.

It's long - but worth saying. Do better Post Oak Grill. Made a Thanksgiving lunch reservation for myself at the Post Oak Grill. The reception area was crazy busy, honestly, as expected. The seating was running about 30-45 minutes behind, mainly because other patrons were lingering due to the inclement weather. No problem. And honestly i would say 98% of the people waiting were chill with fun interaction amongst ourselves - the hostess was overwhelmed, again, understandable. A gentleman came in after me, with the same RSVP time, and mentioned his name had not been previously added via his online reservation - he had to call to confirm his RSVP. He suggested if i RSVP'd on line i might want to confirm mine. When i approached the hostess desk - letting her know WHEN SHE HAD A SEC - i wanted to confirm i was on the list for 1:30. She told me, "I'm still working through the 1:00 reservations, when i get to the 1:30 reservations I'll call your name." I told her I didn't want to wait another 30+minutes if my name wasn't on the list. She confirmed i was on the list...for a party of 4. I told her i was a party of 1. This was merely for her benefit for seating purposes. When she later called my name - party of 1 - she told me i could grab a seat in the lounge, pointing in a general direction, and moved on. I asked 2 waitstaff where exactly the lounge was located. It was in the bar. Literally, a seat AT THE BAR. No table service, no place setting, no nothing. Bar service. Ok...I was willing to give this a try. Got a plate at the buffet, sat down, had to ask for silverware and a napkin, and waited...waited...waited...then a fork and knife was sat down next to me, on top of the nasty bar. So...for $60 pp, this was the privilege / service i was going to pay for. Nope. Understood POG could care less if i was a paying customer or not, but as a "courtesy" i let the hostess know i was leaving as i did not appreciate being banished to the bar because i was a party of one, with no table service, and for the privilege of paying $60+ for lunch. She literally had the audacity to tell me "our tables are not set for less than parties of one" - literally said that. PERHAPS...JUST PERHAPS...update your website to state you'll only be serving a buffet and not off the menu AND you do not want SINGLE parties making a reservation. Note - a) when I initially walked in, i walked past two, two seat tables, both SOLELY occupied by men, b) no where on their website did it indicate this was a buffet only lunch, and c) no where on their website did it say no parties under 2. This restaurant is a long standing establishment in the area - utterly disappointing in their treatment.
