No towels in the room. Why? Housekeeping had no idea! Clean yes! But towels really needed them.

Omgosh I wish I had read all these reviews before booking this nightmare of a hotel. I have always stayed at Quality hotels because some franchises are great and very clean! I'm guessing it depends on the Property owner and the general manager. This hotel is nasty. From the moment we walked in. It reeked of marijuana, and people were just hanging out in the lobby, appearing to be nonguests. it was very unsettling. Then we get to the room assigned to us and it was a disaster. It stunk like wet clothes and mold. it was very muggy. i went to turn up the AC and it was the most disgusting AC unit I've ever seen. It had zero knobs and it was so rusted and had mold. the Carpet right below the unit was wet where it had been leaking. i went to the front desk to speak to the attendant and she said they were at capacity and could not provide us with another room. I asked for a refund so I could go elsewhere and she said that was not an option. I asked to speak to the GM or if she could call him and she said she could text him. She texted someone and then came back and said since he was not there she could not issue me a refund but that i could try Choice Hotels, which is who i booked through. after calling C.H. they asked me if I could ask the attendant to put me on check-out status and the attendant said if she did that it would refund me my money and she didn't have the authority to do that. But if I came back in the morning she assured me i would get a refund. so I left to another hotel. the next day i find out that NIck Desai, the GM would not be at work until Tuesday. So if i could call back that day it would be great. Here i am Wednesday march 8th and i have yet to hear from them. The hotel and the management are terrible. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Especially if you have health issues because mold and rust are health hazards and MGT doesn't not seem to care about the well-being of their customers. I will never stay at this hotel again. General Manager is Nick Desai and the Property is owned by Shree Raj Prabhu.

I'm giving two stars because the staff at this hotel were very kind, helpful and attentive. Awesome customer service. However the hotel is in need of repair. I booked through choice hotels, got a good deal, and I guess you get what you pay for. We took the stairs the entire weekend, not that the exercise wasn't needed but the elevator worked when we checked In on Friday and was out of order from that point on until we checked out on Monday. It wouldn't have been too bad if we didn't have to worry about tripping going up and down due to the torn carpet on the stairs. The nasty sofa pillow was a bit much. They literally flipped it over as it we wouldn't see it when accessing the sofa bed. The continental breakfast was good. And again the lovely staff person did not kick us out when we showed up for breakfast late.

WOW! This so called hotel was a real dump. I was expecting a caulk out line from a murder in our room. Very seedy, terrible location. The carpet had stains, spills etc. NOTHING was clean, you were actually afraid to touch anything. We stayed, because even if we could have asked to leave we couldn't get our money back, we already paid. Nothing advertised was available, especially breakfast, which I probably wouldn't have eaten anyways it was so gross. Fridge in room didn't cool, the tub was some what clean. Sheets and comforter had burn holes in them, table tops were dirty. Outlets were coming out of the walls. I believe this place is a "rent by the hour" or "smoke crack till the wee hours of the morning" type of hotel. Not for families! Beware! The whole place smelled of cigarettes and mold. Ice machine on the 2nd floor didn't work, you had to go down stairs to that ice machine, which was dirty. The floor in our room was "soft", it felt like you could fall through to the first floor, like it had flooded before and the carpet made bare feet black. Shoes were a requirement to just walk around the room! DO NOT let the entrance to this hotel with its spiral staircase, faux chandlers and ceiling painted like the Venetian in Las Vegas, it is a certified dump and not sure why its still standing. Hot tub was ice cold. Towels were rough and probably not disinfected. The health dept should be called. DO NOT STAY HERE, I was so disappointed and mad, ruined our stay in North Houston to stay in complete trash.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, the energy here is very dark. The manager Nick he has no compassion empathy or respect for his guest or employees. He is nor humble or welcoming when it comes to being a hotel manager. On many occasions I have seen him be very rude to customers when they are asking him direct questions. He expects employees not to be cordial to guest that stay and live on site, I understand not getting too acquainted with them however it is only polite and caring to speak when you see someone, as well as ask them how their day is, if they need anything and if they are OK. I feel when you make guest feel like they are at home and like you are family it will only make them want to stay longer and feel safe there but when you cannot speak to them when you see them and you can only check them in and check them out, hand them towels take their towels that is not so comfortable when you're trying to live somewhere or stay for a long period of time. When people ask to speak to the manager he will just sit in his office and ask for a message and then still not reach out and call them, even when they are at the counter very upset he will leave his employees there and not help them de-escalate the situation at all, when customers are calling to speak with him he will place them on hold and never answer them again. If I could Rate this place a -5 stars I would. They allow for their employees to sleep in their blocked rooms & he will accompany free rooms for employees for no reason but when a guess ask for a late check out he will not provide them with one. Please stay far away from this hotel.

Upon arrival with my service animal, we were told there would be a $15 per night fee. After we said he was a service animal, she asked for proof or "papers". There's no paperwork required according to government ADA law, that was the first and worst mistake. Next, our room wreaked of cigarettes. We got a different room but with 2 smaller beds which was also unfortunate. Next came the vending machines. All of them sold out, so we had to leave the comfort of our room for drinks. Then came the rattling a/c unit which was loud enough to hear in my sleep! Lastly, upon leaving the room the next morning, we noticed a crushed beer can near the room window. Obviously not ours and when we told the desk lady, she never apologized. On a good note, outstanding waffles. But the croissants and bagels tasted like blueberries.

Granted I had a late, last minute check-in 6:30/7pm I was told the pool was closed when trying to swim at 8:08pm. The attendant Kaylyn(?) said that the pool closed at 8:00pm. I asked what time the pool will open the next day she said 12:00pm. The sign clearly stated 10:00am-10:00pm. The trash in the hallway remained overflowing until around 10:00. Kaylyn(?) never left her post! Ever! Even sighing when she had to buzz me or my family out of the building. I never felt more unwelcome. I walked out to my truck in the morning and noticed that a door had been propped open. When I pointed it out to my husband he said the door was like that the night before so a group of people could go in and out freely. Now what's the point of having the buzzer at the front entrance when the back door is open all night for anyone to come in and kick door a motel resident. Breakfast time came quick and guess who's on shift? You guessed it, Kaylyn(?). We showed up about 8:05am and she was meeting us asking if we wanted any orange juice or oatmeal before she put it up because breakfast ended at 8:00am. The sign said 9:00am. And yes that is all that was out for breakfast oatmeal and orange juice. As I was passing through the lobby trying to load my belongings in my car around 10:00 because why would I stay until 12:00(check out) when the whole reason I picked the motel was for my daughter to enjoy the pool and she wasn't going to let that happen. I could over hear Kaylyn(?) and her coworker having a afterwork conversation including their loud profanity. And they didn't even stop talking or acknowledge me as I walked through. Once again not welcomed. I can't believe that Quality Inn has their name attached to this place. Good price if they actually provide what they are selling. Definitely false advertisement. Better than some of the other motels in the area but if you see Kaylyn(?) at the front desk I'd advise driving a little further.

So, yesterday was the best stay every at the Hyatt but today is the worst stay every. This morning before I went to run an errand I decided to make my mom a plate and take it to the room for her: 2 sausage links, one scoop of eggs, one biscuit with some white gravy on top, and a waffle. I myself had only had 2 sausage links and a little eggs. As I was trying to figure how to manage these 3 plates the service lady said "I could not eat in my room". I said ok and threw my mom's food in the trash. Now, this lady said I couldn't eat my in room and yet their is a microwave and refrigerator in the room. And I told her before I threw the food away they should say something, so she pointed to a sign and said I could speak to the manager if I had a problem. So, now this is where the problem comes in. When I came back I took a picture of the sign and read it. It does not say you can't eat it your room it says you can't take the hotel's breakfast from the area, in an effort to control waste. Now, when got I back from my errands I had to hurry my mom up to get her to breakfast area. (I got back at 8, and breakfast ends at 9am). So, as we were in enter breakfast area I was telling the old woman (mom, lol ) how I made her a plate and had to throw it away and it was the stupidest shit I ever heard of because they say it's to combat waste but I just had to waste a whole plate of food. Well, the TV was playing and it wasn't like I was whispering when this lady came out of nowhere asking me if I have a problem. So the way she did it was rude. (Not, excuse me mama I heard your dissatisfaction, I'm the manager sorry to hear your are having issues is there something I could do?) Nope, she just rolled up on me and said excuse me do you have a problem, I'm the manager. Since, she was rude I said no "I don't have a problem, I will let you know if I have a problem." So, the manager lady stayed right next to us in the breakfast area as I continued to tell my mom about their stupid rule and how I had to throw the food away (because the lady interrupted what I was saying to my mom). So, now she right next to us and she interrupted my conversation with my mom again, asking if I have a problem . Now, I have a problem, told her if I have a problem I would let her know, but I can voice my opinion and say whatever I want to my mom. So, now she is accusing me of yelling, (which I wasn't) and told me "I'm going to have ask you to leave and I'm calling the police." And she kept saying because we have cameras. And I told her call the police (I'll be right here). I'm glad they have cameras too because all they will see is me talking to mom and that rude manager interrupting my conversation, by interjecting "Do you have a problem". (Infringing upon my freedom of speech.) So as she walked off, presuming that she's calling the police, I made my mom another plate and another waffle and sat there hoping the police would show up. But they didn't, because I wasn't doing anything wrong, I was just complaining to my mom, while the rude manager kept addressing me (which I was trying to ignoring her, because I was doing anything wrong). She just didn't want me complaining in earshot of the other customers, so she was trying to intimidate me into silence. This is also the only hotel I been to that makes you pay a $50 deposit when you check in, after your already paid for you room, it takes about 5 days to get it back. The room also didn't have toilet paper in the restroom, I had to go to the front desk and get some. And as mentioned earlier you can't take the breakfast out of the breakfast area, but they don't tell you this when you check in and the sign is posted in the breakfast area, but it's not obvious. The manager I encountered was unprofessional and very rude. I should have got her name, but she was a red-headed Hispanic lady. My mom was so upset with the way that the lady was talking to me that she had a confrontation with her, also well. My mom (and elderly lady what health issues) pretty much went over to the counter told that manager that she didn't like the way that she was speaking to her daughter, she was unprofessional, and that the customer is always right and that she wanted the number to corporate. But told my mom don't worry about it it's not worth my time will never return to the Quality Suites again we'll stick with places like a Marriott.
