Very disappointed in the Marriott brand. a horrible experience. It has no hot water, the water is barely warm and I've called three times to see if they could check it out and no one has come, and they keep saying it's just fine and I told him that it's not. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I booked here because it had a tub and I needed a hot water. Also, the tub is severely stained, and the paint is coming off. I have attached pictures. Also, The plug of the tub completely comes out when you pull it. I attached the picture of this too. Finally, the air conditioning unit knocks incessantly. The door has a huge gap underneath and doesn't shut properly Disappointed

This is the most ghetto motel I have ever stayed at and I would give it a zero if I could. Unfortunately, I was unable to cancel and get my money back upon arrival and the pictures look nothing like the roach trap. The area is not safe, the rooms, are outdated, and the staff is terrible. On top of that they will make up bogus charges that hit your credit card without your knowledge. As a longtime Bonvoy member,, I was extremely disappointed in this property and it just proves how far Marriott's quality has fallen!!!

Roaches all over. Very noisy ice maker that you can't turn off. Allowed a bus to enter the property bag got stuck and caused a ruckus till 3am. The extra star is bc the breakfast wasn't terrible and the staff was nice.

This hotel needs major renovation! There were roaches inside the dishwasher, under the sink and tub!!! The room door needs weather stripping underneath! The tub plug does not work and the toaster has roaches under it every morning! It was disappointing! We like staying at a Marriott but this one is real let down!

I stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott Houston by The Galleria and found roaches in my room. I immediately reported it and was moved to another room, but the damage was done -- I felt completely uncomfortable for the rest of my stay. I reached out to Marriott Customer Care, and they acknowledged my complaint, promised a response within five business days, and then did nothing. It's been weeks with no update, resolution, or refund. This is a clear sanitation issue. I'm now concerned I could have brought pests home with me -- roaches multiply fast, and this level of neglect is unacceptable. I've since learned that another guest had the same issue, which makes me question how seriously they're taking this. I won't be staying at this property again and expected much more from Marriott.

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at when it comes to customer service. I was double charged for my room. When I called the front desk to inquire as to why, the guy I spoke to could not answer my questions and kept saying I'm not understanding what you're asking me. And yes I speak perfect English. Then a hold was placed twice on my account for a different amount than what I was told by this same guy and he could not explain why. Then I was told the hold would be released only to have $50 of it released from $230. When I called the front desk again, the same guy answered and refused to speak to me and said I could call at 8 am in the morning and speak to a GM. I was never rude to this man as I am a strong believer that you treat people how you want to be treated. I also work in customer service so to be rude is not in my nature. I wasn't asking difficult questions. I simply wanted to know why I was charged twice and why a 2nd hold was placed on my account as well as why a different amount was placed on hold than what I was originally told.... I will never again be staying here...

This was the worst hotel quality/value experience I've had in recent memory. It's worth sharing to start that the staff was friendly and came across as wanting to be helpful. A perceived major problem for the team was they work at a deficient property that is in dire need of investment. We visited during a very high demand time, where all hotels in the area were on surge pricing. Being one of the only hotels with availability in the Marriott network, for the price we paid, we knew we were in for some quality concessions. However, the property still fell well short of our expectations. Well short. The first impression as we drove up was the closest vehicle entrance gate was completely out of order with orange cones blocking vehicle access. Beyond setting an aesthetic tone, the failure created an awkward coming/going for any car trying to exit as another was trying to enter. We saw this more than once. From there things just got worse. Once in the room, the living room TV did not function. We tried unplugging/plugging back in, checking remote batteries, etc. Next step to call the front desk was thwarted because the living room phone was torn out of the wall and on the ground. Carpets were vacuumed but very old and stained. Keeping with the stained theme, the couch in the living room, that is supposed to double as a pullout bed, was stained all over and missing springs for the pullout so it couldn't function (properly) as a bed for the second guest. It barely functioned as a couch because the missing springs made the couch cushions sink once sat on. Something must have happened to the pullout couch frame because it was bent and did not sit properly. We stayed during winter so the significant gap at the front door made the room consistently 64F and also let all kinds of noise into the room. At one point during a lightning storm, moisture and leaves came into the room via the gap. The most prominent sound making it into the room was the front gate opening and closing all hours of the night because our room was located very close. The bathroom door opened awkwardly toward the toilet, leaving virtually no space for a person leaving the very small toilet/shower room, unless they hid behind the door while opening it. To top off the high level deficiencies, the WiFi was 'down' for most of our stay as well. The positives were few and very insignificant in comparison to the overall drawbacks. The property's proximity to the Galleria mall was good, the staff overall was friendly but seemed to have their hands tied and the water got hot quickly for sinks and showers. In the end, we will never stay at this property again and highly recommend you consider other options before booking. Again, this is a rating exclusively based on the property condition. I stay almost exclusively at Marriott properties, more than once in other Residence Inns. This one was by the far the worst in my experience.

With all the negative comments I am reading here Alex; in addition to my own terrifying experience, what are your concrete plans to remedy the poor condition your facility is in. I have asked for positive proof that the deadbolt in the room I stayed in has been repaired. I have not received any. Calming words are nice but just not enough.

The most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. The door would not secure. There were bugs in the room. There were stains on the bed cover. Various damage in the room. The shower water would not stop dripping. Front desk staff was in no way professional. What kind of standard is this for Marriott? When a person books a room a minimum standard should be safety. A dead bolt not locking the door for safety is not acceptable. (Tried 3 rooms all the same) Staff would not resolve the issue. No management on site to deal with the problem so I was penalized. For safety reasons I did not stay yet I was billed in full. Plus the next day they fraudulently billed my credit card some additional random charge. It is criminal charging a credit card for no reason. What kind of business practise is that? If this is the new Marriott standard I want no part of it.

The staff was unprofessional and unhelpful regarding late check-out, and they were quite dismissive about it. Additionally, the cleaners were noisy, and the walls are thin, leading to disturbances.
