Great venue. Was honor to be invited to ViVe realty Christmas party. Set up was great. Location has an upstairs and downstairs area. It also has a concert area, 2 Photo Booth location, tacos set up and much more. Bar area was visible and accessible.

Originally a bank in the 1920.'s. Now lobby a seating and stage. The vault backstage and dressing rooms. It closed as a venue in 1997 to be a wedding and private events hall and started hosting concerts again in. 2016 venue is great good acoustics. Came here to see a friends band play and did not even know this place existed. Great location and sound. It is white everywhere, so looks very "weddingy" but still a blast. Great crowd and STRONG drinks.

Last night KTSU 90.9 FM hosted its 2nd Annual Christmas Party. KTSU members got in free, non members $25.00. Live entertainment was Mary Griffin and DJ was Chilli Bill Smith. It's been years since I've attended anything at Rockefellers. The place is as I remembered it. Cozy, warm ambiance with great acoustics. A great place to bring a date for a good show. If you aren't a member of the station, I encourage you to become a member. It offers a diverse range of programming.

Would give it 0 stars if I could. Tickets said doors at 7 for Porter. No opener and main band ends up not coming on til 10 and we're told to move from our table on the balcony that we've been at for 2 hours. We move, but see that people start standing where we were previously sitting. End up going back and get told to move by some small-d*ck bouncer that's easily got 1 foot and 200 lbs on me. I explain the above and he yells "the band said move, now GO!" and laughs. I was respectful in the interaction up til that point. His reaction was uncalled for and just downright abhorrent. First time at this venue and won't be going back. Bartender was super friendly and attentive. Hope he leaves that place.

Went there for the recent skyrocket there one of my favorite party bands I try to see them when I come to Houston. Pros: clean club lots of parking options room to dance I think because there are two levels and people can spread it around. Cons: Sound was terrible and I think skyrocket is very diligent in doing their sound checks so there must be something out of whack with theAcoustics in that place. Ridiculous amount of wait time to get a drink was a major turn off.

This space is so beautiful, I fell in love with it upon first viewing on the interweb. My reception site search began about 14 months ahead of the big day and I used wedding magazines to find venues - they often have lists of vendors, including reception sites, grouped by location and include capacity and price ranges. I was looking for a place in a central location that wasn't a hotel or Kim Son ballroom for my inter-ethnic wedding reception seating ~150. Bonus points for being a historic site. We started off looking around downtown, but nothing quite fit or was a lil too small. So we moved outward and found Rockefeller Hall, booking it in May for the following April. It was initially a bank in the early twentieth century and later became a concert hall. The pictures on the website are an accurate representation of how the space looks. The office is located is what was the vault and the original marble flooring remains, revealed in part as the dance floor. There is a split-level which I thought added to the uniqueness and charm. It comfortably fits up to about 300 people. The space is run by a couple of sisters. They are definitely professionals who have organized a lot of events. However, it was difficult at times to contact them. They have an email address and a phone number, but there were many days in which my fiance and I felt like we were playing phone/email tag with them. They have a floral service on the side and it took them like 6 weeks after our floral meeting to send me an estimate during the summer because one woman went away on vacation with her kids, but didn't tell me this. The place is kind of expensive. There is a fee to book the space, which was cheaper than a few other places we considered. Then you have to use their required caterer (Abuso) and bar packages (flat rates/person, no "by consumption" or bring/buy your own booze). Then you have to consider security and valet. My parents kept complaining that we could have spent this kind of money at a Viet restaurant and gotten beef and seafood instead of the chicken entree we chose. So we scrimped on other details and negotiated the best we could on the rest. In the end, it was a classy, elegant reception that went very smoothly with the help of the reception site manager and DJ and caterer. The day before the reception, we dropped off a box of decorations like our guestbook and display photos and candies and things for the florist. They took care of all that for us. Even though the gift table was by the door, the valet guys and security ensured no unwanted guests walked in off the street. I will say that the valet guys may have relaxed on the security a bit by helping the groomsmen find the groom's car and let them decorate it with toilet paper, plastic wrap, hot dogs, and shoe polish. We got tons of compliments about the space and the food and the guests all looked like they were having a good time. It was an awesome place to hold a medium-sized wedding reception.

The pictures on yelp make this place look huge, in reality it's actually a very small venue. My friend has his ceremony here, not the reception, so my review can only be of that. The venue itself is decent, but from the price I heard definitely not worth it. The biggest minus about this place is the parking situation. Basically you are forced to valet. Even then there are only so many spots. So if you actually expect people to go to the ceremony and not just the reception hold your wedding somewhere else.

I came here for Second Coming since my best friend was performing as a DJ. It was a fun event. A cute little bar and ample space to see and be seen. The acoustics were pretty great and management seemed to have everything under control whilst running smoothly. It's a great place to showcase your work that you may be selling as well as a quaint hub to see new artists and new works. I definitely would come back and would love to go to another event. I'm excited to see this space grow.

I was recently a guest here for a company party attended by roughly 200 people. Like most, when I heard "Rockefeller Hall" I imagined a large venue. Though the space is gorgeous with it's pillars, ambient lighting, and old-world architectural design, it is definitely much, much smaller than the pictures on the website would lead you to believe. Upon entering the iron gates, there is a small receiving area that was used to check in for our party. To the right stairway leading to the second floor, the hall provided complimentary coat check. The space itself was decorated very simply (white linens on tables, candles, etc) but tastefully while a live band provided entertainment. The food? Generic salad, chicken dish, potato, etc. It was good but not spectacular. I suppose that for a small company party with a mostly young, agile crowd the split level design isn't too bothersome. However, I can't think of elderly guests climbing up and down the 20+ flights of stairs. Even for us young female guests wearing heels (and having a wee bit too much alcohol), it was definitely a trial of all sorts. Most of the guests who were seated upstairs (after having their meals) moved to the first floor to mingle and much of the second floor became wasted space. Everyone here had a good time but future brides/party planners should take into account their guests' needs when dealing with the split level design.
