I have not been to the club scene for a long while until recently. I only came here because my out-of-town friend visiting. I couldn't believe that was my first time step into South Beach Club (SoBe) since I moved to Houston almost 2 decades ago. Every time I came to SoBe, I got turned away by the long line wrapped around the parking lot before midnight. That's when I normally get off work. But this time, we stopped by on Saturdays. We came super early, like 9:30 pm. Yeah. We got our free pass. Normally, it's $10 cover charge, which isn't bad because there is a huge dance floor with high tech lighting system and sounds system. It was totally worth every penny. Because we love to dance. We adore the music to our liking, more like in the 90's oldies. Yeah, we are older than most people on the dance floor. Thank goodness they didn't kick us out. I remember one night there was a huge group of young Asian guys came in around 10 pm. There were also many birthday celebrations around the seating area. Boy, I would love to sit on a cozy chair after dancing my ass off. Looks like they have some kind of VIP access. There were also girls and straight couples on the dance floor and around the lounge area. Oh, there is a cool patio on the side. Restroom was clean. Looks like there was some kind of upgrades at the club. Yeah. I would definitely return.

its a good time but be warned they tip themselves and alot. we went twice in november first time $48 tab and they tipped themselves $33.. 2nd time $12 tab and they tip themselves $9 ... just bring cash babe.

South Beach was one of the first clubs I've been to in Houston and has been a place I've been returning to with my new friends here in town. If I were to choose a night of the weekend to go, Saturday is the best day because Fridays are pretty dead (unless you like a more empty club so you have room to dance around). There is a cover, which they do take credit card! The music they mostly play is circuit type. I kind of wish they played more Pop/HipHop/Top100 music that everyone can twerk to or drop it low. Like switch it up on the playlist! It doesn't have to be circuit type music all night. I'm sure everyone would appreciate it! Getting service at the bar can be a bit rough. Some of the bartenders are organized and go in order from right to left or vice versa. Others can be a bit slow, inattentive or disorganized. Obviously, I really do appreciate the bartenders that try to have a flow, so that everyone is served appropriately.

I was kicked out on my birthday because the door guy was a dick. I was not drunk or acting out of character. I will continue to report until he is gone. I paid to get in and told the staff he was an asshole as I was kicked out. I will leave reviews and do what I need to do until it is resolved. He ruined my b day

Came from out of town, online it comes up as 18+ but isn't. guy at the door Saturday night checking IDs was rude and looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. very disappointed.

Fun! Classic gay club with the latest house mixes. Dance floor gets super crowded, but the vibes are usually pretty good. Very nice and modern esthetic. Valet parking staff are usually pretty quick. The bathrooms however smell like sea world....

The bouncer was rude to one of the guests in our party. We asked for a refund because they waited until we had paid all of our covers. The manager was nice and understanding.
