Came here for the first time last night and this is about to be my new go to taco spot. It's at a food truck parked next to a gas station with solid parking so not too hard to find. Me and my friends got 11 tacos on flour with extra toppings for about $25. Our order took about 10 minutes. I got the carne asada on flour with cheese, cilantro, grilled onions, sand avocado. And ofc I also got the green and red salsa and omg y'all the tacos were spicy, flavorful, and so delicious! It 100% fixed my taco cravings and the fact that it's open until 3am. Yeah this is the one!

The Laguna taco cart chain has found itself all over the city with the #2 in the lot at the Chevron gas station on Montrose & Alabama. Their claim to fame is twofold: $1 tacos (taquitos) and being one of the latest-night establishments in the neighborhood. I still don't fully understand the menu. They have items that have no prices and no descriptions, which is in line with many of the taco carts throughout the city. Lubary taco? Lubary burrito? Gypsy / Tony / Zuzu tacos? Besides extra condiments, I'm not sure what anything is. Hence, I always stick with their most well-known product: tacos. But these aren't actually tacos. They're taquitos. A smaller off-brand version in which they can charge cheaper prices, for less meat. Two biter tacos is the easiest way to describe it. The tortillas are crispy and the flavor of the meats are fairly good. However, they are also a bit skimpy and aside from chorizo, chicken, and beef, and there is an extra charge. Barbacoa, for example is $2 each. Service has always been very good. Though I swear they go through a lot of turnover because I never see the same people despite showing up at the same time in the middle of the night. It's never too busy and parking is mainly for the convenience store. I also can't stand the way that they package their salsas, which are tied up in a plastic bag. It's not glamorous or even remotely close to the best in the area. However, in a late night pinch and when hunger, strikes and a budget is necessary, then places like this make all the difference.

Nut allergy friendly, I did not ask though. We got charged $10 for 8 tacos here, so $1/taco is relatively inconsistent. Had two each of the pastor, Barbacoa, fajita, and chicken. I would say the Barbacoa and fajita were favorites. They're pretty loaded with cilantro and onions. (Edit: I've been told the Barbacoa is $2). Still a good price for a taco snack. Will be coming back.

This was part of a taco truck Tuesday adventure that me and my boyfriend decided to go on. This was our 3rd truck we visited around the montrose area. Not sure why the truck had a $1 sign under the "taco" part but the tacos were not $1. Was a bit misleading and I guess it's on us that we did not ask. I think they came out to be around $1.50 each --not bad for taco prices these days. We ordered 3 tacos, tripa, campenchano and pastor Although this truck had the most variety in meats, it had the least amount of flavor out of the 4 trucks we visited. The salsa was also just okay, didn't really make a difference but did add some nice heat

CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT! BRING CASH! First things first, 1dollar tacos are amazing! The only ones that are 1 dollar, since people cannot read as I've noticed in the reviews, are the Fajita, Pastor and Pollo which clearly is on the side of the taco truck in big letters. Everything else is 1.25 or 1.50, so don't listen to the ignorant people on this one. I have no idea why there are complaints about the prices when these are definitely the cheapest tacos in Houston and they really smack! The verde salsa is amazing and the staff are quick and know what they're doing very well! My girlfriend and I love the vibe of ordering from a truck and this place never disappoints! Again, the 1 dollar tacos are REAL and it's only for 3 of the meats; POLLO, PASTOR AND FAJITA! Give it a try and again, please read the signs before saying it's misleading!

Tacos al pastor got better since last visit.... Less meat this time but better flavor all around Oooh and the charro beans hit the spot I ordered the tacos ahead of time so they were ready by the time I picked them up. Perfect hand off! The tacos and beans were cooked to perfection and still warm enough after the drive home.

very very good taco. flavorful and satisfyingly. the steak was cooked perfectly with a char on the outside. each bite was packed with bold, savory flavor, enhanced by a subtle marinade that hinted at citrus and spices without overpowering the meat. the taco came wrapped in a warm, flour tortilla; slightly chewy, with just enough char from the griddle to add texture and depth. the diced white onion and a generous sprinkle of chopped cilantro added brightness, while a squeeze of lime brought it all together with a zesty kick. this steak taco wasn't just good, it was crave-worthy!

I walked over for my lunch break to try this place out located in the parking lot of a Chevron gas station on the corner of Montrose & Alabama. I saw $1 tacos and I just had to taste them! I tried two different kind of meats I ordered 4 because I wasn't too sure on the portion size. Turns out they're the cutest, most flavorful, delicious little tacos. A lightly crispy double wrapped corn tortilla with a decent portion of chicken & beef. They had so many other options on the menu I definitely will be returning! The service was great and there was a little wait due to the volume of customers there for lunch. After waiting a short 6-7 minutes in that scorching sun because remember (I walked) lol I was on my way, I really enjoyed this place, the menu is large. I'm definitely getting nachos and a quesadilla next time they looked delicious. But $1 tacos for lunch you can't beat it they were very fulfilling definitely try this cool little taco truck.
