Illusion of a Taqueria? At least they are honest with the name. It's standard fare and OK, but not worth a special trip. It's a short walk from M&M Hobby Center, though. I got hungry waiting so long there, I came here for a snack. Come to think of it, maybe making taqueria food is a hobby here. Tacos al Pastor meat was too dry for my taste, and not that flavorful.

I've been to several taquerias in this area and this one is the cheapest and best, English is not well spoken here though. But it's worth the struggle if you want cheap and great.

I just wanted regular breakfast tacos, I used to live in Texas and moved to another state and just can't find he same type of breakfast. I had a meeting in Bellaire, looked up the closes thing and found this place. When looking at the menu, it is more of a lunch stop and they didn't have any breakfast tacos on the menu. I just asked if they would make me some, and they said they would. I appreciate that a lot. They were great!

We were in the area and decided to pick up some tortas to-go. Mm mm!!!! Yum!! Just a real small nice place. The tortas are huge!! Cheap n good. Their horchata looked great too. Sweet workers. Thanks yall!

Don't be fooled by the "hole in the wall" appearance. The food is amazing! The dishes and tortas are on-point. Try the Gloria Trevi torta when you go. The waitresses are sweet and the food is inexpensive.

I was about to get a torta based on the reviews here but was surprised at the extensive menu so I decided to try one of the full dishes and I was really surprised, I didn't expected this little place to have such fresh food. Everything tasted like fresh made that day which to me is the most important aspect that affects taste and appearance: the salsas and chips, the beans and rice, and the meat and salad garnish with guacamole. I had the bistec, by the way. Also the people there, both employees and customers were nice. There was this old gringo there having just coffee and he goes out of the door and someone reaches him telling him he is forgetting stuff left on his table. Then after that, his car does not start and another customer goes out without being asked and helps him out. Cool little place. Don't know how it will be atnight though. There seems to be a bar next door and but there is also a Mexican meat market too where families go grocery shopping.
