My husband and I attempted to patronize this place for dinner yesterday. When we walked in there was one party of 5/6 ppl in the entire restaurant, so not full at all. The party was smoking hookah so there was a strong smell in the air. But we were willing to endure it. When the waiter came to take our order, I ordered a Diet Coke. The waiter was not sure if they "still" had Diet Coke. After a cpl or seconds of back and forth he concluded that they did not. NP, I ordered water. The same thing happened to my husband, he tried to order three different types of drinks and settled on water. Then came the food order...I tried to order beef kabobs, which they were out of. The excuse was that because they get busy for lunch, all the kabobs get ordered then. (This was on a Saturday...) I settled on steak kabobs. Then my husband tried to order lamb shank, nope they did not have that either. At this point, we thanked the waiter and informed him that we wld go somewhere else. He said ok. That's it. Kind like ok, don't let the door hit on the rear on the way out.

We came here thinking it was a Greek Mediterranean restaurant, but I was a little confused. It's an R&B lounge, hookah bar, middle eastern, American and Mediterranean restaurant. They were playing great R&B music throughout the night. There was only one server for the entire place inside and outdoor patio. He was really great, but extremely busy. There are items on the menu that are not available and items available not on the menu. We ordered hummus plate, mozzarella sticks and samosas. They were all good except the samosas that tasted liked a frozen boxed item. We also ordered a burger, chicken sandwich, wrap, and meat platter. The food was good, but nothing fantastic. The meat platter was a bit dry and bland.

Update to my below review yesterday: yes, we loved the lamb shank so much that we came back two days in a row! I didn't mention it before, but they serve the lamb shank with a selection of three sauces which are Tzatziki, barbecue, and honey. Best lamb shank I've had in years. To put things in perspective, I'm not a huge fan of most barbecue sauces, but their version actually tastes very good. I heard the lady sitting at the table behind us tell the waiter that the Dolmathes were the best she had ever tasted. So we had them at our table. She and I then discussed how these were clearly homemade from scratch because there was none of that "bitterness" one has at other restaurants where they just order them in big cans. Huge difference when this restaurant makes them. The lady had asked them to make her a gyro plate and she said it was really excellent; it just so happened that yesterday I had asked about the gyro because I haven't had a truly authentic gyro in years because so many restaurants shortcut and just order from a supplier, and they had responded that they make it themselves. We came for lunch and were pleased to discover that from 11AM-3PM they have an early bird where drinks are 50% off. We both ordered an Arnold Palmer, heavy on the lemonade, and we both agreed it was delicious. I haven't tried anything at the coffee bar corner of the restaurant yet, but I will get around to that sometime soon. Dessert: we had a good baklava yesterday, but today we decided to do the real dessert thing and ordered the kunafa. This is a cheese dessert for cheese lovers and as it's made from scratch you need to be prepared for it to take 20 minutes to make before it arrives piping hot at the table; we added an order of ice-cream on the side which makes a nice melted sauce. Homemade! They don't take shortcuts here, they make things themselves in-house, and that quality and pride shows in the food we get to consume. Great staff working here who fall all over themselves to ensure you have a great meal. This is not your run-of-the-mill Mediterranean restaurant, it's superior and playing in the big league. We're so HAPPY we found Texas Zeus Cafe.

Loved this spot! They have a private parking lot which is always refreshing. Has the cutest freaking interior that honestly helped in setting the overall vibe. The music selection paired with the hookahs? *Chefs kiss* I don't know what type of hookahs they're using over there but they were HITTING and they were coming back adjusting the coals habitually, ughhh loved it. Service was honestly just 10/10, impeccable overall. Super friendly and attentive staff. Food was also pretty good, but I wouldn't describe it as absolutely amazing. Definitely feel like they could benefit from a little more variety with the menu. Will for sure be visiting again next time I'm in North Houston. Didn't get to explore their drink menu but you can bet I'll be doing so on my next visit!

Stopped by after dinner with a girl friend in the middle of the week This place is a lowkey vibe and the hookah is affordable. Hookah was very smooth and lasted a while (at least an hour) between 2 people. They do have a bar and kitchen. Staff did mention that there is entertainment on the weekends so I would come by and check that out.

This is a really cool spot. They played great music. It was my first hookah experience, and I enjoyed it, even though I'm not a smoker. The food was great, as was the service. I would recommend trying this spot!

Hookah has been amazing. Food and ambience as well as the staff have been wonderful. So happy to have this so close to home, since moving from southwest finding a good hookah spot has been hard. Im so happy Zeus Cafe is finally open

Ive seen this place but haven't tried it yet the decoration called my attention I will stop some time to try it out!! For now 5 stars because of the cute decor... ill come back with the feedback
