A Diy project worth spending time and money on. There were more locations a couple years ago, but like many businesses, few remain and I am glad they do. Its a place where u get to pick an item of pottery of ur choice- say, a plate, cup, doll, animal etc, and if u want a special item u can check their website, if the particular store u r visiting doesn't have it they will get it for u. Its nice as your own personal expression of art. Or great even for a birthday party, or a team building activity etc. its BYOB, so ..... take ur time relax and create a little bit of u. They will provide the art supplies of course for a cost and once u r done and hand over your finished product they will glaze it and give it to you, I think in 3 days. MaryAnn was the adorable associate who was there when we visited and gave a lot of information. I own a couple of pieces from there from a few years ago, its probably time to create another new one :)

This was a fun and relax I ng experience. I came here with coworkers as part of mandatory team building. I found it enjoyable and comfortable which helped keep conversation light and fun. This activity brought out the creativity in all of us.rhe stacg was excellent and walk you through some tips and tricks. Having a fried and cured example of what the paints will look like complete helped. You pay when toy are done painting and your items should be ready for pick up in 3-4 days.

Love love love this place!! I've come here many times, I think I'm missing a picture of one of them, as shown in my pictures. It's so much fun and so relaxing. Usually it's not busy and it's pretty quiet but I have caught a crowd once. They have a nice clean single stall bathroom. And all the staff over the years have been very kind! There's tons of paint colors to choose from and so many tools to use. They don't take long firing the pottery and call you when it's ready to pick up. I love all my pieces I've made. Only thing I'll say is maybe avoid the bowls/kitchen stuff. I'm very careful with them but both my bowls got cracked from just being bumped around in cabinets. But if you have a secure place for them go for it! Can't wait to be back!!

This was my first time at Mad Potter and I had a blast! I went on Feb 17 friday and the girls working there were super sweet and accommodating. The piece of pottery I painted was $36, which is pretty pricey but this is pretty much the only thing you have to pay for. This includes the paint and the time you spend painting at their table as well, so you only pay for the piece of pottery. We made a reservation for 8:30, which is not a good idea because we probably spent 2 hrs eating and talking and that gave us 30 minutes to paint our pottery. They close at 11pm, so we ended up staying 5 minutes past closing. The girls were very nice though and didn't mind. They even took a picture for us. You're allowed to bring in food as well! I hoped the people around us did not mind the smell of tamales and Chick-fil-a. It was very nice to talk and eat with your finds and then enjoy some relaxing time painting. I saw a sign that said pets are welcome too! I need to verify that though, but I would love to bring my pup.

I hadn't been to the mad pot since I was close to 10 years old. On a whim, we decided to visit on a Friday night. We had such a wonderful time. The staff was very helpful and getting us set up and explaining the process. They had a wide variety of items to select for painting. They are also BYOB, so we were able to bring drinks with us and enjoy. I think they also have a small selection of snacks available for purchase. Would definitely return!

I unfortunately have to update the raving review I left. I returned today to pick up the items my friend and I painted and they lost her item! No reasoning as to why, maybe gave to another customer (?) The assistant manager was nice and did refund my friend but it was a memory and keepsake that my friend and I were excited about so it ruined the overall experience to obtain the items we spent a few hours painting. Awaiting a call from the manager to obtain an understanding as to what happened. But unfortunately will not be returning and no longer recommend.

The Mad Potter is such a fun place to go to if you're looking for an activity in Houston! They have a wide variety of pottery selections to paint and tons of colors. The Mad Potter recently went through a remodel and it looks stunning! Their staff is very kind and helpful and are there for you if you have any questions on painting techniques. I painted a really cute sunflower spoon holder and it turned out AMAZING! This is such a fun place for friends and families, you should definitely check it out if you haven't been here yet or if it's been a while!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! This is my 4th time back at "The Mad Potter" this month (and probably won't be my last). I first came here with a kiddo I nanny . We had a blast and had to come back a second time. The other times were for a date night and for a family funday. Every single time that I've come I've had a great time. the ladies here at the establishment are so kind and friendly. I did see a couple reviews back of people rating this place lower due to the price of the activity... in my opinion I think it's worth every penny. There is no longer a studio fee so the only payment is the piece itself. The turnaround time for the ceramics to be glazed and kilned is fairly quick and always comes out great. This is the perfect place for date nights, young children, and even adults.
