We started a new business venture that required us to get expedited visas to Brazil and China. Travisa was efficient, high touch and the automated tracking was very streamlined. I was nervous and anxious about getting everything on time but they made it happen.

Travisa was recommended to us by a co-worker so we decided to use them for 2 non-expedited China Visa. Service was good (14 days turn around) however we got popped with a $970.00 charge to our CC. There were hidden fees that weren't informed to us. After numerous emails and calls to customer service, Travisa refunded $140.00. In our humble opinion $830.00 for two visas is still way too expensive compares to other visa services. They even charged $23.00 for downloading the application, their reason was because the order wasn't submitted online. Topped with a $38.00 for the pre-printed FedEx label...another word if you mail in the application out-of-pocket is $61.00. If you decide go with Travisa make sure you get all the fees upfront. And read the reviews, Travisa is "known" for overcharge and tack on hidden fees.

Excellent follow up by your Houston rep. He immediately, within the hour of receiving my application documents, contacted me with missing documents. I was able to get these to him via scan/email and he had the package submitted to Chinese embassy before the end of the day. Great service. Over all, with shipping it took 5 total business days. After talking with a polite and helpful representative on the phone, who assured me the passports and visas were handled expediently, I mailed my passport to Travisa. My visa was received and sent to the consulate where it sat for 4 business days. I realize you don't have any power over the speed with which the consulate makes its decisions. However, what happened with my passport after the consulate sent it back is the reason I will never choose Travisa again, and will recommend my colleagues consider a different service the next time they travel. I was told over the phone that my visa would be mailed at the end of the business day -- Tuesday, 1/18/2011. I followed my passport tracking on the Travisa website and saw that it was mailed the following day, Wednesday 1/19 at noon. I called the office to make absolutely sure that it had been put in the mail. I had included an envelope for it to be overnighted. I was assured that it had been picked up for mailing and would arrive the next day. The next day, I continued watching for my USPS tracking number to see when my passport/visa would return to me. When the tracking number failed to update, I contacted the post office and Travisa. Travisa assured me several times that it had been mailed Wednesday, 1/19, at noon. I expected the passport to arrive just in time for me to get on my flight. I was told by Travisa that it was a Post Office tracking error and that the passport was in the mail. I missed my international flight on 1/20/2011 because my passport had not yet been mailed to me, despite numerous people assuring me it had been mailed, and despite the tracking information on the Travisa site that said it had been mailed. My passport was not given to the post office until 6:30 PM on 1/20/2011. (I have the receipt and timestamps of this transaction.) This means it took Travisa 36 hours to take the passport from the Travisa office to the Post Office which is just down the road. My passport left the Houston post office at 7:00 pm and arrived to me the next morning at 8:00 am. The delay was clearly not the fault of the Postal Service. Had my passport been mailed the first time I was told it would be mailed, I would not have missed my flight and incurred so may additional expenses. This is unacceptable. Because of the negligence and dishonesty of the people involved in the mailing of my passport, I have had to pay an extra $500 for my travels and have had to postpone my business affairs for several days. I am sending this survey information to the Travisa headquarters with a request to be reimbursed for the cost of my airfare cancellation fee ($300 because I had to cancel the day of the flight since I was not told until it was too late that my passport had not yet been mailed), the cost of my expedited mail that was not handled correctly by your office ($18), the $163 fee I paid to Travisa to competently handle my visa, and the additional cost incurred when I rebooked my ticket ($200). I will also report this incident to the Better Business Bureau. I recommend finding a more professional way of managing the mailing side, and following through with these time-sensitive and important documents.

I would rate this negative five stars if that was an option. I sent everything on the "requirements" list a month before I was suppose to leave the country. Red flag number one: I got a call saying I was missing a document, which I know I included. After repeatedly telling the guy to look again, he says "maybe someone threw it in the trash, if you are positve you sent it I will look for it." Are you serious? These documents are extremely sensitive and you think someone threw it in the trash??? Low and behold I get a call back and it was found. Then as they should have submitted the documents immediately, they start to request things that were not mentioned anywhere on the website, documents that take weeks to get. Long story short, the documents they requested were NOT required by the consulate and they wasted my time and money on obtaining these documents and sending them overnight. By this time there is "a new" requirement that was just made for an FBI background check that takes SIX WEEKS to have done. I have now spent 400$ and another 500$ or so to change my flights as I will not be getting my visa in time. If I wanted to waste all that time and money I would have flown to Houston myself to submit everything. If you are considering using this service, think about just flying to Houston instead to submit it yourself. Saves you time and money and frustration.

BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY!!! NOT approved by consulates in Houston! Our documents and money were held for a week and an original birth certificate was not returned. Now we are dealing with identity theft issues. Do not use them. Check with whichever consulate you are dealing with and only use the visa services on their approved list. Travisa does not tell you they are not approved.

Travisa's service was recommended to me by a colleague who has used them in the past with much success. Based on that recommendation I proceeded to contact and work with Travisa to secure my visa to India. I paid extra for the Fast Trak service and for that I am giving it one less than 5 stars - it's pretty expensive. But, overall I had a great experience. I got my visa back in less than a week and now I'm looking forward to my trip.

This was possibly the worst professional interaction of my life. I used them to record biometrics for my residence permit as a guest researcher in Denmark, and their service was terrible and unprofessional. First of all, their website looks like something from the 1990s; there is very little information and even though I was only inquiring about available appointment times, there was only one time and date available and I had it before I knew it. I then received a vague email that, I later discovered, did not tell me that certain documents were needed. The office is located in a large office building where it is difficult to find parking and even more difficult to navigate to find their offices. As a result I arrived about 10 minutes late and was curtly told as much by the employee behind the desk. I then waited about 30 minutes for Bianca to come out and repeatedly scold me for arriving late right in the middle of the lobby, like I was a child. I responded by explaining that their website did not provide any instructions on how to find their offices. Rather than apologize, she actually became defensive and raised her voice at me, saying that they have a phone number on the website, as if this was supposed to be a legitimate response. I managed to stay quiet, but I was so furious that a manager actually came out and spoke to me, for no apparent reason other than to show some respect to me for a change. I paid these people hundreds of dollars for a service and was treated like they were doing me a favor. If they were not the only option for fulfilling my residence requirements in the city, I would have walked straight back out of the door after Bianca's remarks. And their exclusive contract with the Danish government is the only reason they get away with these abhorrent business practices.

I had great experience with Brazil Visa. For this India Visa...any low marks were due to me sending in my application which had wrong passport expiration date (typo..my fault). The person notified me to send again. At MY suggestion I emailed a copy and had her proof it before I mailed in copy again. I payed 300.00 extra for fast track. It seems this process would have been in place already...to have application sent to be proofread prior to shipping..when it is fast tracked. I ended up having to pay shipping out of my own pocket. The other issue is I requested a 10 year visa. I received passport with visa for only 5 years. No one told me of this change or communicated this to me that it would be 5 and not 10 years.
