I was actually pleasantly surprised with Verde Gardens' food. I honestly came in with low expectations since I already have my go-to favorites around Houston. We mostly came for lotería (we saw on IG that it started at 7, but it actually didn't start until closer to 8:30). It was still fun, but I do wish I knew the right time! The host was great, super lively, but the game is definitely geared toward a Spanish-speaking audience--sometimes the cards were only called out in Spanish instead of also giving the English translation or number. Now the food... SLAPPED. I ordered the shrimp inferno tacos and wow, they were spicy--but I loved them! The jalapeño crema went perfectly with the rice and beans. At one point, I went to the bar to ask for sour cream because of the heat. The staff was so friendly that they even asked what I had ordered so they could pair it with a mild salsa/dip. That honestly ended up being a highlight for me.

An instagram post promoting a loteria night event on Thursdays nights brought us in! First of all, this place is beautiful and big! Plenty of patio spots, indoor seating and bar seating. With that said let's go back to the essentials, parking! Parking is shared with about 3 other restaurants in that same vicinity so the only option is valet for $7. I mean there is street parking but who wants to park their nice car on a tiny street? Anyways, as we came in the staff was friendly and welcoming. The event section was more of an "order at the bar type" of service. I will say that the bar staff maybe seemed a bit overwhelmed and the bartender that attended me with an "are you ready for to order?!" instead of greeting me with a smile and asking me how she could help me! I'm huge on customer service and their bartenders definitely a bit more training in that area. Regardless, we ordered the fajita quesadilla ($16), nachos with beef add on ($18), and fajita enchiladas ($17). Definitely a bit more on the pricey side but overall pretty big portions especially the quesadilla, which is shareable. The loteria was so much fun and the prizes were so cute! The loteria made it so much more fun since it was FREE! Come check it out with friends.

Definitely a hidden jewel. Located near Downtown Houston by Allen Parkway, this restaurant makes the mark. When you arrive, you are greeted with a touch a Spanish decor mixed with nature and modern decor. The bright colors capture the style of the Spanish heritage. Parking is minimal but valet is available for $3.00. Food - 4 stars The brunch served is healthy Mexican inspired cuisine. I ordered the Migas with fresh, sautéed vegetables, and black beans. The other order was huevos rancheros. These eggs were covered with sautéed vegetables and placed on the corn tortilla over the fajitas. You are served both green and red salsa. The green salsa has a sweet taste but oh so delicious. The red salsa is also as good and very tasteful with a hint of spicy. The chips are either air fried or oven baked because they were toasted perfectly. Both were delicious and a good portion size. Customer service - 5 stars Our waiter and waitress were fantastic. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted. Price - 2-3 dollar signs My meal: Migas, tea, mimosa =$35 Cleanliness- 4 stars The dining, bar, patio, and restroom are clean. Restroom - 4 stars The hallway to the restroom is a site in itself. They have cute flowers hanging from the ceiling and the hallway is so colorful. Each stall has its own private toilet so you cannot hear or see the person next to you.

Verde Garden is one of the many restaurants owned by The Kirby Group (TKG). If you've ever visited a TKG establishment, then you know that they excel with their craft cocktails. Verde Garden is quite large. They have a beautiful patio out front, however I've only sat inside on the cocktail side. The restaurant is divided into two sections. Upon entering, the bar on the left serves beer and wine while the bar on the right serves cocktails. Pick your poison! The bartenders are very friendly and are great about explaining the drinks and providing recommendations. I've had an Espresso Martini and a Carajillo which were both great, but my absolute favorite drink that I've had from Verde Garden is their Mexican Martini. It is hands down, the best Mexican Martini I've ever had. If you would have told me that I would find a Mexi Mart that I liked more than the one from Trudy's in Austin (R.I.P.), I would have laughed in your face. Verde Garden's Mexi Mart is legit and it's potent! They do offer a full Tex Mex menu. It's counter service, so you can place your food/drink order at the bar and then find a seat. The food is alright. I had a Beef Fajita Quesadilla and it was fine. Luckily, the drinks more than make up for the average food. The biggest headache is the parking situation. On my first visit, I was able to self park in the lot because they didn't have the entire lot blocked off for valet. The parking spots are pretty narrow so use caution if you have a larger vehicle. When I came back a year later, the lot was valet only. It's $7 and they take cash or card. Street parking is available, but it's hard to come by. Verde Garden is the place for great drinks, a nice ambiance, and cool photo ops.

I can't believe this place isn't more talked about. Went here for brunch with my Family and had a wonderful experience. Despite being a big party our waitress got everything right and was super sweet. The chilaquiles were delicious. I wish the tortillas were house made but other than that I loved everything.

Was searching for late night spots and this shows in search results. Bud kitchen closes at 10 and they close at 2 I believe. We were visiting for food purposes in Labor Day Monday. When I pulled into the parking lot it appeared very low traffic and once inside it was no customers, only friendly staff members. The offer valet it looked as though. I really admire the architecture of the building design, looks like authentic Mexican food is served here

I found a post of this restaurant on TikTok. It is not the same look on TikTok. Nice valet parking, $3 for lunchtime, $7 for dinner time. Upon entrance it says wait to be seated. The hostess was on the when me and my friend arrived. We stood there for about 10 min waiting to be seated, the hostess never said nothing to us as we stood there so long. A server came and seated us. The hostess got off the phone. About 8 minutes she came to our table and finally apologized for the long wait. We seated at the table for about another 10 minutes before the waitress came over to take our order. I got the Shrimp Enchilada with a green sauce and my friend got Birria. The Shrimp Enchilada has a strong vinegar taste in the sauce. The birria has a cinnamon taste. I asked the waitress was cinnamon in and she asked the chef and it does have cinnamon. I went to the restroom and there's a break on the cabinet door and a broken spot on the floor and walls not painted. The swing area we saw on TikTok was so cute but it was not like the TikTok look. The swings was just outside with no decorations around it. They drinks look good we did buy a drink but we saw other guest with drinks. Too long time waiting for seating and service. Food not as tasteful as we expected.
