Highly recommend this bus service Great experience every time I have used it. A fantastic alternative to Southwest Airlines which is the best in the state. It's cheaper, better and possibly quicker based on various factors. Staff very friendly and drivers super smooth and I think they have a great safety track record

I originally booked Houston to Austin (10/18/25) leaving Houston at 9 am . I subsequently changed my reservation to leave Houston at 12 noon for the same date 2 weeks out. I wasn't charged for this change. Original charge one way was $127. I finally changed the reservation due to last minute change in travel plans. However for this change, I was charged $20 per passenger for a total of $40. When I called them the evening before- they said they had plenty of seats available and the person said she could change it right now but I said I want to wait till the morning as my daughter was flying early morning- wasn't sure if there would be flight delays especially with the govt. shutdown. She didn't advise me of any fare difference. They really jack up the prices the day of travel if you make same day changes I found out later. Airlines namely United or Southwest don't charge for trip changes within 24 hours of original booking. On my return from Austin to Houston on 10/19/25, there was a woman talking loudly on the phone for approximately 30 mins and nobody said anything to her. I have been traveling with Vonlane for 6 plus years and I have never incurred any change fee. I have never had issues with them in the past but after this experience, I won't travel with them anymore.

Best way to travel between Dallas and Houston for work. Same time door to door, but no dealing with long security lines or hanging out at the airport though delays and dragging your bag around for hours. Comfortable seating, free checked bags, free bevs, breakfast or lunch, snacks and a really nice long nap! Lol! I arrived to my office in Houston refreshed and ready to put in a days work.

Traveling from Houston to Dallas for business has been one of my least favorite experiences as an adult. The drive on I-45 is boring, and flying takes as long as driving, despite the short flight, with the added hassle of security checks and delays. But have I ever considered taking the bus? Yes! I have researched some companies servicing that route, but I wasn't completely convinced about how safe, comfortable, and reliable they would be. I am grateful that my coworkers recommended Vonlane, a premium bus service that operates between Houston, Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio. The service is top-notch, more comfortable than flying, and includes complimentary meals, drinks, and snacks. They have a fleet of luxury buses with amenities such as free wifi, a restroom, and spacious leather seats. The prices are comparable to cheap flights, but the experience is more "refined", more enjoyable, and certainly more productive, especially for business travel. In my two trips so far, I have had no complaints except for a delay caused by a faulty audio system, which coincided with street repairs in front of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Houston (Vonlane's terminal). Passengers had to wait in the Houston heat with no shade for 30 minutes, leaving us sweaty by the time we boarded the bus. Despite this inconvenience, overall, my experience with Vonlane has been great.

First time using this company and it did not disappoint. Left San Antonio on the 10am and arrived on schedule. The service on board was excellent and the customer service by the staff was fantastic! A very well assortment of snacks were provided and selection of sandwiches (I chose Boars Head Ham & Cheddar) were great. I had coffee and water but there were many other options to pick from. It was the most relaxing trip to Houston I've ever had as I got to read, play games, Lito music and take a nap. I will most definitely be using this service again.

Clara Garrison, I'm 75 yrs old and have traveled for the last 10 yrs from Houston to Austin , by driving or bus...have seen Vonlane Bus on the rode for about the 3yrs.. ...Last month I took my 1st trip on Vonlane, the best trip ever, the service, the ride, the cleanness, the bus assistant and the driver all received a AAA....I will pass the word.... Volane is usually reliable and comfortable and the attendees are great. My coworkers love it, but I have to say my last few experiences have not been the best. In one instance, the bus attendee was not very friendly or attentive as I've experienced in the past. Then, in my most recent trip, I accidentally left my luggage behind (but quickly realized it after 5 mins). The bus had departed already, which is fine, but while on a call with Vonlane to track the luggage, I noticed my huge suitcase sitting in the middle of a sidewalk--in downtown Houston, completely unattended! I'm grateful it was midnight and there were not that many people around or surely I would have lost it.

I can't enough about my first Vonlane experince. It's gotten to be such a hassle to fly on a plane now, that I thought I would try a bus. The service is exceptional. Reminded me of first class on an airplane except the seats are even better on the bus! I felt safe and doted on! Refreshed when I arrived in Houston. Thank you Vonlane. I'll be back.

I traveled from Austin to Houston on the 7:00 am Vonlane. The drive was pleasant and the van was very clean. My friend and I were chatting quietly in the front row and were shushed by the attendant. I asked if someone complained as I could see everyone else around us was asleep and had been for some time. The attendant said that no one complained, but that she could hear us talking. In addition to her intrusion into our conversation, the driver was new (which was fine) but a person was talking to him for most of the trip about routes, exits etc. in a MUCH louder voice than that of my friend and me. I get the request for quiet on Vonlane trips. I actually welcome it. On my only other trip from Austin to Houston, a teenager across from me was watching a TV show on his IPAD loudly with no earphones. I was working so I found this incredibly annoying. No one asked him to put in earphones. I think there needs to be a consistent policy regarding the noise level on the trips. Other than the two noise issues, my trips have been wonderful.
