I frequent here for concerts and always have a smooth experience. They have a parking lot located next to the venue, check in was seamless and the showtime schedule listed matched to when the artists performed. I love this venue for more intimate shows. Bar service is always friendly and the drinks are not overpriced.

I know this venue well because I've seen shows upstairs / downstairs about a dozen times in the past year or so. I've also been to a lot of other music venues in Houston and Austin. 75% of the time everything is fine but there's some stuff you need to know. I've had about 4 bad experiences here : downstairs venue way too warm when full, not letting people in at the time the posted on social media + flyer, several times the speakers sounded terrible or EQ was very off. 1. If the downstairs show is packed it's going to be really hot. Multiple reviews mention people getting sick, passing out, throwing up. If it's only half full it will be totally fine. But if you're planning on seeing someone very popular here, plan on being *very* warm. On the other hand the smaller upstairs venue is cold for real. 2. Sometimes the audio sucks but most of the time everything sounds ok. I've seen a few of shows that sounded really bad. This has happened both upstairs and downstairs. Unfortunately the times this happened to me it was bands I was looking forward to. One time the opening band sounded fine then headliner bass was turned up WAY too high. Another time the speakers sounded blown for every band, openers and headliner. 3. The "doors" time isnt set in stone. "Doors at 4pm" might be doors at 4:30. Or you show up at 4pm then stand in line for 15mins for basically no reason. They are really weird about when they let people in. 4. When the opener goes on changes. The first band might go on 30mins after doors or 1hr after doors. I've seen both situations. 5. There is no re-entry. This happened one time : Doors at 7pm. Show up about to walk in. Sign up front says first band isnt until like 8:15. No mention of this on social media. People in front of me complaining. Cuz once you go in that's it. You're going to be standing for almost 1hr just waiting for the first band. Here's something else : I think Im going to be smart and show up 30min after doors so I dont have to stand around waiting for opening band. I get there 30min after doors and the opening band (who I wanted to see) is already on their 2nd song. So there is no good way to time this venue. It's random what youre going to get when you show up. Probably it will be fine, but there is a 25% chance something I mentioned above will happen.

I have to say its the small venues that pack the biggest punch!! Yes, it's small. It can get packed up real quick so I highly recommend you get in line real early. Even if you don't, there is a bar right next door. The crowd and atmosphere was just right for the kinda night and good time we wanted. Plenty of food and coffee trucks you could ask for. Drinks may be alil pricey but that's just how it is. The drink menu is pretty good so you will have options. Be sure to hydrate if you go during the summer.

This is my 2nd favourite live music venue in Houston. I've seen tons of shows here over the last few years but had to finally write a review because the staff went above and beyond for us at our most recent one. They made an exception that meant so much to us since we had messed up getting there too early and really didn't want to wait in the small area indoors. Highly recommend this place all across the board- a plethora of great bands come here, the sound is always balanced well, and the outdoor area is the best part. It's also the best outdoor music venue in Houston, period... I wish so many bands that went to the Cynthia Woods Pavilion came to White Oak instead! The bag policy here is how it should be everywhere. They're reasonable and laid-back. Also, the parking is ideal and easy. You can pay to park in their lot right across the street, or just park for free in a nearby neighbourhood and make the short walk to the venue.

Great views from all sides in GA. I was all the way in the back by the bar which has a lot of drink options. And my view was still 10/10. I got parking in lot B and prepaid. All I had to do was scan my ticket and had parking minutes from the front of the venue. I got through security quickly and immediately was able to see the artist. I come quite a bit and prices are always affordable. I recommend buying tickets in advance and go ahead and pre purchase a parking ticket for one of their lots!

1st time here, and had a blast, however, the downside is those with disabilities or limited Range of Motion, it is difficult to manuever, Staff was very helpful, good recommendations on the food trucks, Parking is a hassle but this is place is in a neighborhood. Was there for Aaron freaking Lewis, not a bad seat in the house. Sounded great as well.

My family and I went to go see djo in concert here on Sunday 10/05/2025 it was amazing the venue was beautiful and the band was amazing we ordered the brisket fries and they were sooo amazing i would definitely recommend coming here for concerts I wish more bands come here

I came to see an artist and there were two other performances at this venue for the same time. Inside the venue, it feels like there's no AC so we are all sweating. One girl vomited and had a panic attack. I will say it's good that the venue started handing out ice water but it's unacceptable how hot this venue is. It's 77 degrees outside but feels way worse with all of us squished in her. Please do better with the air conditioning and making sure it's cool enough. We paid for a $5 water before they started handing it out for free.

I am absolutely infuriated with my experience at Djo on Oct. 5. I go to concerts consistently and have never experienced anything like this before. We were sent an email telling us to arrive at the venue at 1pm to pick up a numbered wristband and that we could leave and come back to claim that spot at 5pm. Staff did not honor this and instead told us we had to wait in line until 4pm. (Which was also a lie, we didn't get in until 6pm) I paid to not do this and the venue's website states fans are not allowed to wait that long anyway. I was told if I left, I forfeit my spot and VIP. Paying an extra $100 for this, that wasn't ideal. Staff was frustrated with us having to deal with an extra 200 people in line early, who all would have cleared out by after 1pm if they had honored the system. We didn't want to clear out in fear of not getting a decent view that we had paid extra for and were guaranteed. The opening band and fellow people in the line brought us waters, not even staff who forced us to wait. I never wait and queue hours before show, I know it is unfair to staff at the venue. But people were told we had to stay in order to get their money's worth. Staff was also mocking fans in line and being outright rude. As a business, it's shady to delete Instagram comments for calling you out on not providing what we paid for. It's also strange that any bad Google review referencing this concert is now gone. Take ownership. This entire event was unsafe. Keeping people trapped in the heat for hours and then not ensuring a safe, numbered system toward the front of the stage just wracked havoc. Staff had a hard time lining us up and organizing us and weren't sure what to do. I felt bad for them, but honestly the whole thing was unprofessional. People who wanted barricade and arrived early in the morning ended up pushed to the back because staff had us self funnel into one line before making us stand around in direct sunlight. Evidently this was a miscommunication between White Oak and the artist's team. What I paid for was not respected and I was kept in the heat for hours with little to no information, uprooted hours of my day and risked my health. At the very least, emailed communication to us prior to arriving at 1pm and getting trapped at your venue that the time was changing would have made a huge difference.
