Located in the Deerbrook Mall in Humble Texas, this AMC theater has 24 screens playing movies, one of them in IMAX. Parking is plentiful and free in the mall parking garage. AMC has discounted pricing on Tuesday, even for IMAX (though they have a hefty $2.50 per ticket price for reserving it on-line...discounted if a AMC loyalty member). So my brother and I took the opportunity to watch F1 during its first week for release. The movie was excellent, basically Top Gun - Maverick on a racetrack. The IMAX theater had reclining lounge chairs which made the viewing comfortable. Though in that position, one can't see the bottom of the screen at all. For this movie, we hardly missed it. The experience definitely sucked us in.

Sure, many theaters are getting fancy upgrades, but I kind of appreciate the nostalgic charm of this place--until I sit down that is. The IMAX and Dolby screens offer those sweet, sweet recliners, but the rest? Think dirty, outdated, and about as comfortable as a rock in a blender. Now, AMC's motto is "We make movies better," but apparently that doesn't apply to customer service. You'll find a rare gem or two who genuinely care, but the rest seem more invested in their phones or personal convos than in, you know, doing their jobs. And that A-List line? It's basically decorative. If there's only one person at the register, it's a free-for-all: "I can help whoever's next" -- whether you're A-List or just wandered in from the parking lot. Popcorn? I'll give them credit there. Most of the time, it's fresh and crunchy, with butter and salt stations for your DIY flavoring needs. Jalapeños used to be free, but apparently some rogue popcorn rebels ruined it for the rest of us, and now there's a surcharge. Then there's the soda situation. Those touchscreen machines with a buffet of drink options are great, when they actually have something in them. Half the time, they're out of everything except some obscure soda no one drinks. And don't even get me started on the audience. Since the pandemic, it seems like people think they're paying for both a movie and a social hour. Despite the pre-film plea for silence, there's always that one group that treats the theater like their living room. Whatever happened to ushers kicking out chatty patrons? Ah, the good ol' days. In short, I've accepted that the service here is permanently set to "meh." I still grin and bear it because, at the end of the day, I'm here for the love of movies, even if I have to bring my own patience.

Hands down, the direst move theatre I have ever been to. Seats were excessively stained, almost EVERY toilet in the restroom dirty, and no adults anywhere to be found to offer staff oversight.

The dirtiest movie theater I have ever been too. I would give this theater 0 stars. The seats where stained and disgusting. I did not even stay for the movie I paid for automatically left.

We are new to the area, but I figured with an AMC at a big mall we would have a wonderful experience. I was so wrong! First of all, the looks to pick up tickets did not work. The fountain drink I got had NO flavor, the movie was supposed to start at 7:00 pm (I double checked my ticket) but they changed it to 7:30 without any notification. The seats were horribly uncomfortable, very tight and super straight up. In fact, the seats in front of me cut off about a quarter of my view of the movie screen and the theater was SO HOT, it was not enjoyable at all. We saw Wicked and that's a long movie. It was a terrible experience and I won't be back.

It works as a movie theater, for sure. Sound and screens all work great, but in terms of the theater itself, the place is often dirty, I've noticed napkins on the floor in the hallways, sticky floors in the theater, that sort of thing. Not a deal breaker since the theater is close to the house, but it has kept us from wanting to go see movies in theaters at all.

The Deerbrook 24 AMC theatre is a good choice to spend a few hours. If you can get beyond the noise about mall crime you might find the Deerbrook mall has been nicely renovated. It has 24 screens and a full bar. The theatre itself has also been remodeled with comfortable seats, clean bathrooms and great movie experience with IMAX, SDX and Dolby. The biggest thing they lack are customers. It's way too quiet. It's a little unnerving to watch a movie with on 2 or 3 other couples. With the food court located right outside the entrance there is no reason not to enjoy an evening here.

Saw Luca here after not visiting for over a decade and woah this place has gone completely downhill. Ripped chairs, glitchy screen, smelled like a locker room and just very messy. Overall needs a MAJOR touch up, Luca was great tho I just wanna talk more about Luca now before I puke

Dirty, stinky, & hot We went to see a late night show and the theater smelled like piss. We sat by the wall - big mistake because we saw a big roach crawling on the wall, it was absolutely disgusting. The seats felt so grimy, it felt like we were at a child's playground it was so gross. Half way thru the movie the electricity went out the movie shut off and they told us come back tomorrow for a refund and then when i went back they only offered gift certificates.. I will never go back. This place needs to be shut down. Managers and staff are also rude and lazy . The self service drink area was a absolute mess and had sticky old spilt drinks all over the counter tops as well as balled up napkins and straw paper it looked like it's never been cleaned. this place is very gross dirty smelly just the the employees

It is now 2:06pm. Our movie was supposed to start at 1:30pm. We have told the manager twice now. He came in and made an announcement that it could be another 25 min before the movie starts. W. T. F. This is ridiculous. Im not coming back here even. Too many bad experiences from previous visits.
