Food is good but pricey. A torta is about $12, a gordita is closer to $6, an agua fresca is also closer to $6. Both their salsas are tasty but not too spicy. Hours are limited though. Solid place to grab an early dinner when you don't feel like cooking.

This may have been the first time I've ever ordered a burger at a Mexican restaurant, and it will probably be my last. I've passed by QB a few times but never stopped in before. Since I'm running out of new restaurants to try in the Humble area, I figured I'd finally give this hole in the wall a try. They have breakfast, lunch plates, and a la carte items like tacos, gorditas, sopes, tortas, burritos, and quesadillas, all available at lunch time. It's a small place with like 6-8 tables. Like many taquerias, they just list out the available meats in one section of the menu you can place on each entree. I went with the burger since a previous review said it was good. I guess that reviewer never had a good burger before though. Their burger is about 1/3 lb of pre-formed frozen beef that comes on a regular bun with mayo and ketchup, shredded lettuce, slice of tomato and American cheese. I subbed the American for queso quesadilla. Fries that come with the order are crinkle cut with a bit of salt. The meal was one of the most forgettable meals in my life. I'm not sure the mayo wasn't really miracle whip. Some of the fries were hard....not sure why....maybe the potato was bad, maybe not cooked enough. ... I also ordered a large strawberry aqua fresca, which wasn't all that bad. If I ever decide to come back, I'll be sure to stick to what they do best.

For people that know nothing of authentic mexican food of course they believe this is a 3 star place. Those are the same people that left ignorant reviews below. Coming to this place you have to know what to get. Who comes to order a burger on their first visit ? Obviously a loser that leaves 3372649303 reviews a day bashing places and has nothing better to do. This place is a great restaurant that serves different dishes depending on the day of the week. That is their specialty. I will not judge on stupid things like a door with a bathroom sign leading into the washeteria or the fact there is a tv where they eat. That is not what defines the food. Food is great here you just have to know what to order. Ask them what their specials are that day.

Oh dear God someone labeled a 2 star a five star by mistake. Is this a Texas thing because I have been wondering why the star ratings are so messed up. The 3 stars are four stars, the 3 stars are 5 stars. First, the location of this place is in a gas station. A real gas station. Omg. While that itself is not a problem, the shear fact that this was like a small carry out. Look there is no way this is close to five stars. Please take a look at the pictures and see. The food is really bland and the plastic plates and cups scream, I am a two star place. Please use caution. I am not a person to put down a restaurant but Texas has forced me to do front the fact that it is more than the food. It is a lot more. There was a tv on in the eating area. There is a door marker restrooms that leads to a gas station. I mean come on. Come on!! There just has to be more. You know. Just more! There are no menus, just a bunch of words on a board behind the counter with no prices. Come on!!!! Terrible. Just terrible. If this food was authentic. I am a pirate.

The expression "a hole In the wall treasure" truly does fit this establishment. The food was delicious, a good take on homemade Mexican food. Every plate and I mean every plate is made from scratch; you can taste it in every bite. What really brings this restaurant home is the price; very reasonable not pricey at all. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!

I live nearby, so I thought I would stop in and get a taco to go. As I approached the door, I saw a sign for their homemade hamburger. I changed my mind from taco to hamburger and was glad I did. It was a real old-fashioned hamburger, like I remember from my childhood, and it was great! It was large but not expensive. If you don't like ketchup on your burger, you need to mention it because they add it when you say "everything" on it. I love ketchup, just not on my burger. I have been back several times and I always get the hamburger. I plan to try their Mexican food if I can ever get off the hamburger kick.
