I've been to a few different Baytown Seafood restaurants in the chain, and while this one wasn't bad, it didn't quite stand up to the others in Baytown. For one, the prices are different in the chain, and this one was on the higher end. The service was good, no complaints there as well. I'll usually go for the fried catfish or snapper as my safe pick, and it works as a great control to compare seafood restaurants. This location did a good fry, crispy, but not hard for a pleasantly light crunch. The snapper I got didn't taste as fresh though, and it had a fishier smell than other places too. The dirty rice was well seasoned, but dry and undercooked. All in all, a fairly average experience for me, but I think ill stick to the original over in Baytown.

The salads that came with our entrees were simple but fresh and very good. My wife got the 12 piece large fried shrimp dinner, very tasty, the onion rings she picked to go with it were sad. I ordered the chicken fried steak which turned out to be a mistake, it didn't taste very good...I ate about a third of it. I picked a baked tater loaded to go with it, it was pretty good and no upcharge. We shared a small gumbo which was a good size for a small...unfortunately it did not measure up to our expectations, we each ate about 3 bites apiece.... Go for fried shrimp if you're in the area, skip everything else.

The wait staff are nice but the food, we ordered the fried catfish and it taste freezer tainted and fishy- same as last time and the fries are not much more than thaw out lightly, fry then serve. French fries should crispy and firm inside. I thought the last visit the Diarrea was just a coincidence but 30 minutes later more Diarrea was on again right after dinner, just like last trip. Our group said about the same thing what I am saying now, we will be saying goodby.

Ate here before, during, and after Covid. Quality was bad during/right after Covid, however they seem to have improved. Fish could use more seasoning but was very fresh and hot and cooked perfectly. The fries were excellent, fried perfectly, probably best fries in the area.

Today was my last trip to this restaurant. I gave them another chance after the cashier added a substantial tip to my BIL's card AFTER they left and after he had paid cash for the tip. Today I order the lunch grilled flounder. The cashier dropped the bill on my table, and the charge was for the dinner ($6 more). I told her the amount was incorrect. She (with great snark), said "Well, you ordered the grilled flounder). I said I ordered the Lunch grilled flounder. It was still more than an hour before lunch service was over, btw. She grabbed up the ticket, wadded it up, and trounced off. I think I'm seeing a trend here. Good luck, Baytown Seafood. I'm done. My server was very nice, and the food was good. I just have a problem with someone trying to screw me over.

I took a star off because of bad service from our waitress. We told her twice to separate the checks between my friend and me and she didn't. It was obvious I needed a bag since I was going to take two containers to go. I don't like waste but did need one. I got up to ask for something in the cash register area and the waitress was looking at her phone. The restaurant wasn't busy. Some items are served in their china and some in styrofoam. The cole slaw is good and not swimming in mayo; however, $4 for this side item is too much. It should be $3. The menu is ample and includes pad Thai. My shrimp soup was ok and nothing to write home about. My friends seemed to enjoy their meals which included crab cakes, fried shrimp, steamed veggies and baked potato.

Their large seafood Gumbo is 1) not a large anyone, maybe a medium at best And 2) lacking of seafood. I found 3/4 of a shrimp in my gumbo. Really???? For 11.99.??? now i see why the place is empty every time I visit!

this place has gone downhill to the very bottom! the woman that apparently is a manager was so ugly to us for no reason at all! this place has no business for good reason! we made the correct decision to leave before we even ordered after seeing the dried food on the table, and chairs! all we asked was could someone clean it for us! my wife said after she came out of the bathroom that it had no soap, or towels, and was disgusting! we all were leaving right then when that obnoxious woman yelled at us "don't ever come back"! well that is a sure thing that we will never, ever go to this dump again! but the city health department needs to go, and shut them down!!!we went to lotus seafood in stafford, and it was clean, and the food was outstanding!

Food was delicious! The waitress were super helpful and patient with us. They gave us suggestions and brought our food out pre quickly. We will definitely be coming back! Shrimp were huuuge! Sauce was sooo yummy

The food is really good. It's fresh, hot and well-seasoned. The tv is going in and out today and it's a bit slow but that how we like it. The room is nice and cold and the smell is okay. The aesthetics is late 80's lost fishing boat.
