It was as expected- service was great, restaurant was clean and the food was great. We were seated immediately and the food came fast! We ordered a pound of beef fajitas and the were just how I remembered them, tender and full of flavor. It came w 6 huge tortillas, cheese, guac and pico. It also had a grilled jalepeno and a couple strips of poblano on the sizzling tray. We had leftover but only because we didn't stuff ourselves. It's always a little pricey but we go knowing that! It was my birthday and they gave us a free flan that was very tasty!

Just not good enough nor consistent enough. Flavors taste processed and like they use low quality ingredients. There are two things on the menu that are good- the trio fajitas and the chicken flautas. Otherwise, this would be a much lower review. We stopped coming here for over a year and recently came back just because it was convenient. Same ol Lupe though. Semi warm beers, erratic service, food served that's been sitting under the warmer for ten extra minutes, and your typical sweet tasting non authentic Mexican food. With so many other options in and around Houston it's pointless to come here. Authentic Mexican food tastes better and is better priced as well. Also, every time I've used an app to get it delivered in the past my order was wrong. I called in to speak to a manager after half my order was incorrect and was offered a discount on my next meal and a whole lot of attitude. They are busy enough though, so they will be fine without my business. Even if you like Tex Mex, there are still better options.

Lupe Tortilla definitely has the potential to be 5 stars but I don't know if they will ever invest in what it takes to do that. My wife and I walked in and were seated near instantly. It wasn't a huge crowd though there were several gathered at the bar watching Football. Once seated, it took a solid 13 minutes or so before we were greeted by our server. She checked in to let us know she would be right back. That took another 18 minutes. When she returned, we'd already figured out an appetizer, main entree, and drinks (we had plenty of time since it took so long). She brought chips and 2 kinds of salsa, bean salsa and your typical red salsa. Salsa and chips were both good. Chips were thin, just the right amount of salt, crispy and flavorful. Salsa was also pretty good. A little spicy but not too much. We ordered the following: - Shrimp and Avocado Campechano (App) - Trio Fajitas - Lobster Tacos - Margarita Flight (3 different flavors) - Blanca Sangria Before tip, that entire meal was $117. A bit expensive for a restaurant that casual if you ask me. Here's what we liked: - Margarita flight was good per my wife. Good flavor choices and mixed well - The Trio Fajitas were good. I also ordered it with the jalapeno sausage which was exceptional. I really enjoyed their tortillas. They taste like they are made from scratch. I had corn and flour. Shrimp, chicken and steak were seasoned well. Tender and flavorful. What we didn't like: - Shrimp and Avocado Campechano just didn't do it for us. Almost tasted like a bloody mary and Campbell's tomato soup mixed together with overly gamey tasting shrimp - Lobster tacos were just OK. They didn't really mesh with my wife. She ate them but because she was starved. - Blanca Sangria was too sweet and almost tasted like they weren't finished making it. Wasn't a fan. The manager did come by towards the end of our meal to ask us if we were doing OK and if we needed anything. I like that and I think all restaurants should do that. But most times, I won't give negative feedback about something unless it's unbearably bad since I know they are busy. All in all, Lupe Tortillas should tune up their wait staff with training and customer expectations, hire more efficient cooks and make sure the bartenders are getting the drinks right. I am sure this place will get more business and repeat customers as a result. We may go back in a pinch but would rather try other restaurants in the area first.

Ahh Lupe Tortilla! I've been to Lupe Tortilla many times! But this was my first time at this Missouri City location. We arrived on a Saturday evening for dinner and it was busy! We had a 15 minute wait which turned out to be a 10 minute wait so not bad! We were quickly seated and our server was very scrambled. He introduced himself and told us he was newer and they were very understaffed. He also mentioned he was assigned to this area which is not where he normally is assigned ( we thought it was odd he was giving us a lot of details but ignored it) . As we reviewed the menus, it took us a while to get our chips and salsas. We also decided to order drinks- I ordered a pina colada, my husband and friend also ordered drinks. We waited a while without the waiter coming back to us and started getting really hungry. We knew what we wanted to order but didn't have a waiter to take our order. My husbands friend ordered a mojito and the waiter asked another waiter in front of us if the mojito needed mint or what drink it was (something similar) that's when we knew we were in big trouble. We were giving our waiter grace since he did say he was a newer staff member. We ordered our food- I ordered veggie enchiladas and confirmed with him I am a vegetarian and asked for black beans as well. After maybe 20 minutes we got our drinks and food. The second I cut the enchiladas I knew it was chicken and not cheese. My husbands friend got their food correctly and began to eat. As I waited for the waiter to come back they finished their dishes. I then explained to him this is chicken he took it back to the kitchen apologized and they started making a veggie enchilada plate for me. After some time I got my food, and began eating. The food as usual was good! When we were done we knew it was time to go but again our waiter was no where to be found. We finally got the check and it was together so we asked if we could have me and husband together and his friend separate but he didn't seem to understand, we gave him our cards and he left. When he came back he was confused. He didn't charge any cards. We then asked if we could just split it in threes with three different cards but he didn't understand. At this point my husband started getting really frustrated but was biting his tongue. We then said never mind just charge it all to one card and we will Venmo each other. So he charged the one card and we quickly left. Overall the experience was negative because of the staff member assigned to us but because the food.

Vibrant Tex mex place with whimsical decor. My favorite part is that they have a separate vegetarian menu with a lot to choose from. Love the inclusivity! Can expect a wait time during the dinner rush. Hostess and severs are attentive and helpful when it comes to the menus and recommendations. I ordered the veggie fajitas. Pretty standard veggies- bell peppers, onions, zucchini. Not really seasoned.

This place needs to get it together. Ambiance was lovely. We were quickly seated however our service during the whole entire experience was excruciatingly slow. My husband got the chicken quesadillas, my brother got the vegetarian enchiladas with Rojo sauce and I got the vegetable fajitas. The first thing I asked for was plain corn and it to be taken off the cobb because I needed to give it to my daughter to eat. This was the last thing that was brought out, and it was still on the Cobb with all these sauces added to it that I specifically said please do not add ( and by last thing I mean approximately one hour after we ordered the corn). My 2 year old was cranky and so hungry by the end she was screaming and we had to leave. Our food was decent nothing amazing, looks better than it tastes. So many other Mexican restaurants that are better in the area. We will not be coming back.

This place is so close to our home so I really want it to get better. The hosts are super sweet. The food is decent. Chips are crispy and not oily. Salsa has a good kick. Fajita decent. Rice has too much cumin. The service is terrible. So bad that it is the only reason I am not here weekly. It is hit or miss when it comes to the waitstaff. Mostly hit. I blame management.
