Do not book here. Rented a 15 person Sprinter van for a very important business tour in which multiple clients were flying into Houston from NYC. I communicated constantly with Thomas to make sure everyone would be just as we had agreed. LESS THAN 24 hours before we were set to pick up, he calls saying the "AC had gone out" and "we cant get it fixed in time". Seems like this has happened before from reading the other reviews. (Is it possible he was lying to us because he had accidentally rented the other one out?...PROBABLY) Of course by this point, we cannot find a single other van in the city of Houston to rent. Thomas says he can get us a "9 passenger van" which would BARELY fit our guests and luggage. We expected a discount (obviously?). He claimed the car he was renting to us was HIGH luxury and more expensive per hour and after hours of going back and forth he still wouldn't budge on the discount. Naturally we expected AT THE MINIMUM he would be there ON TIME and with a clean van. NOT EVEN CLOSE. 15 minutes late (which only set us up for a late start to the tour) He had gone to McDonalds before and had his own coffee and breakfast in the car. The entire car REEKED of onions, seems like there was a party in there before with food??? He didn't inform us that the cup handle was broken and our client put his coffee there which promptly SLID and slipped over all the tour materials, ruining them. To really cap it off...he texted us asking that we leave the van in a random lot near the airport instead of where we had agreed on. Unbelievable. I could go on....you get the point. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. A rental car service should never commit even one of these infractions. And to think we never received a discount.....................

Beginning the process to rent an Executive Sprinter Van. I reached out via phone and spoke with Thomas. He asked me to either book online or send him a copy of my DL and Insurance. I ran into a website error - so I sent over my info via text as requested. So far, the process has been smooth. Will update the review once everything is complete.

Do not come here! Did not stick by their word with the rental vehicle. We booked 2 months ahead of time and the day of pick up, they tell us the car is not available. This occurred At 5pm, when all other places are closed. What were we suppose to do? We had to postpone our trip and lost money on our airbnb. There was no apologies and no communication from their end. It seemed like they didn't care. UNACCEPTABLE and will not be coming here again. Will advise everyone to stay away.

Short story - save yourself the hassle and rent from a professional company. We reserved the 2019 Mercedes Sprinter and asked about their Covid policy - Thomas Vinod replied on 7/6/20 "Hi - We understand the current situation. You don't need to pay now. Will get payment later" then again he confirmed on 7/13/20 "Its ok...you can sign and make full payment before picking up the van" (I can include screen shots if it helps)....flash forward to 7/23 and we call to say we are on our way (over an hour) to pick up van and he says its not ready it had an air conditioning issue can we come a 4pm...I say no, we have an itinerary and a house rental that is non-refundable so he says he can have by 12noon. We arrive shortly before and he offers to "discount" our van by $50 a day and updates DocuSign with the "new rate". We wait downstairs for the crew to finish cleaning the van...and we are handed a key to a 2016 Sprinter. He tries to tell us its the "same as the other Sprinter" but it doesn't have blue tooth, car play or any of the features. Turns out he only has one 2019 Sprinter and he gave it to another person the day before.....but wait, the drama doesn't end...we are now 3 hours late leaving so decide we don't have a choice and take the 2016 van. We drive it home, load luggage and family and hit the road.....the rear AC doesn't blow or work at all! Its Texas, 97 degrees and everyone is sweating. Out of desperation, we start calling Alamo and other rental companies because we can't drive a van without AC for 2 weeks....PV Rentals comes through with a new 15 person passenger van. Its not the sprinter we wanted but its new and most importantly, it has AC. We tell Thomas Vinod we are getting a van that works and he meets us at PV to retrieve his crappy van. The only good news is we didn't have to call American Express to protest Texan Rental charge, they voided the transaction later than evening.

Don't listen to other reviews! These guys are amazing, excellent customer service, and great vehicles!!! Sorry for the experience of these others, but Texan Auto gave us excellent care! We'll definitely be renting from them again!!!

Beware of multiple 5 star reviews. Horrible customer service. Roof leaks into van! I had a TERRIBLE rental experience with texan auto rental. I rented a sprinter van online for a long road trip. I called the day before to confirm my reservation and they were not aware of my confirmation. There is no one available in the office if you have any questions or issues. The sprinter was not fully cleaned when we got the rental. We opened the cup holder and some nasty liquid fell out and there was still trash in the cubbies. None of the outlets in the passenger cabin worked. The worst part is that the sprinter ceiling leaked in the rain. The passengers in our car sitting in the back had wet shirts and pants by the end of our trip. The engine light came on with a stating that only "15 starts left." When we tried to discuss these concerns with Vinod, he did not give any discount and then stopped answering our calls and texts.. He also stated that he knew about the leak and he "takes it to the shop and gets it fixed and it keeps leaking."

Reservations doesn't answer on day of rental. I missed important business matter relying on their service. Company worth one star overall. Zero stars for customer service they didn't even call me back. This company is a joke.

Unreliable, deceptive, unprofessional, and unethical van rental company. Short story: I paid the full amount weeks in advance, they kept lying to me about van availability and in the end screwed me by not having a van on the pick up day for my reservation. Don't believe anything they say no matter how promising it sounds. Make sure to get everything in writing. I booked my reservation and paid in full 6-7 weeks in advance of my trip. The week before my trip, the owner texts me saying that they had a "computer error" and the ford van I reserved is no longer available and I have to pay $20 extra per night for the Mercedes van. We "resolved" the issue by allowing me to rent the Mercedes van for no additional charge. On top of that, when I initially reserved my van, we agreed to 2000 free miles. The owner went back on his word and said that he never agreed do that. Eventually, he obliged and said he would give me 2000 free miles. He took more than a few days to send me the confirmation papers even though he said he would do it that same night. Once I saw the confirmation papers, it said I only have 1250 free miles. I tried to contact the owner but he wouldn't pick up and kept rejecting my calls. I got a hold of them a day before my pick up date and the co-owner said they can't do 2000 free miles anymore. They changed their mind. The co- owner also mentioned that they were having issues and all their vans were rented out. He told me not to worry and that they would be leasing another van to give to me. On the day of my vacation when I needed the van the co owner kept telling me that they would definitely have the van and that I would be able to pick it up that same day. They would not pick up my calls when I tried to get a status update. Eventually they said that the van would not be available at the time that I needed it. I demanded and got my full refund but had to deal with the fact that an hour before my trip I had to go hunting for another 15 passenger so I wouldn't have to cancel my vacation. Pathetic.
