As someone who actively tries to eat sushi every time i'm out of town, this is genuinely some of the best sushi i've ever had. The sushi is so buttery and just melts in your mouth. The fish is extremely fresh and delicious, perfectly seasoned. Ambiance is wonderful, extremely friendly staff and the chefs are very quick and efficient in getting your food. Overall, an amazing experience and I cannot recommend this place enough.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. My brother and I came to Nishiki to celebrate his birthday, and days later we are still talking about it. The service was just as remarkable as the setting. Our waitress guided us with thoughtful suggestions, and every single one was spot-on. The presentation, the flavors, the portions--each dish felt like a masterpiece. Simply put: AHHHHMAZING! (Yes, with all the extra letters.) Truly a "Chef's Kiss" experience. ‍ Eric, in particular, stood out. Knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely warm--he made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just diners. It was clear that everyone at Nishiki isn't just doing a job; they're passionate food lovers who care deeply about the experience they're creating. We're not easily impressed, but Nishiki has us already planning our return. This wasn't just dinner--it was a memory in the making. Nishiki is the kind of place you crave long after the last bite.

Came here for a weekend lunch and it was pretty empty. The restaurant was clean and inviting. They had classic Japanese food items - sashimi, makimono, nigiri, and hot and cold appetizers. My partner and I had the crispy rice cake, king salmon roll, truffle Suzuki roll, soft shell crab roll, maguro flight, sake sashimi, and ishiyaki. The crispy rice cake was an interesting dish with a nice sauce. Not too sure about the purpose of the snow crab on the plate though. The rolls were good - ingredients were fresh. The maguro flight was a little disappointing as the quality wasn't there. The sake sashimi was pleasantly seasoned. Overall the food was decent. Would go back if I happen to be in the area.

Definitely found another gem in Pearland today. We stopped by to try this place for the first time and was not disappointed. This place is so aesthetically pleasing , clean and spacious. We were immediately seated and given waters, and shortly thereafter greeted by our waiter. We wanted to try some apps and hot entrees because the menu was a little intimidating for us. Apps: Pan-fried Gyoza (best bite), Shishito Peppers, Sashimi Taco, Veggie Tempura w/Shrimp Entree: Truffle fried rice/Smoke Salmon nigiri Everything was cooked and seasoned deliciously. We actually made a "super sauce" by combining the sauce from the gyoza and shishito peppers. We saw a lot of other dishes to explore on the next outing, so needless to say we will be back. This is a nice date night restaurant if you want to stay close to home. Enter freely, they've been approved

If you're looking for a more upscale sushi experience in Pearland this is definitely a must try. The space is beautifully designed and very intimate while boasting an open floor concept. This location also offers outdoor seating. It's the perfect spot for a date night or dinner with the girls! Bryce was a fantastic host for the evening. We enjoyed his service and his recommendations were spot on for what we were in the mood for. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We will certainly return.

Wow, Pearland, what a gem!!! This is my second time to bring my 80 yr old Dad here. He loves sushi. Off the beaten path, but easy to find and ample parking. The food and service are FABULOUS!! We have some the lunch special which we split, and this time, on a Sunday we ordered three rolls. Every one better than the last! The shrimp tempera was dad's fav, I loved it too. A wonderful combination of flavors! Also, give the sweet potato roll a try. Such a nice treat! This is my go-to place for delicious sushi in Pearland!

Why 5 stars? Because this was one of the better sushi experiences that I've had in the Houston area. --- --- --- About a week before coming to Nishiki, I went to another sushi place and it was just so clearly lacking in quality, which (literally) left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. But a bunch of us were celebrating my Mom's 60th birthday and she wanted sushi, so we figured a place with 4.8 stars would be a safe bet. It was. We were in a group of 8, so we just decided to roll with family style rules: order a bunch of stuff and sharesies. This is good for trying a bunch of things, but bad for quality review writing. I honestly lost track of what each roll was, so I'll simplify things as best as I can... Appetizers: Rock Shrimp: 5-stars. Truffle Fried Rice: 4.5-stars. Crispy Rice Cakes: 4-stars. Sushi: (Here's where it gets tricky.) Holiday: 5-stars - there was universal agreement that this was pretty much everyone's favorite. Rock Shrimp: 3.5-stars. The rock shrimp appetizer was great, but I didn't love it nearly as much as in sushi form. Wagyu: 3-stars - I did not love how citrusy this one was. But my sister-in-law loved this roll, so I'd chalk it up more to preferences. And then where it began to lump altogether was with the rest of the rolls: Umami Kawaii King Salmon Shag Poseidon I would say everything here ranged between 4.5 and 5 stars. As I would take a bite of one, I would think, "*this* is my favorite." But then I'd try another one and start arguing with myself on which one I liked more. And then that scenario would happen again and again. Bottom line: this place really reminded me of one of my favorite restaurants of my entire life (in Tampa), which is about the highest praise I can offer it. The amazing star rating is well-deserved!

Nishiki truly impressed me with the quality of their sushi and the atmosphere of their restaurant! Located in a suburban shopping center in Pearland, I enjoyed how Nishiki brought a luxurious touch to the block. The fish were very fresh and flavorful, and the servers were quick and attentive. It is a smaller restaurant but the intimate setting feels classy rather than cramped. The calming, warm lighting is a nice touch for a place to eat dinner in the evening. My favorites to order were the Crudo roll and all of the salmon nigiri options (classic salmon, smoked salmon, and king salmon). The dishes were filling and delicious, truly one of the best sushi I've had. This restaurant makes a beautiful date spot in the suburbs, where parking in its own lot is easy and stress-free. I look forward to returning here again!

We loved the vibe at Nishiki. The ambiance was casual, comfortable and the sound at an ideal level for conversing with friends. Adrianna was an excellent server - attentive without being intrusive. I had the shrimp katsu bento lunch bento - 4 out of 5. I did not care for the salad dressing, although it was perfectly dressed. The salmon bento was excellent. 5 out of 5 Beef negamaki was 5 out of 5 - would have preferred the beef to be a little less done. The dancing roll was a 4 out of 5, but my husband also had them not the avocado. If we lived local, we would absolutely be back.

Nishiki is AMAZING! As my trip to Texas was winding down, I found this Japanese restaurant that is the talk of the town when I did a simple search about them. The customer service is delightful and helpful. Our waitress even gave my niece some chopstick trainers for her chopsticks as she is practicing to get better like her uncle . The sushi was fresh, appealing to the eye and we ate every bite. You know it's good when you don't need any soy sauce and can just savor the sushi in your mouth. The restaurant is dimly lit at night with a great ambience for date night. The cocktails are great especially the cucumber mojito! If you haven't been yet and you live near or in the Pearland area, try it out and thank me later!
